Learn To Make Metal Prints: www.skool.com/... Order A Custom Print: www.printshedc... These are the things I have to share about sublimation printing on metal.
I was hoping for a video like this. I am 62 and kinda retireded, living in Northern Ontario and am looking into getting into this art form, all thanks to you ☺
RD, thank for sharing the whole process. You've got a nice little setup going on now, I'm sure you're pretty efficient when the camera is not rolling. The only things I would recommend, would be definitely look to get a template or jig for the frame, and maybe get your shipping setup a little different with putting the packing material on a dowel to pull it easier. Other than that, you're gold. Appreciate you being so open with the process. Here's to a successful 2024, brother!
Yes, definitely have lots of little things that need to be fixed and upgraded to be more efficient. They’ll get done over time. Thanks for the support!
When turning on a sublimation press, it is important to close it to allow the bottom plate to heat up. If the bottom plate is cold, the press will cool down and the sublimation process will not be performed properly. causing the sublimation process to take longer and the image to be less vibrant. This can lead to problems such as yellowing or burning of the paper which turns the highlight areas of the image yellow, as well as darker shadows in the image. Additionally, the longer press time will increase electricity consumption.
Dude, I’m not going to lie. This is the best video I’ve ever watched. I’m considering trying this out just for a hobby but I think I could really turn this into a side hustle. You really explained everything that I had questions about. You are Awesome!!! God bless you and your family!
glad you like it and I appreciate it. If you want to learn more I have an online community that goes really in depth on everything for making metal prints. Heres the link if you want to check it out www.skool.com/print-shed-2919/about
Although showing this video can cause an increase in competition in this neche but you still did appericiate it man. I thought that I wouldn't tell anybody if I know how to make these but now I sure will. You told me it's not all about competition. Thanks man.
I used to work for a guy that did this printing on metals. He got lazy and stopped doing as much. So I got everything I needed and started doing it myself (with a different name and branding of course). He threatened to sue me because I “signed an NDA.” I told him to give me a copy of that and any other paperwork like W4s or I-9s that I signed. He was paying me under the table so he stopped threatening me. This type of printing isn’t saturated enough to cause people to lose out on business. People are always taking new pictures and it’s better than canvas so there’s plenty of business to go around. I share all of my info with anyone that’s interested in starting a dye sub printing business. That’s why this channel is so great.
Make your own jig with a door skin...thin wood you will be able to cut through with a mat knife. Make each size you normally produce, and clear coat with water base poly for smooth operation. also get a framing square to align those jigs and the frame parts.
Very nice work. Just watched an older video. I do something similar on lexan for a transparent effect. Im liking the aluminum idea though to make "custom" fake street signs
Wow!!! Such a Great Video!!! Thank you for sharing all of your sublimation secrets!! Love your designs, work; and how clear, concise and detailed you are! May I make some "Mother" suggestions (advice 😂😂)? If the fumes are that strong, please, please consider opening your garage door enough to get some fresh air and ventilation in there. Also get a couple of box fans that you can sit on the floor in front of the slightly open door, to help remove/ minimize the fumes. I know you're younger but life goes fast! Even though I dont know you, I want you to stay healthy and enjoy a very long, happy, healthy and prosperous life. Just a concerned Mom! 😂 Wishing you much continued success!

Hello, I come from Vietnam. I'm very happy to watching your video. If possible, please let me know the name of the metal plate and the type of gold paper. Thank you very much.
If you’re referring to express shipping I can understand it being that high. The slow shipping that can take up to 30 business days is not nearly that high. However you’re probably paying freight opposed to standard shipping which will go up. You’re still paying entirely too much for shipping though. You’re being taken!
Can you help? 1) What is the maximum size you can press on your 24x32 heat press? Can the whole area of the press be used, or do you need to leave a few mm? How many mm should be left on the edges??? 2) Can I take 4 color printers, or will the picture not be as bright and juicy???
great vid thanks for sharing.....is that the best deal you can find for the blanks? or is it an issue with availabilty? just wodering if there are places in the US to purchase...i found a couple sources but did note some had no stock and i recall you mentioning having trouble with that
My first priority is the best quality I can find. Then it’s where I can get the best price where it’s always available. They’re never out of stock. I’m willing to pay there price until I find something better
I am looking to start the same business just wanted to ask if ur website is made through shopify how can you let the customers select a custom image also what software do you use to increase or decrease the colour brightness thanks love the vids
I'm a retired school teacher, and the Social Security is $1100 a month. I need a job I can do at home because my wife has Stage 4 lymphoma. I have to stay at home with her. The sublimation and street signs seem like great products I could do in my garage, so I'm close by. Do you think this would be a good business for me? I have some savings I can use for the sublimation, heat press, and roller machines, and I already own a 24" vinyl cutter. Opinions, thoughts, ideas? Can you do a video about how to market and sell these types of products? Whatever you can offer help or advice on, I appreciate it. Thanks
Great vid! Can you let us know where you bought your larger heat press? The one in your affiliate link is not the same size you used your your vid. Thanks man and keep it up!👍
I was locked onto a big electric heat press which was shocking the hell out of me when I pulled the bar down into the lock and I could not unlesah my grip. I could not talk and my bosses daughter was in the big room saw me and finally about 15 seconds grabbed a broom and bet the plug off the wall. I collapsed on the floor and just layed their conscious but could not explain the feeling even now. it took about 15 moinutes to really get up and be less weird. Hard to explain electrical shock.
