  • In this Thailand Travel guide I show you the three best ways to travel to Kanchanaburi in Central Thailand. I discuss the train, buses and private transport, and I include the prices travel times, and the advantages and disadvantages of each method. It is best to travel to Kanchabueri from Bangkok so i will only be discussing transport from Bangkok.
In the video I also discuss the importance of the "death Railway" and its WW2 history.

It's been ages since I commented- been hovering regularly though 🤣. Formerly OmaFarAway. I am a train girl by heart..... so the train got me. The story attached to the railway is very tragic. This happened in so many places unfortunately. So sad. Your travel advice is very clear and certainly thorough. Good content. Happy and safe travels. Greetings from New Zealand. 👌😎🙋‍♀🇳🇿

No worries, and I know which channel it is! This is definitely a very tragic part of history, if you like to read you should check out “the narrow road to the deep north“ by Richard Flanagan. It's a very sad but engaging story

My wife and I went by bus back in 2016. We didn't know, but the bus that we took had assigned seating. It also had a toilet in the back... And it stank to high heavens! We basically had to endure a 3 hour drive in the stench and with the AC not working very well. My preference this time is to drive a rental car from DMK airport. Getting out of hangout will be an adventure, but i think it's a small price to pay for the freedom, for AC, and NO STENCH.

So when you take the train to Kanchanaburi from BKK, (about 2.5 hrs), is it easy to plan excursions from your hotel ? We would like to visit erawan falls, hellfire pass...

@@BangkokJack858 its not like phuket, that you go in the streets and see vendors with all the excursions?

@@EsssOhDee depends where you stay. In the town there might be. It's. Alit less touristy than Phuket. Send me an email at info@jj-adventures.online or through my website in the description box. I can help you get a tour booked.
