Im really wanting to get started with this. I'm a nurse and it's stressful. I have started engraving as a hobby and love it. Now I want to try this, with the hope to just work part time and craft and sell part time. I'm so close to taking the jump
I had just convinced myself that I don't need to buy all this to start sublimation and then this video pops up. I want to start sublimation all over again now!!
Sallie, you're my hero! 🤗 I first found you last year when I was searching for videos on how to make framed wooden signs!! You were my best and favorite option with your video making the CREATE sign!! You gave me an awesome tutorial and my first sign was a success!! I kept telling my husband, Sallie says to do this and that!😄 I have done many more vinyl and wooden projects since, and been following you. When you started sublimation I wasn't dreaming of doing that because it was different from what I was doing at the time. But, I am telling you, you are my inspiration! I watched you do amazing with sublimation and the market is asking for it so I am on board now. I have been saving for that Epson 15000 and all other material. Your video is so timely...I am very close and this is super helpful!. You know I trust your suggestions so I am definitely using your list as my guide. You are always one step ahead Sallie!! I am trailing behind you so maybe the laser will be next??!! 😄😄 Lol....one thing at a time!! Thank you for what you share with us!❤
Hi, my question is, the size of paper… I’m not sure if I have to purchase a printer that’s going to fit the paper size or ?? I’m a beginner and I haven’t begun yet. I’m trying to get everything together and understand the process. And I want to mention You’re Great.
I’m wanting to start doing sublimation items but I don’t know where to start Would you do an online class of some sort or do you on another platform. What do I need to know to get started What is the best sublimation printer that’s pacifically for doing sublimation products that’s cost effective. Also going to purchase a cameo silhouette I’m not sure what to get which one do you suggest
Hi, my name is Julie. I am looking at buying either a Sawgrass SG500 or a Sawgrass SG1000. My budget would be much better if I went for the 500. My concern is the size only going up to 8.5 x 14. The 1000 will do 11x17 and a bypass tray goes up to 13x19. I think - not certain - but plan to focus on tee shirts. I watched your video of when you got the 500. Great videos. Considering I will be doing shirts mostly, do you think I would regret the smaller size printer or does it do good enough for that? thanks.
This all sounds great, and the upfront cost is relatively low. But my biggest concern is how to get customers to purchase these. This is what is holding me back.
Hi there, new small business owner here and help is needed…. How do you keep track of your spending, revenue, inventory, finances? Other than separating personal from business account, do you use some kind of app? Helppppp please
What are you suppose to go on for designing your own subliminal designs? 🥺 I’m a beginner in this I’m waiting for all my things to come in, I have been using a cricut for over 2 years and I’m so over the vinyl 😂
So do I need a silhouette machine to use their software? I have a cricut now but to use print then cut the box is very small and I can't do big designs. Trying to find a way around this
You totally don't have to use silhouette. I just have found its easiest, but some people print straight from their computers main print software. You can also use photoshop, etc.
I’m wanting to start and have some supplies but I’m stuck on pricing because I know self employment needs to put back about 30% for taxes which brings profit to only around $7 from what I’ve been able to find. Any tips?
Can you change the brand of sublimation ink in your printer to a different brand? If so, how do you do it? The reason I ask is I’m using a different brand than cosmos ink and I noticed how vibrant your stuff looks compared to what I’m producing.
Hi Sallie! OMG - this was awesome and so helpful ❤ Could you let me know how many shirts you would buy starting out and the quantities / sizes. Do you use a bulk wholesale shirt company or do you buy as you go? Thanks so much!! You encouragement video looking over your 5years really help me put thing in prospective and encouraged me to do what I love and to turn it into a business! ❤ Thank you!
thank you for doing this, you definitely mentioned some items i hadn't thought of needing or either keep forgetting about. i look forward to other videos.
Really great informational video. Thanks for doing this! I love that you get to the heart of the topic without a lot of fluff, but just good info. Quick question for you - you said you made a profit in your first month of doing sublimation - what kind of products/how did you decide what to do to get going? Thanks in advance for your time!
Actually ... I found your full channel and saw so many great videos to answer this question. So I think I'm set on that question, but any tips are helpful, because I feel like I have too many ideas and don't know where to focus (but that may be a me problem. ha)
Do you have a design software you recommend that would work with an Epson workforce 7310 series printer? That can do an array of sublimation from shirts to cups to everything in between?
I love my SG500 .The prints will be an exact copy of the image. The only thing is you need to clean the printer head before printing if you are not printing daily(not sure if its only for printer) . Changed cartridge twice for 570 copies ,each print cost almost a $1.definitely reasonable.Looking forward to your videos for more details.
Hi Sallie, I have a couple of questions. What printer do you use for stickers? How long can these printers sit unused? Do you have to run a bunch of cleaning cycles or have clogging issues? Do you have a video going over ink cost per average item made?
yes, I would like to know about this. Usually if the inkjets set around they get clogged. Do you remove the ink and set it aside to stop it inside the machine.
Hey Sallie!! Where do you get your shirts for sublimation? I’m just starting out and I love sublimation!! I’m having a hard time finding where to get the shirts. Your simply AMAZING!
I am looking for this cosmos ink but I cant see it anwyere. Where can I buy this ink from, or have you found another ink that is good that you can recommend us to? And thanks so much for all the informative videos you make. We humans always have something to learn, no matter how much we know.
This is cool, I just ran across your channel through related videos. I like how you discuss all the information people actually should know instead of dragging people along. Can wait to watch the tutorial side of things. 👍🏼 Do you recommend the eco tank or a dedicated sublimation printer? Any software you recommend for this? Thanks, I’m a new subscriber looking forward to get into some of these projects. I currently 3D print and design on solidworks as a hobby because of my engineering profession as of now.
I appreciate this video. I have been doing my research to start my business I just have been lost on where to start and what printer to buy. I do have a question though do all those sub-papers fit in your eco tank? I saw you had one that was 13x9 or something along those lines and was just wondering if that fits the printer? thank you for the video by the way!!
Hello! I'm trying to start a t-shirt business so your video was super helpful! I do have some questions though that I wondered if you'd have time to answer? And they may be stupid questions but I'm totally new here so bear with me. 1. You said the products must have a sublimation coating but you also said you can sublimate on stainless steel... Is there special stainless steel you should use or can any stainless steel take sublimation? 2. How do you know what you can use that isn't copyrighted? I know how to check copyrights on images but what about just words? Are those copyrighted as well? Ex: you see a t-shirt that says Glamping Queen - can you remake it using different fonts and not get in trouble? Thank you so much for your time!
I have a question about sublimating so I bought the eco-jet printer and I filled it with the ink that came with it I did just order some sublimation paper will I be able to use that paper and do sublimation with the ink that came with the printer because I already filled it with that ink 🤦🏼♀️
Could you please tell me which mug/tumbler press from Heat press nation. I can’t see a name, and their descriptions don’t show a 20 or 30 ounce?? Thank you so much!
Hi. I’m new to ur channel and love how you explain everything. I want to star with shirts but I have no idea what Epson Ecotank printer to get nor what programs to use 😫 I stopped working due to having a baby. I want to be able to spend more time at home with him so I want to start a small business. Any recommendations? ☺️
Hi Sallie I've been watching some of your videos, I am just getting into making tshirts and I think I want to get into sublimation. I'm wondering which printer would you recommend that can print in a large format? I've been thinking about getting the 15000 because it can print large and it's on the cheaper side. I would like to get the sg1000 but it's too expensive for me.
This video was soooo helpful. I just found you and subscribed. I am now going to watch some of your other videos. As a home crafter, I am toying with the idea of sublimation just for fun, but I like for my gifts to look professional. I have ideas that I cannot achieve with vinyl, DTV or printable transfer paper.
Thank you for this video was very helpful, information was excellent I am new to Sublimations and learning! Thank you so much for sharing, just Subscribed to your Channel hugs Liz 😊
Wow! This video is awesome! Covered so much. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Interested in your thoughts on the sawgrass sub printer, I’m thinking of getting one. Also, can you share what your size run on shirts you keep on hand? Thank you.
Hi Sally, I really enjoy your teachings. I have a question. I printed the design on the paper you recommended. Can I sublimate this printed picture on multiple tshirts, or should I use a separate printout for each tshirt. I will appreciate your reply.
You said you made all your money back that you spent in order to make sublimation products. Did you make your money back by selling on Etsy or another way? I’m definitely ready to invest because I want to sublimate tumblers and other items and sell them in my Etsy shop but I’m worried it’s gonna take forever to recoup the money I put out.
i dint understand how you can sublimte on bleached Ts that are not all cotton. The t shirt has to be cotton to bleach it and you cant sublimate on 100% cotton, so I am confused to how it works
Doesn’t that blue (or any color) have to be polyester? Also you didn’t mention that when using an oven, it should be for the cups only due to the gas it lets out and not to use food in it. Believe me, I’ve seen and read where newbies say, “well it wasn’t mentioned “ good points on the rest 👍
Im really wanting to get started with this.
I'm a nurse and it's stressful. I have started engraving as a hobby and love it. Now I want to try this, with the hope to just work part time and craft and sell part time. I'm so close to taking the jump

You are so kind and sweet to share the information you have with all of us thank you great video as always

Could you please do a video with what kind of programs/computers/software you use for your designs? Great video!🙏🏽💗💛
What program do you use to send designs to the printer., is depend at what kind of print do you have?
Sublimation and direction to film transfer are same mean for print to iron heat ?
Sallie, do I need the Epson printer and the Silhouette?
Does it matter which printer you use, if you intend to mug press. Pictures? If so, which is the best
I love your videos !! I was able to get a EPSON et-1500. This really helped me to choose a heat press as well ! Thank you !

Gimp design is good
So do I need a silhouette machine to use their software? I have a cricut now but to use print then cut the box is very small and I can't do big designs. Trying to find a way around this
You totally don't have to use silhouette. I just have found its easiest, but some people print straight from their computers main print software. You can also use photoshop, etc.
Can you do a review on the epson et 2400, i really want to get into sublimation but i don’t know what printer lets me make bigger sizes
Love this video sm! Very informative, I was wondering could I re use the same piece of butcher paper? So to cut down on the waste?
I’m wanting to start and have some supplies but I’m stuck on pricing because I know self employment needs to put back about 30% for taxes which brings profit to only around $7 from what I’ve been able to find. Any tips?

Hey lovely, bingeing your videos this week. Smart idea to buy fabric to practice on because I'd did not want to waste blanks. 😂
Hi.. thnx alot but u forgot to mention the tumbler sublimation machine brand...plzz mention...
Will other Epson Ecotank models work for sublimation?

I am pretty sure you can drain the ink and refill with sublimation ink, but I am not exactly sure how! I think i've read that people have done it.
Your tutorials are always so informative and very helpful!! Thank you 😘💕
I appreciate that so much! 🥰
Hi Sallie! I love how informative this video was. Would you be willing to do a video on product photos? More specific, flat lay product photos?
Yes I do have a few planned! 😊
@@SimplySallie Did you ever make the video?

I’ve been having a hard time getting lines out of my image. I have a Epson 2720 printer and use hippo ink
Print head clean, turn fast printing off, or run a purge page and that should help!
Wow! This video is awesome! Covered so much. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Interested in your thoughts on the sawgrass sub printer, I’m thinking of getting one. Also, can you share what your size run on shirts you keep on hand? Thank you.
Such an awesome video. Very complete and lots of resources too.
Thank you!
What about black shirts? Can you sublimate on black???
How often do you have to add more ink?
I can't find your etsy store.
Hi Sally, I really enjoy your teachings. I have a question. I printed the design on the paper you recommended. Can I sublimate this printed picture on multiple tshirts, or should I use a separate printout for each tshirt. I will appreciate your reply.
Separate print for each item
I am so glad I watched your video, you literally covered every question I had. You have earned a new follower.
Thank you for the video! It was very helpful. Where do you buy your shirts and where did you buy your mug press?
