[PAYDAY 2] The Alesso Heist DSOD: Ultimate Stealth Guide || Everything you need to know

- Complete guide explaining EVERYTHING about how to stealth The Alesso Heist, easily and reliably: general tips; trip mine placements to mark all relevant guards in the heist, with high uptime; list of guards, their patrol locations, and their common waypoints; C4 locations (even though essentially you just check all closets); placing certain cutters without needing the forklift...
I expect some players will be wondering about the security room: I didn't want to cover it because the video was getting very long, and I didn't want to include "obvious" things -- one of the three cam room spawns can't be accessed (when it's in the lobby), and it's not worth wasting time restarting until you get a good security room... may as well learn how to do the map with cameras, especially considering they are hardly an inconvenience.

I love how there's like 15 guards on average in each stealthable map, but when you play it, it seems that there's entire army

I can see why people hate this heist but with thorough planning it can be completed with ease, I personally don’t mind this, and I play it for Alesso’s music when blowing the C4

Personally, I find Jewelry Store/Ukranian to be my least favorite simply because of how boring it is. This one is more tedious, but actually has risk involved with it. I was able to, surprisingly, pass it on my first ever attempt. Haven't been able to stealth it since, in 10+ tries XD
Hey Blonde! I can see why some people dislike it, because it's very linear (not many options to complete it because the objectives can only be done in one specific order), and with poor planning it can get very repetitive after a few restarts. However, with a strategy that works easily 100% of the time, it's quite a fun heist! :p

This heist is one of the few reasons why I have a carry stacker mod, boring bag moving once you secure the area with no challenge, just a deterrent against playing solo. It's a shame some of the best solo heists have that very stage so drawn out
i played on switch(feels bad, when i get a pc imma play online) and kinda had to play solo, thus if i wanted to have fun, i had to do the easier ones first in order to be able to do anything on the actual good ones, thus i've found stealth(ai for friends sucks) and the jewelry store/diamond store.(and if i had known about it, the stealth copy-right printing mission)
These missions were easy and rewarded a fairly good amount of money/exp for a solo person
The longer missions were tedious in stealth as if i messed up anywherr i had to completely reset thus longer heists were a no go(especially with the trash joysticks of the switch)
This is a real tutorial, step by step but done in a way that its funner and extremely informative, perfect.

I remember when I would just walk straight into a guard and fail the heist embarrassingly! Very thorough and detailed video. Explanations are easy to follow and understand. The ending was priceless! I didn't know that was even possible!

I know the feeling of just accidentally walking into guards, I always got cocky and didn't take any form of berth around a corner and ended up screwing it over

Ah Marc, your stealth guides are always on point. For me this is one of the hardest (also one of the most boring) stealth heists in the game. Will use this video if I'll ever want to torture myself lol.

I only just realized once he got to the pyro booth, this legend found a way to not have the Alesso music constantly in the background.
Hey Yama, that's right! I really wanted to make a Viklund concert just to have some fun with the editing :p So I downloaded a mod called "Disable Alesso Heist Music" which made it very straightforward to add Viklund's song over that part of the footage :)
Just powering through career, and your stuff is really helpful. I really liked this heist! One big reason being the music design. You get a taste immediately, and as you get further down, the music goes quieter. But then there's a big buildup when you climb back up to the pyrotechnics room past allll of those guards, and you get a nice climactic moment. Then as you go back to work, it calms back down, while you get to enjoy an expertly prepared peace.
Happy to hear that my tips are helping you through the career mode, Zakru! I also really love that about this heist. They were very smart and programmed the background music as an SFX, allowing them to modify its volume depending on your distance to the concert (rather than standard BGM, which would have constant volume), which works really well and makes you feel more involved in the situation. Really amazing stuff!
Of the 8 times I beat this on DS/OD, I never thought of going from top to bottom, the amount of resets I had to do cause of being caught sneaking back down after going up. Thanks for that tip man!

This heist, though, is incredibly infuriating for me, both Loud and Stealth.
Stealth has to deal with an army of guards, Loud has to deal with an actual army stealing loot while you're still trying to move it (I like to constantly move my loot into piles but they get taken when I try to move the next bag to the pile).
Although this map is quite possibly the most beautiful and atmospheric one in the game, never once in either version did I think "Meh just another average stealth-optional heist".
Edit: I only just realized it with this video, bit I love the little pitter-patter of feet when you speed up sprinting xD

I've never played it loud (I'm a stealth-only player!) but I can definitely see how something like that would happen, when moving 18 money bags.
I agree that the heist itself is beautiful -- I especially liked the vault design, as soon as I saw it (looks very cool and clean), and the plan to steal from it is also very original :)
And yeah, surprisingly, the ingame sounds for PAYDAY 2, when sped up at x4 or x3 rate, sound surprisingly nice!!
Ahh Alesso Heist,conceptually one of the cooler heists but it takes so goddam long to do in both loud and stealth and it's not as fun as Golden Grin,this was very helpful tho,been playing for so many years and yet I had no clue about the TV interaction in the basement very niceee
The trip mines placements will also come in very handy,I always bring them with me in this one just like for the Diamond but simply place em where it feels right lol
Honestly this heist wouldn't be such a chore if it wasn't for the basement cameras,and man if only they added spycams..

First of all, very sorry for my very late response. I've been busy the last 3 days editing today's video (which ended up being 30 minutes long, so it took much longer than expected) and so I have been unable to read/answer comments to focus on that.
Whenever I think about rating this heist, I also always compare it to GGC. For crew play specially, they are like polar opposites: one is completely linear, forcing the objectives to be done in a very specific order, and while everyone else waits when not involved in the current step. The other gives you complete freedom to simultaneously complete all objectives in any order, which is much better. Luckily, for solo play the linearity doesn't matter, so I can enjoy it as a nice solo heist :)
And for sure, trip mines are very powerful here! And spycams in THE Diamond are easily the best asset there :)
Really great, well detailed and informative guide, it actually helped me finally complete this heist in full stealth after countless fails, so huge thanks to you, man! After watching it, it still took about 10-15 tries to optimize my strategies and all that, but the guide definitely improved my overall approach. However, on one of those runs I had myself sabotaged by the game itself; I finally reached the sawing process, never have I ever got that far. I was in complete euphoria, as I carefully managed the forklifting and safe-sawing. I even got the Capital Hill Candy spawn, which was especially great, since I previously killed that guard, and I had no more pagers left (I killed the two at the basement, and one usptairs as well). I'm not kidding you, I was moving the forklift to the last location, and as I tried to get out; I couldn't, because one of those goddamn money piles somehow blocked it. I tried to move as fast as possible, but the camera still spotted me, and as I tried to escape (I drove into a wall and that somehow fixed it lol), a freaking skulldozer ended all my hopes and dreams. I exited the game and didn't touch it for a day, only for me to complete the heist first try when I next opened it up. So yeah, always look on the bright side of life. And thanks again for the guide!

As for the forklift block thing, it has happened to me once, and it's the worst situation ever... the game literally says the exit is blocked just because there's a money on top of you, which can often last for quite a while and end in disaster. It took nearly a minute for me to free myself (driving back and forth to push the money off), although luckily for me it happened away from the cameras. If it had been in front of a cam, my run would've died just like yours, ouch...
This is probably one of my most disliked heists to play loud so I go stealth everytime and here I thought I know everything i need to know. Good video man, keep up the great work. I only recently subcribed but I love your content

My friend and I just bought the game and this was one of our first heists. It took us a few days but we finally managed to do the heist stealth. I decided to search up other runs and watching this guide has made me realize how helpful trip mines are and that there are preplanning assets we could have bought lol. Great guide overall but it is possible to get rid of the security room guard to disable cameras, even in the entrance lobby. Its very risky due to the two civs standing near by but you can get rid of their detection by crouching right next to the table they are at. After, as long as the guards are not walking down or facing the door it becomes possible to lock pick and kill the guard. There is one civ that does detect the body if it falls into the center of the security room, but you can get the body to fall alongside the table. Then bag it and shove it in the corner of the room and sprint out. Its honestly not worth it though since you have to make your way all the way back to the top to pick up the c4.
Stealthed this for the first time, I forgot to bring mines but still did it because of you I knew where guards could be so (thanks to you!) I didn’t get spotted around corners. Probably one of my most favorite heists now. Thanks!

I did it with mines and without, I use mines when I need quick exp, and no mines when I want a fun, challenging time. Alesso is one of those stealth maps that is in tight corridors, but still takes a challenge while not having to wait for guards to move much and also with straight objectives. A really fun one to solo indeed!

This is great timing for me, as my friend and I tried to stealth this several times the other day and kept messing up before we could place the C4. Thanks to this, we should do much better when we try again.
Hey Badger! It's always great to post a video with perfect timing :) Hopefully you and your friend can enjoy the heist with this strategy! The heist is very linear (you can't do objectives ahead of time) so the overall heist will look very similar to mine.
For this reason, one strategy that works REALLY WELL for duo is to have one player masked up, and another player following him in casing mode, marking the civilian (via Sixth Sense) and the guard in each area. This gives a lot of information combined with the trip mines, so with this approach, it's impossible to fail! And you can take turns alternating who is masked up and who is in casing mode, so it's a lot of fun to play in my opinion :)
Just spent 30 minutes on my first try, everything went perfectly, secured all loot just to fail it at the end because i ran into a guard... Bruh. Ty for the tutorial tho big fan here! Still watching and learning in 2022

Wow, ok. I tried this twice without any info, and it... didn't go well. Your guide is brilliant as always. Thanx a lot! I did have one big problem on my run, though... Down in the basement I had to move the forklift to a position that was covered by two cameras, so that was... interesting, as I couldn't just temporarily disable one. I ended up PECM'ing it, so I could put it into position.

This one is indeed quite tricky to approach without a guide: lots of moving pieces, and a complex heist layout at first glance. Glad my tips helped! And yes indeed, sometimes the two cameras spawn in such a way that you'll have to either PCM or ECM to move the forklift safely. Sadly I couldn't get a clip of that back when I recorded this video!
Did this on my first try thanks to your tutorial. didnt complete it though, wasnt concentrating and ran straight into a guard during the exit haha

In my opinion, the consistent trip mine marks make the strategy very reliable, and the heist easier. Going up and down is no longer a problem, because of how safe it is!
on my final attempt (it was like a 4th or 3rd 0_0 ) i forgot to put the trip mines in the propper places, when it got to the basement part, ive killed the guards (lucky lucky), and just looped one of the cameras (the 2nd one was in the corridor near the basement) and started moving the bags. but by the time i had to throw them in the vent, i didnt have any body bags or pagers! so i put all of the trip mines i had all around the red squares! i was so lucky not to get caught there!

I remember the first time I tried to do this in stealth with a friend, and we failed, many, many times. It was hell, and we just gave up to frustration after a couple hours of trying. Now I can complete it consistently with ease. I always though I had to kill the camera guard because of the downstairs area, I thought the cameras would notice the C4 going off and instantly fail lol. Or the money bundles falling, and I didn't want to worry about always having the cameras on loop. So that's always the first thing I did in this heist. It's complicated if the camera room spawns in the lobby area, but not impossible and requires a lot of patience. Then I always kill the 2 guard downstairs, and the guard that is in whatever kitchen that we need to deliver the loot. The hard part is just moving upstairs and downstairs without getting caught. Your trip mine tips will make this heist even easier for me though, I learned this heist through trial and failure before I learned how useful trip mines are for stealth.
One small detail that I believe deserves a note. Sometimes you get two cams in the vault area if RNG doesn't like you, and looping them at the same time while moving the forklift isn't really the best option (although with a competent pair you might be able to abuse the few seconds where the game lets you loop a new cam as the old one is about to exit loop). Fortunately pocket ECMs are an excellent solution to this, since you can just activate them, then enter the forklift and move it under ECM. If it wasn't for those I'd bring Burglar for faster lockpick speed because some C4 spawns are just terrible. Such a problem usually shows itself in 4P pubs.
Hey ForAllEpsilon! That's a good point, actually. There can indeed be 2 cameras in the vault area (quite often), and using pocket ECMs if you're ever in a troublesome situation is quite a straightforward solution.
However, from my experience, whenever there's 2 cameras, they are set up with very large blind spots so that, if you move properly (behind the columns and boxes) the forklift is only in the field of view of one camera at a time. For example, at the example I show at 9:51, there's 2 cameras in the vault area, but only 1 is spotting the forklift at any given time. The second camera can be seen at 9:55 (right behind the forklift) but it's placed in such a way that you can move across half the basement while being spotted by only one camera, and whenever the other camera sees you, there are blind spots for the previous one.
However, as you say, there may be combinations that don't have this kind of "blind" spots -- but if they do exist, I've never noticed them because, as you suggest, I play this one with Hacker always, so I wouldn't have noticed. If I ever make an appendix for this guide, I'll check that aspect more thoroughly, and add a few clips. Thank you for the feedback! :)

The guards take quite a while to notice the TV and go there though, so like I mentioned in the video I definitely recommend doing it before going to check the last C4 area :)

A safer shortcut on the way back to the basement from the booth is the balcony overseeing the stairwell with the pillars. You can simply spot the guard who patrols that area, verify he is walking towards the top or is at the bottom of the stairwell, then jump down and get behind cover.
Hey M3L0! I guess you mean the balcony that is to my right at 4:48 in the video? In the past I used that shortcut a lot too! But since I started using this trip mine placement, I always have the guard in the upper part of the stairwell marked, so for me it's now easier to go the long way around: this way I just have to check whether the second guard (the one at the lower floor) is in front of me or not, rather than having to check both left and right and then taking a very small risk as I jump down!
@@Marcmb In most cases it would be more efficient to take the path you were, especially with the tripmine placement. It really just comes down the location of the guards and whether it would be faster/safer to take the shortcut or sprint through.

@@M3L0618 Based on your response it looks like you were indeed talking about that balcony at 4:48 :p I wanted to confirm, because I thought maybe you were talking about a different shortcut.
As I mentioned, I used to be a fan of this shortcut, but the blind spot on the right due to the tight corner is so bad, that I always felt awful when the guard was turning the corner just as I jumped down... it can be faster for sure though, and it would definitely be worth considering for regular runs, with just one or two trip mines to get some vision on that guard!
Again an extremely thorough video! I only have three small things to add.
1. When getting the c4, you can actually get c4 through the wall in either configuration, it's just when the room is straight the hitbox is slightly weirder (can save 1-2secs)
2. When coming back down from the pyrotechnics booth, it's much faster if you jump down to the top of the booth in the lobby and onto the stairs to the kitchen (the area around 13:37)
3. When escaping the heist, it's actually faster and safer to alert a guard/camera and have the heist go loud, go up to area again at 13:37 and escape there. Saves a lot of time.
Other than that, great video, has all the other tricks that I know and use-- : )

(1) I guess if I play around with the "seed" value that you mentioned last time (the one that also determines where the guards will be), I can get the good RNG not only for the closets that have the red X, but also for the pile of boxes inside that contains the actual C4? To save a lot of time I mean.
(2) That sounds very interesting! I knew about (3) from old speedruns, but I've never seen such a fast shortcut! Does that mean that you jump from the balcony, straight down to the booth in the lobby? Like the red booth that you can see at 0:18 in the video (left side of the screen)?
(3) Definitely a big time save, indeed :p I remember this one from old speedruns, where they complete the heist even before Bile gets there because the escape pad appears so quickly.
I didn't cover many speedrunning aspects on this one (it's a long heist so I definitely tried to teach safety rather than speed :p) but it sounds very promising for some kind of speedrun video!
@@Marcmb Yeah number 2 is exactly as you say, just make sure you don't fall on the ground and go down lmao. Number 1 is also as you say. Silent saw is probably perfect for this map as well. The speedrun of this map is less than 10 minutes which is totally ridiculous lol~

@@Marcmb For sure, though I still don't do anywhere near as much stealth as I used to because of one failure on it. I was moving the loot from the chute to the vent, on my last pager and one of the last bags. The guard saw me (I didn't figure out the c4, that would've been very useful) and so I tried to intimidate him, but instead he instantly cuffed me. Being that close and failing cus the ai decided not to get intimidated was so frustrating xd.

As for the free cam recording, as Enio replied (very quickly btw, I was sleeping back then :p) it's a mod that introduces free cam. I generally used it only for the thumbnails, but this time I used it for the "guard distribution" part because I wanted to make it very visual, explaining the number of guards in each section while clearly showing how they are connected!

This heist is a nightmare untill u get an ide of the map layout. Most maps have an outside area or a big center area so u can get orientated abit. But this 1 only have very narrow rooms making navigation a giant pain if u dont already know the general layout.
Hey Shiftry! I agree with that completely. I've seen many new players struggling with the map layout, getting lost with the different entrances to the kitchen areas and how they are connected. The worst part is that the heist becomes very unforgiving once you start wasting pagers, so hopefully the video will be helpful for those new players! :)

Also, I don't remember right now, but I think you can dominate the guards to get rid of them without killing them, and that should still count to get the achievement I think!
Good luck learning the trip mine locations, after a few runs it just becomes kinda like muscle memory :)

You can buy the heist in normal difficulty, and do it loud while ignoring the weak cops... easy way to get the Pacifist achievement! But trying it repeatedly until you succeed in an actual stealth pacifist is more satisfying :)
I've done this heist on death sentence twice now (never solo though) and I figured out the C4 spawns and stuff like that by myself. This video was a lot more helpful though. Thanks marcmb!

@@Marcmb I have to say that's it's easier solo because of desync (on console :/) but I still lag quite a lot if I am the host, like how I just failed the heist because I got instantly detected by a civilian.
@@tpn0va941 I agree 100% that it's easier solo! Not only because of desync, but it's also easier to mess up with more people moving around...
Instant detection by civs sucks when it happens, that's why I bring pocket ECMs (good for emergencies) and I get rid of most civs that can often cause problems...

@@Marcmb I followed the trip mines placement, and I could reach the pyro booth. But the guard decided to enter te room very early, so I didn't have time to tie and hide the hostage. After that, I decided to try another day. But when I finally complete the heist, I'll let you know c:
@@gabmoita2198 Aww, that's very unlucky! That guard _very rarely_ enters the pyro booth, but when he does, he's more likely to do it the first time you enter, at the start of the objective...
If you want, you can hack the laptop "through the booth", without alerting the civilian, which will give you more time to react if the guard decides to walk in early! Good luck :)

All opinions are good opinions, and the original song in the heist is decent too! I really like how it sounds louder the closer you are to the concert -- being very quite if you're down in the basement. However, I'm a big fan of Viklund's music so I wanted to record the video with "I Will Give You My All" instead, which is a really cool song :p
And unfortunately the parking ticket achievement can only be done in loud, but I could have mentioned or shown the spot for that yeah!
This heist is pretty time consuming but it could be easy if your patient and wait for all the guards to pass by you. Anyways thanks for the vid it’s given me a lot of helpful tips:)
Hey Mrchains! It can indeed be a bit time-consuming, I agree. Some situations just force you to wait, to avoid run-killer risks. Luckily for most areas you can just run straight ahead, as long as you know where the guard for that area is located! Glad the video helped btw, good to hear :)
This one, Murky station and Border Crossing are my most hated stealth heists in game... playing them with random people is pain in the ***.... :/ Thanks for the videos tho! Very helpful even for those who have played the game for 1k+ hours!
Surprisingly, I agree with most of that! With so many heists in the game, it's a nice coincidence to see an opinion so similar to mine! Alesso Heist and Border Crossing are, in my opinion, the worst heists to play with a full crew... unfortunately they are just more reliable when played solo, and the fact that they are quite long can be a bit infuriating.

I would agree with Alesso and Border crossing, but I don't agree with Murky station. Murky station is a great heist to train stealth, and it is easy too! Not too many guards, many strategies to complete it.
@@cloaker2813 I also agree that Murky Station is a fun one! But in general I like all stealth heists, except maybe Jewelry Store and Nightclub because they are among the worst "waiting simulators" :p
@@Marcmb I agree with that, but I think the most waiting simulator is loud printing on Counterfeit.
@@cloaker2813 Yeah loud printing in Counterfeit is not efficient at all... the multiple points you need to defend during the water pumping, and then the electricity during the printing... it's just much more efficient to print in stealth :p
And that makes it a very efficient XP farm! Even faster than Cook Off, however you do need some company to not lose your mind :p

Hey Iosi! I agree 100%: very fun stealth, and more loot would be cool. Some variety in loot type (not all money) and path to secure (not the exact same path for all 18 bags) would make that part a bit more entertaining, although luckily it's not too boring in its current state :D
One thing I didn't see mentioned (unless I missed it) was one of the most unique things about the guards on this heist compared to all other stealth heists.
Their waypoints wait time is almost non-existent. This can trip up both new and experienced stealthers if they haven't encountered it before.
Hey TotalConScience! You are right, I didn't really mention that, but it's a really good point! I do believe that after some playthroughs most players will notice quite quickly, and I actually feel like it's better to have the guards constantly moving rather than idling for a while at their waypoints: it makes for more dynamic gameplay in my opinion :)
There are still some situations where a guard will stop for a while at his waypoint, but in general there are also many situations where they turn around right after reaching their waypoint. I'm not sure if it was intentionally programmed to be like this, or if there's an unintended part of the code for this heist that causes it to run like this.
As for why I didn't really mention it -- my suggested strategy has 14 trip mines placed in such a way that all the relevant guards will be marked almost constantly, except the 3 entrance guards (irrelevant), the one in the final kitchen (who stops being relevant very early in the heist), and the one at the bottom of the staircase (easiest one to avoid, and would waste too many trip mines to keep him marked with high uptime). Thus, when following this suggested strategy it doesn't really matter if they are idling at their waypoint, or moving to a new one, because with them being marked you have all the information you need to avoid them! And so the guards become very easy to avoid, regardless of what they are doing :) Like I said though, very good point, and it's very useful to keep that in mind to avoid any mistakes when you're moving very close to a guard and expecting him to stop for a while!
@@Marcmb don't get me wrong, I love the heist in stealth and this little quirk is part of that reason.
Funnily enough the one guard you don't have a trip mine (edit: bottom of stairs) for is the most dangerous because he turns around so quickly, specially when you first pick the door's lock. Thankfully they introduced the faster interaction AI skill, but I cut my teeth on this hiest when it first came out, before that was a thing. So any new player may not have the coins or the knowledge to set that skill.
Good work though, great video. Nothing's changed about the hiest in stealth and it's nice to see it get some love
@@TotalConScience Yeah it's a welcome aspect of this heist for sure :) Much better than guards sitting in place and forcing you to wait.
I wouldn't say he's very dangerous (especially because there's a lot of cover to straight up ignore him, and you're guaranteed to see him on your way to the door) but you are right that opening that door used to be very risky. I remember the good old days playing with a full crew and needing 20s to open that door. You essentially had to wait until you confirmed the guard was going upstairs before starting the interaction, or you would get caught for sure.
In fact, some of those memories are still with me to this day, and for that reason you can see that when I open the door at 7:00 I keep my camera on him because I expect him to come back very quickly :p but playing solo and with AI boosts, I like going fast rather than slowly waiting for the safest situations! :D
This is one of my favorites to play with friends, so have gotten quite familiar with it over the years, but never operated the TV in the basement while the guards were still alive so had no idea about that handy function. Thank you, watching your video delivered again.
Coincidentally, do you have any preferred ways of using the 4th pager? I tend to use the same three as you but still undecided on where I like to use the last one between shooting both Red Squares and Capitol Hilly Candy guards early to save time during the back-and-forth trips, shooting the guard at the bottom of the stairs since he's the one that tends to give the most nasty surprises, shooting the cameraman if he happens to have the middle room or just keeping it as insurance in case of screw-ups. What are your experiences on this?

The TV is indeed just a small detail that's usually not really necessary, especially when playing with a crew, so it makes sense that you never had a chance to try it out :p It can be very helpful if you quickly go there ahead of time, because then you can kill the two guards with zero risk, even though it's usually not that risky anyway!
As for the 4th pager, I usually always save it for possible mistakes. I'm very careful around the guard at the bottom of the stairs, so he's usually not a problem for me. However, mistakes can happen at any point in the heist, so I just use that extra pager if I make a mistake at any point, and I know that I'm fine since I had one to spare anyway :)
Sometimes I consider killing the security guard on my way up, if the basement cameras are in nasty positions and I'm not in the mood for spamming camera loop, but generally the cameras aren't that bad, and it's likely that the camera room won't even be in an accessible location anyway, so generally I don't even bother checking!

That first trip mine is one of my favorite strats too, because it's VERY easy to place at the beginning (after finding the two guards in casing mode) and it usually gives you a lot of information for free, when getting to the part where you have to cross that section.

Some double camera combinations can be extremely unlucky yup! It has never been much of an issue for me because I always use the Hacker perk deck, but with just camera loop it can sometimes be very painful...

That's a cool achievement yeah, _The Turtle Always Wins,_ for completing Art Gallery within 4 minutes wearing the heaviest armor (ICTV). I definitely recommend ECM rushing it, with at least 2 players to be safe! It can probably be done solo too, if you don't mind stealthily securing the first few paintings, then rushing for the final ones.
I am sure you already got it, but you can 'cheat' it if you want. It doesn't check for SECONDARY deployments. Meaning you can go in with a suit, and just equip the armor at the end.
Great video! I would appreciate it if there could be more tips on how to precisely line up and place the trip mines though, since sometimes missing a few units left or right would make that mine totally useless.

When I plan (and place) my trip mines, I try to always place them:
(A) At the very end of a flat surface.
(B) Roughly in the middle of a short surface, or below a noticeable asset.

Idk why people talk bad about this heist, imo I think it's a good stealth(not GGC or The Big Bank level) with cool music behind it. And not gonna lie I kinda wanna hear music when I play stealth

@@deadlybird1229 Indeed, 100% agree! Heists that can be stealthed with literally zero effort (Ukrainian Job, Bank Heist, Diamond Store...) are generally quite boring, and often just a waiting simulator!
They're still nice for _new_ players, so it's good to have them in the game, but at some point you stop playing them completely :p

I've got one for you, don't place trip mines in doors as when you mask up some doors shut and can blow up the trip mine... I'm not sure which doors but it just ruined my no kill run sigh.
Very very true... since there's a bunch of doors that must be open / closed right after you unmask, for the civilian escape phase, placing mines on any of those doors will result in an explosion when you unmask. Definitely avoid placing mines on such surfaces!!!

Hey Killian! I didn't usually use this trick to get "free pagers", because as you can see from my strategy, I generally only use 3 pagers in this heist... however, since this heist has an "un-masking" step very similar to The White House, I tested it out only because you brought it up on that video two weeks ago. And indeed, it worked very well! So I added it to the video :p
It does have to be different somehow however, because as you point out, for this heist it works even if the guard is dead and with a pager delayed -- he will despawn regardless. And in the opposite case, if they are alerted but not dead, they do not despawn. So it's very different for some reason!

ive done this heist so many times to get to infamy 25 since it gives 2 mil exp. also at 25:29 even if the pager goes off dont answer it and you will still be in stealth
Very nice! I had no idea you enjoyed this heist :p I never pick it for our public lobbies, because it's very easy to mess up when playing with a full lobby. Also, the fact that the objectives are very linear doesn't work too well for a full lobby... we can probably play it one of these days though, if you enjoy it so much! :p

@@Marcmb I couldn't look into the sharpening settings of my video and it is still a bit blurry, but it starts to blur on a much far distance or fast color changes.
@@cloaker2813 If it blurs for fast color changes, there's two common explanations:
(1) Bitrate. Any large amount of pixels rapidly changing will require recording at a higher bitrate to be able to store that information without artifacts. Try increasing the bitrate for your recording settings.
(2) Motion blur. Check the settings from your game (raw footage) and your editing software.
@@Marcmb Ok, I will try that tomorrow. But I think it's the bitrate from OBS Studio that is still on the perfect bitrate for a 1080p video.

Hey Pogchamp! Very simple answer actually: I do indeed interact four times faster than usual (especially noticeable on the doors) - it's an option you can enable from your inventory.
Basically, I have my BOTS equipped with the QUICK upgrade. Go to inventory, from there check "Crew Setup", and equip them with the "QUICK" boost. For every bot present in the lobby (up to 3), your interaction times get cut down by 25%.
My first time doing this heist was for the achievement of not killing anyone (for the secret ending) and holy hell did that make me HATE this heist. It's so fucking tedious.
Hey Handsome Longshanks! The playstyle when playing pacifist is definitely quite different yeah... especially being unable to get rid of the specific civilians that are often bothersome, also unable to kill the guards and civ in the basement... overall very different, even though luckily the trip mine placements still help quite a bit.
The easiest way to get that achievement is probably doing it loud on Normal difficulty, just running around doing the objectives while ignoring everyone :p

Absolutely! The best part about that is hearing Dallas interrupting himself as he says "This is it! This is the place! This is it!", always funny to hear :p
I generally don't like uploading runs that have too good RNG, but in this case I ended up checking all the closets in the building anyway, so as it didn't affect the end result I decided to keep it, otherwise I would've restarted and recorded a run with worse RNG :)
This heist isn't as hard as people think. I like to start from the bottom and work my way up for the c4 doors. If you can't succeed in stealth, you should question your life and why you continue to play this gem of a game.. Lol! cool guide for the brainless noobs.

However, with a bit of practice and planning, the heist becomes quite easy :)
Actually, I just noticed that you edited your original comment and wrote that you prefer starting from the bottom, and making your way up. Isn't that a bit counter-productive? You start at the bottom, go up while looking for the C4, and then go back down again when you find the last one. Isn't it objectively more efficient to start at the top?

Even though I consider the heist quite easy, I definitely wanted to make a complete guide, especially to provide some insight regarding the exact trip mine placements that I recommend, and to share some cool tricks like placing certain cutters without using a forklift :p

True, Agpiplup! Especially on Train Heist. Off the top of my head, that's the one that has the steepest cliffs, and you can very easily climb them (by just spamming jump) as if you were a goat :D

It's really simple Antonio! Watch the part at 1:06 a few times, and you will notice that the guards are almost STUCK in their respective sections. Really easy to avoid them!

One of my favorite heists. Was managed to do it without c4, but I think it's time to reconsider using c4, thanks. Maybe do a video about solo alesso achiev with no kills, if it's possible?

The Firestarter day 1 stealth guide has been requested a few times, but there are also other "actual stealth" heists that are requested often too, and I prefer starting with those because I feel like they will help more players, especially those getting used to stealth mechanics, and safe stealth approaches in general.
