My favorite pie. With vanilla ice cream it's Heaven. Have to add a funny sidenote. Here in Tennessee, and I guess in Texas, we say pecan the way you and I do (puh-cahn). But I have friends in south Georgia who say "pea-can" (like tin can). They make fun of me for saying it like I'm speaking "in French." Anyhow, regardless of how you say it, it is awesome.
Love all your down home recipes. You're a cool guy and I love your good spirit. You're a good teacher for kids whose parents don't teach them how to cook. I think your videos are excellent. Thank you for taking the time to teach.

The pie turn out great on the top. But the crust is very hard and seems to be like hard candy. Did I par bake too long or poked the crust too many times? Seems like some ingredients seeped through the crust. I'm 🤔. But the top filling is wonderful. I'm trying again tomorrow

I made this recipe and it’s super yummy but the weird thing that happened was one one of my pies it looks like the pie crust that is supposed to be on the bottom ended up on top of the pie under the first layer of pecans. Idk what I did wrong. I haven’t tasted the other pie yet but it looks normal.

Love this! I reduce the sugar a bit because i use toffee pecans in mine. You are right, super easy and quick to make.

GG I always use regular pie crusts unless I want to make the filling a little thicker then I would use the deep dish! With or will work!
