Burst of speed, Size Matters Not, & Size Matters Sometimes are great ways to get Yoda in a lot quicker. Yoda was a high skill cap unit that is now a lower skill cap, but is still very viable especially since he can attack twice with Ataru. If primaries weren’t just capture the hill style and had more strategy then get here and kill things, Yoda would be seen in a much better light
mikes comments about yoda being hot garbage is pure comedy. his command cards are still insanely good! I couldn't agree more with Evan Paul, they're clearing up the rules they inherited. Scout still enables agile and tactical, and anytime you move now regardless of a (Move) or (Move ACTION),! Much clearer rules shift AMG is making by limiting (CHARGE, RELENTLESS & STEADY) to be in your activation.
When he says hot garbage he means for its points. And I agree with them that amg barely seem to have realized how the change affect other units like palp. And it would be resolut simple to change free move to another word and everything is good.
I think the points about Recon Intel are important. Just because something is taken a lot, doesn't really mean its overpowered. Maybe it was just kind of nessecary for a lot of those units. As you point out, this is a buff to all units that natively have scout, most of which were already very good. This will make the game less lethal, as it will take an extra activation in many cases for those n units previously took Recon to get in range. But I think the designers might be underrating how much one more movement 1 movement is going troop units with move 2 or less get across the board and can actually contest an objective on the other half of the board, before the game is essentially over anyway. Not sure this was a needed change.
I really hate the recon change. I’m playing snowtroopers, with speed 1 they are currently almost unplayable, now they get an indirect nerf. You have to have scout on them..
I suspect that big black dice pools are still good and this points change means GAR goes from really able to really overkill and wipe enemy units clean off the table, to just plain old regular overkill and able to wipe units clean off the table. Like Evan said...change from ridiculous to just extremely good. How about this...give the other factions some sort of equivalent to Complete the Mission tokens. Rebel comms jammer beacons with a range one bubble, or Imperial probe droids, or Proximity detectors, etc. that have some effect on units within that range. Or, to simplify an already complex game, take away the CtM tokens and literally bring the playing field closer to level again.
I sometimes feel that the cost could be increased for some cards the more you tsar it. So the first scout is 5 the next is 8 and the next is 11pts. So you can take it but there a decision limit.😊
I think personally they could done the change with recon intel like the upgrade situational awareness; where the difference would be if the unit doesn't have keyword scout then the upgrade costs 5 and with scout x it cost 8 points.
Is scout "required"? I think the intent for deployment keywords, including scout, is that you can have some units that are better at early scoring and making early attacks but the majority of your units should have to double move onto the board making turn 1 the only real "set up turn". The real issue here is that there are battle forces that circumvent this by letting you take an enormous amount of scout units.
On the Yoda conversation he was one of the most competitive skew unit in the game. It felt rewarding to play him and get better with him. I do not need to go into the new changes. Mike covered it well. But a few more changes that butchered Yoda was obviously no more objective skew Yoda. You cannot play chewie two pip turn one. And the big thing for me is guidance was standby force push. There are just so many things they gutted with Yoda it is so sad to see:(
Luke couldn't move Bad batch anyway since they werent a non operative unit so that ones a wash but the standbu nerf really is awful for all force users! Totally agree. Wording should have been "outside their activation or a standby action"
Problem with relentless etc changes is that thr game is trying to balance points without considering synergy. Alone palpatine is worth a points value, and alone vader is worth another. Together they are probably worth mpre than thr sum of the individual costs. Not sure how to overcome this unless points are given fot com inations of units. Otherwise we have mechanics that are fun andd challenging removed from the game.
I don’t like how they nerf everything in the game to nerf one unit. Just make Yoda cost more points if he’s really good. They have done this so many times. It feels like they don’t really understand the games themselves.
The moment someone from AMG states that competitive players will try to BREAK the game, the moment you realize that they are not competitive players themselves and then they do not understand what is competitive and that they do not want that. I cannot understand what is wrong if some list just works? Why can't some list just work? Because eveyone will play it? Then make more list that work, not destroy any cool and nice shenaningans... in 1-2 years we'll play chess and that's it: each unit moves and shoots and scores and done. Wow, cool game!
I felt that, I like the approach of instead of taking the hypothetical "gun" from one faction, give all the factions access to the "gun" no matter what form it takes. That way, people can at least play the lists they want while having some edge in competition
@@treycko1377 I get the sentiment but it doesn't work, making everyone overturned and unbalanced just makes the game too swingy and volatile, you get an ever increasing arms race. Some combinations of abilities leads to bad play experience and are better off getting removed.
@EggmovieX So you would prefer that all the factions find some way to hobble forward till the next big release? The game is always going to have something that is more busted than the rest, that's power creep for you. And I like most of the changes that happened, but I would prefer an approach that focused on uplifting units that are underperforming vs. one that looks to tear down the best units. In this case, I would say that points increases were absolutely needed and I hope that future changes continue to make the units we already have more competitively viable.
My concer about the republic changes is that many good players will move to another faction and we wont get the same wuality of data to knownif this was really the answer. I dont get how tempted wasn't touched, make it once per round or something and then Anakin is probably fine where he is.
Here to start the petition, roll back the steady/charge/relentless change and find a different fix to Bad Batch/Yoda. (If thats even necessary, i dont personally think so)

recon intel increase is a silent buff to CIS i think with us having basically no access to scout currently

move action = move action. Move = Advanced 1 keyword. Use a synonym.

Oh thats my list the 4 magans and 4 b2s :) was a fantastic event. iam happy with the pk change the list now runs 2 and 2 vipers so a bit more honest.

I’m glad I moved on to Conquest the Last Argument of Kings. Para-Bellum keeps making that game better and better.
There are some that use Viper Droids in B2 squads, cheap and have red saves lol
I think personally they could done the change with recon intel like the upgrade situational awareness; where the difference would be if the unit doesn't have keyword scout then the upgrade costs 5 and with scout x it cost 8 points.
22:08 bad batch is an operative and not a valid target for you serve your master well.

It’s funny line you say one cast X is useless! And then 3pkt change happens and you are like X is great now! 😂

@shaunkrogulski9619 The only change is the 15pt increase, it was already once per round.
@treycko1377 Oh my mistake I was under the impression it was once per turn/activation, thank you!!
@shaunkrogulski9619 Of course! Not saying the 15pts is enough, but ya know, we will take it
That’s a huge improvement. I kinda lost interest because all they did was nerf stuff for years, and they never fixed units that were weak.
Here to start the petition, roll back the steady/charge/relentless change and find a different fix to Bad Batch/Yoda. (If thats even necessary, i dont personally think so)
Could have just had it apply to "We're not regs". But that would make sense...
This rule change could be more important after unit changes
@majkolenttg5980 God I hope so, but I so doubt it
