There is nothing quite as bad as backing up a trailer that is short and doesn't show in your mirrors. Try a 3 foot long wood splitter. I swear they jack knife going forward they are so bad
Zac is amazing at a lot of things but definitely not at backing up a trailer 😂
He can back the semi pretty good
short trailers are super hard to back up because they're so sensitive anything larger is pretty easy to back up.
It's sooo much easer to launch a 60' houseboat vs a single jet ski lol. Those things jackknife in a second and are so hard to see.

Hardest rig I've ever backed up is our little aluminum boat with a similar sized trailer. The neck on it is slightly bent so it goes every way but straight when you back it up. This coming from somebody who had zero problems backing up a 30' bumper mounted travel trailer.
Those little trailers are the hardest, they turn SO fast. Way rather back my 53' walking floor, or 5th wheel camper than a 8' trailer, ide not be as bad as Zach tho😂

typical small trailer, squirrelly as can bae and hard or impossible to see in the mirrors. but boy he made it look horribly bad. 🤣🤣

Next time you go for the record make sure to lock the diffs or use a heavy Grease. It could have been the out of water wheel was spinning too fast and the in water wheel acting like a rudder.
Really good point here, that twist/lift really mucks with handling. Also...what was TSM set on? It should help compensate for some of that.
I thought it was a a broken CVD or maybe the Center diff messing up. But I just race RC dirt oval stuff so this is outta my wheelhouse.

@@H3110NU didn't even think about the center diff. It would be good (I think) to lock them all so you avoid ballooning the tires.
should also make sure TSM is off that will auto correct like a gyro in a rc drift car

His treatment was so effective the US gov spent huge amounts of money to try and shut down his practice (they make too much money from chemo and radiation, they can't have an actual cure exist), but people who were healed by him fought in the courts for him. It’s because he is use to pulling and backing large trailers and he has gotten comfortable with them. Little short trailers are a different animal when you don’t pull them often. I’m super surprised he was catching up with it 😂 he was doing to much wheeling it’s one of those less is more

Check the TSM in the XRT, that was probably why your steering was doing everything you didn't want it to. It's not as aggressive on the XMaxx. Great video MacFarlane Racing!
Wheelie bar is unnecessary on water and causes drag/ turbulence.
Also could have uneven shock pressure.

Cleetus, you have to change the oil in all three differentials. I would try 250,000W in center and front differentials and 100,000W in the rear diff for more stability. The video shows the front wheels expanding like drag slicks this meeans the center diff is sending most of the power forward due to the load of the rear paddle tires. Good luck next run.

I would go straight to 1,000,000wt in the center. The X-Maxx could well be better for water skipping, because it has a cush drive instead of a center diff.
At this point I feel like you're always hiding something from us...but we're totally OK with that!

Hey there Cleeter On the remote there should be a thing that says TSM control or something along the lines of that not the steering trim knob it would be the other knob to the right turn that puppy all the way down I think that is why your wheels where cranked right

The RC car has a differential I say right wheel has more water tension than the other causing to spin like crazy and left wheel slowed down there for causing the uncontrollable jerk to the left. You need a straight axle for the rear to keep it straight on the water
You have either lock the rear diff or swap out the diff fluid with heavier fluid to tighten it up, that will keep it straight
George’s reaction to the first sinking was pretty funny. I bet Zach got a chuckle from the trailer back up footage. “ well you don’t like my over correction, try this on for size.” The trailer is doing a wheelie out of the water backwards. Thanks so sharing Cleet. Nice boat bud.

Xmaxx was Diff'ing out! Try some 5 mil wt or 20 Mil wt diff fluid in the rear and center. Should track straight then. Also, maybe experiment with how much throttle it actually takes to stay on plane and turn your endpoint down on the throttle to match or slightly above - saving wasted energy and heat.

Also, what was likely happening with the XRT was the differential fluid was too thin, so it was giving excess power to the most unloaded diff

u probably have more power going to one of the wheels causing it to drive weird. probably a binding issue or something. put solid difs in front and back and should help go straight
