From eScooter to knee scooter or wheelchair. Excellent out of box transition to improve mobility. Get well soon and speedy recovery ✨🙏
As a person who had a similar injury back in 2013, on my right foot, I highly recommend a knee e-scooter or roller over a wheelchair for ActionKid because it is better for him if he can remain upright or in a standing position to keep the strength in his other foot and leg (@ least that is the way it was explained to me by my podiatrist @ that time).
I have a knee Rover and it’s an all terrain one, I love it!
Yes! Thank you! At least I’ll be able to have some more mobility over crutches.
Hey, AK! Thanks for the foot injury update. I can't wait to see you out and about making content again. All the best for a full recovery! Take care. 😊
You’re welcome, thanks for the support!
Those shower chairs are great. I am 71 and use one. I am happy to see you doing so well.
Yes they are!
I couldn't walk at all unassisted when I first found your channel. I just dragged myself along with my walker (messed up back discs.) So I just walked vicariously through you and through NYC, a place I've always wanted to visit. Thank you for that.
I can now get around a little bit better. I just have to keep up on PT exercises as much as possible and I'm trying to stick closer to a carnivore diet. (But I'm not disciplined enough to stick to it fully)
Anyhow, thank you for all you do. Keep up on working towards proper healing so you don't reinjure yourself. Have to be ready for 🎄 and New Year's 🎉 for us LoL
You’re welcome, so glad you found my channel to watch while recovering
Great update of your foot recovery 👍And it’s nice that you’re be able to have appliances and vehicles for moving that are much better option than the crutches😎Thank you for sharing this and i hope fast recovery A K🙂👍!!!
Fingers crossed!
So glad you were able to get home safely with your Father. Thanks for providing the update; hope you feel better everyday and get that much stronger. Take care, rest a bit, and best wishes for a good recovery🙏👍💕
Thank you so much!
Wonderful update of your foot recovery 👍And its alsl great that you are able have appliances and also vehicles, and more,. and also for moving as well, are way more better option than crutches to me.😎 Thank you for sharing, and i also hope the recovery fast!! 🙌 Thank you for sharing, AK!!!😃👍
Keep up the progress
That’s the plan!
Greetings from Toronto. So sorry you had this incident. You are always welcome back
Yes, I’ll definitely have to come back!
Am so happy to see you're doing much better. Healing is the goal right now.🎉❤
That’s right
Protein is very important my husband had spine surgery and the surgeon told us that for the bones. Sending prayers for a speedy recovery
Yes, it’s important!
A.K good luck with all your endevours...Here's to a speedy recovery🎉🌞🙂Take it slow Sir
Thank you, I will
Great to see that you are doing better AK. There is an acupuncture clinic in Long Island that I recommend trying if you want.
My friend is moving to Brooklyn (Crown Heights) next month. I'm glad you are doing better.
I follow that same PT. He has a lot of good exercises for what ails you. I use his videos mainly for strengthening and flexibility work. I'm 70 and am trying to stay out of the nursing home.
Hey AK glad to hear and see you are coming along, Yes Epsom Salts have been around more than 70 yrs that I know of and Have had the need to used them few times myself. I had an Uncle who had Polio and broke his hip and used Crutches to get around for long time. and I could not keep up with him when he went down the sidewalk as a 7 yr old I was running to keep up with him so "Practice" you'll get better !1..Take care AK and God speed. "Theis old man" ECF
Thanks for sharing!
You are becoming a disability expert and advocate. Those of us with elderly parents had to go through buying all this equipment starting with the walker. You can save all of your purchases to give to your parents or relatives. Am sure you will heal real soon and will barely use the wheelchair.
Just relax and enjoy some time off.
Hello AK ! Sending you get well wishes here. You’re strong and with PT will recuperate. Hang in there.
So happy to see you getting stronger, finding the right tools to help you cope and navigate. Gratitude to Sifat, Action Pops!
Thank you so much!
I was sorry to hear about your accident. Breaks are always hard. I fractured my knee a few years ago, and needed surgery. Couldn't bend my knee for 6 weeks, and my quad really deteriorated and is still not the same, even though I did a bunch of PT at home after I could exercise. I was on a walker for the 6 weeks of healing, and for a long time after. I had crutches, but as you said, they're not easy to use (especially when you can't put weight on the leg), and frankly I was scared to use them because I had PTSD from the fall when I broke my knee. My PT forced me to use them to get to one of appointments after a while. Had to progress from walker to 2 crutches, then to 1 crutch, then a cane. Hope your recovery goes well and quickly.
These AMA things are cool, bro. It's pleasant. I believe you can develop this aspect of your channel while you are recovering. I would enjoy listening to you speak about sundry things. How about deep recollections of your world travels. Talk about the change in air travel and how you had to deal with it. I want to know what other places in the world you will visit in the future.
It's good you're able to do these home streams and to keep us updated with your recovery progress. 👍 You have an amazing dad, and I'm glad you both had a safe drive back to NYC. 🙏Stay positive & strong physically and mentally. 💪 Keep up the good work, and thank you for this update stream, AK! 🤗
You’re welcome, I’m glad I was able to get back to NYC!
AK, when my husband broke his ankle he used it mainly indoors. He found it difficult to use outside. Sidewalks (bumpy etc) and stairs can be tricky. But you’re young and athletic, you’ll figure it out.
Thanks for update Ken and the beautiful views. Glad you're back in NY near family. God bless you young man! 🙏🏻 ❤
So. Sorry to hear what you are going through. I have a tendon issue and wearing the boot too. See the orthopedic weds. Praying you feel better. Can you check with your orthopedic about your calf.
Could be the tendon getting tight? ❤
Stay empowered and continue to have speedy healing !
I had 4 casts for 8’weeks and then the air cast boot for 7 weeks after. Take care
Merci pour avoir donne de tes nouvelles. Je te souhaite de guerrir vite et pour cela il faut suivre les indications des madecins. Amitie
Hi survivor, you look fantastic today compared to the day you walked a lot with Johnny. Thank God you are in NY with your family. Soon, you will be walking by New York like always.
You are young and a very strong man.
Love you ❤️
Idalmy from South Florida.
You're pushing through it, great ! Still putting out beautiful content too...Thanks !
When I tor3 my Achilles and was non weight bearing for 6 weeks I used a knee scooter. Was very good around the house. Good outside to if you don’t have steps
I wish you all the best. Cheers! 🙏✌️
Catch up on your reading etc and hope to see you in Salem MA Witch city in October ☘️🇺🇸
I'm not happy that n made it to New York. You have a long way to go. You're in my prayers. Get well soon! 😊 . From Elizabeth DeBoise.
Your calf muscle will not get weak in only a week and a half of none use - it takes longer than that and it will be back to strength in no time as you are young.
Lucky New York City is mostly disability friendly. You should look for the wheelchair access button as it helps opens doors. Unfortunately the subway is a hit or miss.
Don’t spend for a shower chair, seriously. Adapt what you have. A cheap simple plastic outdoor chair does the job just fine. A plastic stool adapt it for the shower. I switched out a shower curtain for doors with handles to save time. It’s about using what you have effectively.
Thanks for the update my friend! I'm replaying now. Success and speedy recovery to you. 🙏
Feel better AK.
Try magnesium capsules or magnesium oil spray it really helps I have the same problem four capsules a day will work... Good to see you in better spirits and happy you have good people supporting you 🎉
I hope and pray you get well very soon, God speed, heal quickly and Many Blessings your way
Good afternoon Action kid, I am glad that you don't have to go into surgery. Are you back home in Queens. God bless you!
i know i can trust you with youur foot , you have a loy of walking and runninig and climbing to do
All will work out, 😊 We are here for you❤ Did you get a wheelchair that you can move yourself? Epsom Salts is helpful. I used to bath in it as a dancer to help with muscle soreness. I took calcium magnesium, also. This is good for bones and muscles. Usually, the body doesn't respond to injury until days later.
Nice intro I love jazz music
Knee scooter is a big improvement over crutches. If you get tired, you can sit on it
Thanks for the update! You chose great options to try. Speedy recovery!
Hi AK! Try to find better cruts so called under elbow. It is much easier walk with them than those you have now.
I wish you a speed recovery 🤗🧩🧩🍓
Every time you travel, always get travel insurance, Always.
You need to pay someome to take care of you
Thanks!
Thank you for the support!
Thanks for this update and glad your family is helping you. I'm praying for you.
How about a walker? Maybe later.
Hi there AK I’m so grateful you’re doing well. I’m in a wheelchair full time and have used crutches as a child so if I can give you any help or suggestions don’t hesitate to reach out.
I broke my right foot twice, long time ago but as soon as you talked about the calf muscle pain I remember that, it is so awful!
What's up, missed the stream! But i will watch later
Hope you do not hate Toronto for this.
Great to see you Actionkid Hope you get well soon Greetings from Australia 🙂👍
Glad to see you in good spirit, I know your anxious to get going, we'll be here when your up to it.
Love from germany würburg ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Glad to see you are home with family. Praying for a speedy recovery! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾😂
Hi AK, you're brave and patient.
You're organizing your everyday life , clever !
I wish you the best and Quick recovery 🙂
Hello ActionKid. Thanks so much for this update. I’m wishing you a speedy recovery and all the very best to you. Once again, I’m sorry for your injury. Take Care. Lady Moonlight. Peace. 😇
Sorry to hear about your foot injury I’m in the same boat i just dislocated my shoulder and might need a chair for showering I have no mobility at all
I broke my foot and left wrist when i fell with the dog. Try doing all you are doing and now with a broken wrist also. Yucko! 😢 I was able to walk on my boot right away, so i was lucky for that. I have had nerver damage from my broken 5th metatarsal ever since i broke it and that has been a year and two months. I am praying you don't have nerve damage. I have burning pain all the time which keeps me from walking a lot. I pray for you every night that you will have no complications after your bone has healed.🙏🙏🙏
I’ve seen the knee crutch which is actually a modified peg leg but metal and plastic. It could work as you aren’t actually using real crutches. It’s going to act as your leg. You’re basically kneeling one knee on it but you are still standing. I’ve seen it being used as an alternative to traditional crutches.
So sorry
Eat bananas it will help that tension
Sorry to hear about your injury , Hope you get well soon, prayers 🙏🏻
lol 😅 14:59 - 15.11 , 35:19
Hello action kid soo I’m glad to see you ❤️
Take Care! Hope you mend well soon! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🫶🏾🫶🏾
Hi AK i am late to this live
Do u have a very low stool u could rest your foot while brushing your teeth
Yes Safit is a very good friend
Yes seeing your video with your dad. U are so very lucky to have this great father
Glad u r being extremely careful staying off your leg/foot
Yes AK i send support and prayers been with u a long time. Don’t comment much. ❤❤
Wrestlers wear a similar boot sometimes and they still work with it on. They do not listen and bear weight on it. But for some reason they actually recover quicker. Jacob Fatu took a foot injury at the big pay per view but returned to tv a week later sans boot. He wasn’t allowed to actually wrestle or do anything physical but he still stood around looking menacing as that’s his role as a sort of enforcer for his group. He was actually going to wrestle that week but protocol said not to and they were right. Jacob waited the week and after that he physically dominated as interference in a match which worked out well.
Keep your foot elevated as much as you can.
Action Dad to the rescue! Glad you have a village to support you during this time. Be well soon!
Where are you located now Queens 😊 ny Do You Now want to have walk in showers 🧼? Now you can eat NEw York style Pizza 🍕 Grab rails are a great thing😊
For your the rest of the leg, I do strongly suggest ActionKid that you get a bolt pillow as you are laying down to help relieve any pain by raising your leg especially while sleeping. I would also suggest some exercises with the bolt.
A combination of the wheelchair and the scooter may work well, but even with the knee scooter, it would be good to have a buddy walking with you. One physio appointment might be good to check out the calve pain, maybe taking magnesium would help with the cramps.
You may be able to get temporary grab bars that are held by very strong suction cups, but that depends on your bathroom.
@@mn9159 Never trust the suction cups: they fail regularly.
Get well soon AK, you're doing fine...keep going on some of the legs exercises and with your determination, you will get heal very soon..cheers up 🎉😂
With your wheelchair, it's a good opportunity to make a video on how to visit NYC for people with reduced mobility. Subway access, what is accessible etc.
I am praying for your speedy Recovery AK :)
I know that it’s (THANKFULLY!!) temporary, but seeing our ever-mobile AK sitting, injured has me in constant tears. 😢💔 Everyone: value your blessings! Not possessions… Sight, hearing, mobility, breath…LIFE!! Sincerest human-to-human, genuine, sincere LOVE to all reading this! This existence is SO very fragile! … That all said: Ken, you’re giving off some serious Professor X vibes in that chair! Lol! Love and cherish you SO! ❤️
The electric scooter is better and easier
AK I was just thinking maybe look into getting Canadian crutches. There also called forearm crutches. It will relieve your underarm pain. I used those during my child hood. I think you will also feel more stability with the design of the forearm crutches.
I had my knees replaced and went back to work after 4 months i feel it's good for my body
Good to see Ken back home. If you can’t wait to get fully healed lol how bout getting and e scooter with a seat on it. They’re better than a wheel chair or a knee scooter.
I wonder if a cane or walking stick would work in this case? The crutches look so cumbersome.
I'm really happy to hear your foot isn't hurting.
Hey, you should make a video of getting around in a wheelchair in NYC. It would really highlight the accessibility considerations that many of us do not think about. I think it would be interesting.
Hi AK! Get well soon!
For every dollar you dont give actionkid; i will donate to $1 to the humane society.
❓
If you think the crutches make you tied wait till you have to use those arms to move that wheel chair or those leg muscles to move around on the knee buggies thing good luck get well
Look into an electric small scooter like its very small just a seat handlebars and sort of a place to put your feet, might work better than the knee scooter.
Those Electric Scooters look so dangerous. Get well soon.
Go to the Lawyers. See if you have a case.
🦜AKen, all will go well, and perhaps we'll see your first live stream in time for 🎃 Halloween. You're missing the free week of all NJ Transit through 9/2. Next time! KEEP ON KEEPING ON!
I see a mobility scooter for 499 dollars there. Not cheap. You could do videos on that as it is motorized. But it would be redundant when your foot has recovered. Can you walk wearing the space boot without crutches ?
I don't think insurance coverage from the United States would be applicable in Canada.
