That’s funny! I bought a Gen 4 in December from a pawn shop for $499. It was on consignment and “used”. I examined it inside and out and it was only fired twice at the factory 10 years ago according to the spent shells. Factory grease, and zero blemishes or wear. I was going to get a Gen 5 from them but they were selling them for almost $700! And I don’t like the looks of the front serrations on the new Glocks. I wish they were optional.

I bought the G21 13 round mags for mine. Very easy to carry 40 rounds of .45 acp. with chest rig. That handles most social situations that I encounter. These 30s have very little recoil when compared to other 45s I have tried. I like AK 47&74s & pump shotguns. I keep life simple.

I am a huge Glock fan and own several. All function flawlessly and are extremely reliable, yet very simple. My most recent addition to the family was a G30 adorned with the battle-worn flag design coating - at no extra charge from my source. It came with three magazines - all extended. I have very large hands, and this is the first "small" Glock I have purchased that fits into my hand perfectly. I will be adding the Glock Bold Sights offered by Amerigo as soon as they arrive. I am comfortable with standard Glock sights but the bold sights give my old eyes an advantage. I will most likely add the large beaver tale to the grip as you recommend to help with stability. My Olight Baldr S rail mounted light fits perfectly and the desert tan matches the coating nicely. I believe I have a new favorite pistol! Thanks for your videos and great information about many items I have invested in.

@@TREYSEV All things with firearms are subjective, that's fair. A stock Glock is 'good enough,' although I argue it's not good value for money, but replacing the stock sights with any good night sights is a minimum upgrade IMO. The stock trigger is serviceable, but it's mushy and kinda sorry for the price. I always advise people who aren't looking to tinker or upgrade parts on their gun to go with M&P 2.0s - they're just better in every way for the same price range.

Have one as my CC with integral laser. Bought it back in the mid 90s. Part of the reason I got it was there was a ban on hi-cap magazines at the time, so I decided to get as much power as possible for 10 rounds. Also, .45 has high stopping power with less penetration, which means you're less likely to shoot through your intended target which is important in urban settings. Have mags with standard ball if I encounter harder targets, but I keep it loaded with glazers.

I love the 30. And the 30S. And the 36. Heck, I just love .45. And yes, I have 10mm too, but nothing terribly concealable (if Glock comes up with a 10mm single stack, I'm gonna start selling body parts to get it). But the 30 was my first Glock, and I still have it and love it. I prefer carrying the slimmer 30S (It makes a surprising difference), but the thing has been uber reliable, tough, and so easy to shoot, and shoot accurately. Same with the 36. What I love is that all of the Glocks all shoot the same, feel the same, etc. I don't have to re-learn to shoot no matter what size or caliber.

**I know Mossad Ayoob had a group that cloverleafed and said it was one one of the most accurate 45s out of the box.
**I'm still waiting for them to mate the 30 slide with a long full size grip to hold the 13 round magazine with no slop or play like a magazine base plate or sleeve.
**But now I also want ambidextrous controls, not reversible, ambidextrous.
**To me this type in a horizontal shoulder holster would be the perfect concealed carry piece.
**Another one I'd like to see would be a P14 Para Ordnance grip made it to their short warthog slide with a steel reinforcement to keep the barrel from being pushed out of battery if muzzle contact strike is performed along with a SFS system from cylinder and slide. To me that would be the ultimate CQB pistol

The former.head of state and a local distributor here gave away several Glock 30s to soldiers as a means of privately protecting themselves. It meant that they would privately own the Glocks so all units have to go through proper licensing to each recipient. I really wanted one of those but I ended up getting a 1911.

Bought my first one (Gen 2.5) in 2000 or so. Traded into another Gen 2.5 (new old stock) a few years ago and bought a Gen 3 barely used 2 years ago. Love them. For whatever reason, I prefer the G-21 in SF rather than standard even though I've owned 21's in the full size. Where the G-30 is concerned, to me, the grip handle size is perfect in the standard configuration. To me and for me, the G-30 2.5/3's point perfectly and naturally. No bouncing around, very little adjusting and such. I bring it up and it just points. I like me some Glock's but that point-ability certainly hasn't been my story for say, the G-19 and I like the G-19. The G-30 was the first Glock I'd ever purchased. This was a little over halfway through the Klinton AWB so my rationale (and a lot of people's at the time) was 10+1 of the .45 in a gun that size is a win-win. Today, should a ban come back, (and I suspect it will after the Reshlublican's fall flat and hand over the Senate and the Supreme Court gets stacked) I'd be completely satisfied with a Glock 26 @10+1 but I do appreciate the G-30. It's probably my overall favorite.
    Thanks for the video.

I've installed them in a few of my family and friends Glocks. I have larger hands so, the Gen 3 G30 fits me perfectly well. They are very accurate pistols for their size.
