  • The Best Day Trip in Thailand | Kantchanaburi From Bangkok Road Trip #livelovethailand
You Must Visit Here in Thailand | Bangkok To Kantchanaburi Road Trip #livelovethailand
You Must Visit These Places in Thailand | Bangkok - Kantchanaburi Trip #livelovethailand
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Only two hours from Bangkok, Kanchanaburi is accessible by road or rail, the latter of which includes sightseeing day trips that run on weekends and public holidays. These weekend special trains are reasonably priced and make hassle-free and enjoyable adventures. Even the climate of Kanchanaburi, cooled by the altitude, forest, and Rivers, is a welcome respite from the heat and congestion of the nearby capital city.
Kanchanaburi city, located at the point where the Khwae Noi and Khwae Yai rivers meet and form the Mae Klong River, is a popular resort town. Picturesque and worthy of a visit in its own right, it is frequently visited as base of operations for exploring the many cultural, natural, and Historical attractions in the surrounding countryside. Located at the confluence of the Kwae Noi and Kwae Yai rivers, Kanchanaburi lies at the source of the Mae Klong River, and these majestic bodies of water are defining characteristics of the town.
The town itself is a place to relax, watching the water from the banks of the river, inside a raft house, or from a riverside Restaurant. Many visitors like to rest along the river with a cold drink and a good book. Many of them come here just for a couple of days but stay for weeks in Order to explore all of the attractions in the surrounding countryside. Along with visiting spectacular waterfalls, lush forest, and three of Thailand’s largest reservoirs, white water Rafting, elephant Trekking, and golfing are popular activities for visitors. Kanchanaburi is an excellent tourist Destination for nature lovers.
recommended places to visit in Kanchanaburi are Srinakharin Dam, Vajiralongkorn Dam, Sai Yok Noi Waterfall, Sai Yok Yai Waterfall, Erawan Waterfall, Mon Bridge, Mueang Sing Historical Park, Three Pagodas Pass, Wat Wang Wiwekaram, Underwater City, the Bridge of the River Kwae, Kanchanaburi War Cemetery, and World War II museum and Art Gallery.

The memory I have of Kantchanburi, was the allied war cemetery, the first headstone I looked at , turned out to be my cousin who died in 1943

Great video these places are all favourites of mine, I have been so many times.
There are some nice restaurants near the bridge worth checking out. Also if you like to have a drink there are some good bars on Maenamkwai Rd on the way from the bridge to the war cemetery.
The tree is looking great at the moment, stay safe.

One day trip too short 😉. Two days is better, you can make a round-trip train all along the line until the end at Nam Tok station in one day, with nice waterfalls not to far, next day at Kanchanaburi visit of museums, and why not a third day for relaxing moments and walk along the train line, Kwai and Mae Klong rivers. You will have plenty of souvenirs. 🙏🇹🇭

That was an amazing video. I love going to Kanchanaburi, it's so peaceful and full of history and beauty. I have it on my radar to return next year, I just wanted to assure the Thailand Railroad is running both trains, I wanted to try that method to get there. I've done the mini vans and buses, but I like adventure. My favorite place to stay is Pong Phen's Guest House along Bangladesh Road. It fronts the river and is am easy walk tp to famous bridge, To all the viewers, this is a must see in Thailand.

Thank you for sharing such a wonderfull video. I am so impressed and always feel totaly relaxed with your videos!
In fact planning to visit Thailand (Bangkok and Pattaya) in May 2022. Do you recommend to do so? Are the shopping malls, local markets, street food trucks and wagons as well as the fast foods? Is there time/hours limitation restricted by the governmemt to move arround at day and night?
    Kindly update and advice!!
    Warm regards

the bridge is a later one. parts of the war bridge is seen in the museum. AND your facts should be correct. prisoners from Britain Holland Australia New Zealand India and different states in Asia ( which amounted to most deaths ) you could have visited the war museum to have an authentic history.

  • @Seventh-day
    @Seventh-day 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Apparently that is not the original bridge. That was a wooden bridge built somewhere nearby. The prisoners who built the bridge would not have been able to build a metal bridge.
