    The 2.7 has the same gas mileage as the 5.3 because that little ass motor has to work way harder to move the same weight that the 5.3 can move easily, why are we putting little car motors in big trucks lol

      As a disappointed 2.7 owner you are absolutely right

      Less emissions and no lifters that can fail.

      The 2.7 from ford does way better than the Chevy version

      GM has been monkeying around with the EPA rating. I have the same exact GMC Elevation as what is depicted in this video and my window sticker was 18/20/19 That being said having driven both before making my buying decision both the 2.7 and 5.3 beat the EPA ratings and do get similar fuel economy. It's worth stating that the 5.3 does have the advantage with being paired with the "better" 10 speed auto transmission. Also I think that you should go drive a 2.7T truck. That "little ass" motor isn't working way harder. As a matter of fact it maintains a lower engine rpm in use then the 5.3 V8 and it also downshifts much less in operation. It sucks the fuel because the turbo spools up and feeds the engine more air which requires more fuel to maintain the air/fuel ratio. Meanwhile the rpms are not increasing and the transmission is not downshifting. It's a very similar experience as to driving a diesel, just that it's gasoline so it's not as efficient. But by no means is the engine stressed or revving to redline or shifting like crazy.

      You hit it right on the head. It’s bad enough ram puts 6 cylinders in them. Why in the world would you want a turbo over naturally aspirated with no benefit whatsoever. Trucks are supposed to have a v8 PERIOD!

    Nice comparison! I've got a 23 RST Z71 with the 3.0L duramax. Absolutely love the driveability and fuel economy. The wheel liners and bed liner pack is a great addition. Absolutely love this new gen of trucks. Coming from a diehard ford guy my whole life 😂

      What was your OTD price for this? Was it new or used? Mileage?

    I’m not sure why gmc low balled the mpg. City is about 17 mpg but highway is 20-22. I know it’s not much but it’s a selling point. I love my gmc 2.7 but I got a lot of rebates on it and I’m not towing a lot.

    The only thing I don't like about the new GMC pickup is the hood the hood you wash the truck and water hangs up in that space on the front of the hood and then you're driving down the road and then they get that crap all over your window shield and all that don't make a hell of a lot of sense

    i have the 2,7 and bought it because there werent any v8s around. ive driven the v8, but the 2,7 is faster. In my 2,7 im getting 28mpg hwy and 22 in the city. It only burns gas when I put my foot in it, going super fast. The v8 sounds so much better though

    Joshua being honest for the first time I would have to say Chevy look and sound better than the GMC. That's not too easy to do considering GMC reputation considering they are the best . I am a Chevy owner of a High Country 6.2L but love the GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate. I thought about trading but I am giving Chevy the benefit of the doubt in the becoming years. Maybe I will trade in 2026 hopefully Chevy still can come out on top they need to or GMC here I come. Great review by the way keep up the good work.

    So why compare a z71 to a plain gm? Why not have the gm have the x31 package so your comparing apples to apples

    Concerning the fuel mileage the Chevy has a much more aerodynamic front end compared to the GMC. The Chevy 2.7 is a claimed 18city/21 highway/19combined.

    • @NotMe-z5i
      @NotMe-z5i 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah, but that front end is ugly af. If you are worried about fuel milage get the diesel.. or a bolt.

      me to, Some people put their foot to the floor and wonder why they get bad gas milage..lol I have gotten almost 29 mpg on the hwy at 67 mph. worse was 24 and that was because the wind was high.
