In this video I've try to see and show the evolution of Glock pistols throughout the years. First use of Glock pistols came with Glock-17 after the years come by and new models produced we began to see them in video games. Time stamps with game's name, year and which Glock pistol they have inspired on is at down below.

Glock wasn't in Postal 2 when it was released. It was backported from Eternal Damnation mod in modern Steam releases.

Fun fact: Duke’s pistol does not have any iron sights. If you look carefully though, you can see it has a laser sight mounted to it. This sight was usable in prototype versions of the game and would project a red laser dot as the crosshair.
The Glock in the video for Left 4 Dead 2 is from a mod; the game’s pistol is actually a P226, but when you dual wield the second pistol is a Glock 26 (not shown).

4:27 and once again, BF3 proved it's a masterpiece made far more ahead of its time. It even has the slightly different sound when you fire when ADS (more bright and clicky because being closer to your face)

The sound changing is actually unrealistic. The sounds are too quiet to notice, and when aiming, you never put the gun near your face. Actually shows that they didn’t do enough research.

Operation Flashpoint in 2001 had a Glock 18. IGI 2: Covert Strike had one as well for 2003. I don't mean to nitpick, but there are a lot more games that could have been used instead of just using one franchise.

Duke 3D was a hi-point, especially noticeable as its sprite when its on the ground.
to be honest you should've just used the dual wields in left 4 dead since what you essentially used was a mod
One thing I wish you did was do the tactical reloads as well for some of the games, and not just show them when their mag is empty. Not a bad video, but it is a good suggestions for the different kind of reloads for certain games for both empty and tac reloads.

@@FastfanderFor one the _Counter Strike Condition Zero_ model is actually a Glock 34 Gen3, not a 17. The easy way to tell is the top window-cut on the slide and the distinctive longer barrel.
I’m surprised you didn’t mention BLACK. Not only did it show the glock but the reload animation was pretty good too.

One thing developers almost always got wrong about them is how fuccing bulky they made them. It’s not hard to slim them down a little to normal size and not give them the recoil of a goddamn 12 gauge

I remember Black having a fully licensed Glock 17 in their game. Beautifully modeled.

In Left 4 Dead 2 Glock was only available when you took a second pistol. Default L4D2 pistol is P226

At that time Glock apparently acted up and trying to enforce their patents so that onwards the appearance of a Glock in video-games must be modified to not resemble the real thing.

Duke Nukem pistol closest resembles the glock 26. And I'm surprised you missed the "kowloon" glock 17 from 007 NightFire. One of the more iconic and closest models for an earlier game

Dying light 1 counts in my opinion because one of the pistols had the model but was named different and sounds different
It’s too bad they backtracked with the new MW2 & MW3. It was nice when they went with accurate models.
Don't forget the actual names of the guns in the older COD games. I think it might be WWII might be the last COD game to feature accurate names for all of the guns.
