- Just discovered this when I disconnected my battery. I was worried when I saw every light go off. It’s not a good feeling. Then realized you have to drive for a mile then shut the car off and restart to clear the system. Hoping this helps someone before they head to the dealer like I was about to do.

i was getting worried cus i just drove to work after replacing my battery, bout 15-20 miles and the dash is still lit i guess i’ll wait it out a little longer
Sometimes you have to drive for awhile, turn the car off and once you start again they will clear.

Very useful, thank you! I got the same doomsday error messages flashing when I first started the car after coming back from vacation. After watching your video, I drove it for about 4 miles, stopped and restarted the car but the same errors came up. Then I drove the last mile home, where I turned the car off. I started it again, just on a whim, and everything had reset, no error messages. Woohoo!

Same!!!! I went and got an oil change left there all my lights came on. I went back to them because WHAT! I’ve never had this problem before needless to say they was like that’s not on us you need to go to the dealership I was freaking out found this video while sitting in a café got back in my car after an hour being in there and once I started my car all my lights were off.
Here is probably the biggest tip of all.... when these random messages flash on the dash for no reason, it's also a sign that your battery is dying out believe it or not.
Even for a 2 year old car with 13K miles?
@@teeoh9192 Yes. My wife car did it at barely 20,000 miles. It's not always true but a lot of times it is.

@@mauriciowinston5293 The "hack" that everyone has been trying & says works, ACTUALLY worked! After I got home, I ate & went to sleep. Hours later, I headed to work & the warning lights were still on. Halfway through my 25 mile, 45 minute commute, they turned off & haven't lit up since. My car's driving ability was never affected. But, thanks to YOUR advice, I'm still gonna get a battery tester, cuz I should have one anyway.

Thanks for the information. I have a 2017 Civic Si and the battery finally died. After replacing the battery I had every error code the car possessed. This resolved it.
Thank you so much for posting your video/information. It helped our 2017 Accord hybrid. The battery died due to 3 months of not driving. We jump started the car and it drove fine for about 30 minutes. After parking the car for about 5 hours we start up the car and got a bunch of errors. Drove it home and the LKAS and the brake warning error lights stay on. Parked the car and did some research and found your video describing similar symptoms. Start up the car and run for about 1/2 mile and while running the errors went away. Stopped the car and turn off the ignition. Waited about 30 seconds, restarted the car and the error codes/messages are not showing up anymore. Was worrying have to take the car into the dealership ($$$). But your video save our day/$$$!!!THANK YOU!

Thank you so much you saved me hundreds, I wash the kN air filter and forgot to reconnect the mass air sensor back, the car got crazy many lights error codes came up, after reconnect the sensor still there, I just found your video did exactly what you said and not even had to stop and restart, all the codes desapear..😃

I tried dismissing the messages (anti braking system, variable speed, etc) and it finally started. Now it won't start at all. suggestions? should i disconnect the battery? how do i do that? thanks
Hi. I would definitely disconnect the battery for 30 minutes. See if that helps. If it still won’t allow you to start the car the battery might be bad. You can easily get the battery checked to see its condition

Hey Chris, I just took my 2021 Accord Touring to dealership. They ran the diagnostic for $160 and now they say they have to replace the passenger seat for $3000. How did you fix yours. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks
@fbhaze7446 were you able to fix the issue? I went to my Honda dealership same thing after diagnostic test they asked me to change fuel pipe!! I asked them how can lane assist or adas or Acc features can be affected with fuel pipe? I told them it has to be something electrical like fuse or wire that are responsible to check all the sensors. Just let me know if you find the fix so atleast I have more information and save myself from these dealerships who charge way too much for things that are not even necessary
I didn’t disconnect the battery but I tried to start it too soon after turning it off and it freaked out on me. I noticed that everything you explained happened. I was totally going to break up with my car after those 8 different codes went off! I was thinking Honda gave me a lemon 🍋

This makes no sense at all to me. I had almost every warning on my dash you could have on a 2019 Honda Accord. Sometimes they would stay on days. I changed the battery in my key fob and they all went away. I don’t understand but it fixed mine
I've notice all newer hondas do this crap when they lose power for whatever reason. Either errors or system is initializing message. Driving around does fix em like you said.

Another thank you! My son has a 2021 Accord, barely a year old. It had a bunch of error messages appear on the dash a few months ago. Figured it was just a bad module or similar so took it to the dealer to have it presumably repaired under warranty. Sadly, rodents had gotten under the hood and chewed through three wires, which caused all the error messages. $300 later, the dealer had repaired the wires and all was good. Fast forward to a few days ago, the same messages appeared and yes, rodents had chewed through the same wires. I'm capable of repairing severed wires, so I fixed them myself but was sad to see the error codes still there, argh. After following the procedure in this video all is good again. Thanks again!

@@eoghanjordan5233 Hi. The wires that rats seem to like on my son's Accord are on top of the engine. When you're looking at the engine from the front of the car, the wires are immediately to the right of the spark plugs. They go into a vertical connector that is on top of the engine. There are three wires: black, white with blue stripe, and green. If you're having rodent problems Honda makes an rodent-resistant tape (costs $50) but I'm going to use that after this repair. Good luck!

Thanks for the video. I actually encountered that with my honda civic 2016 when i was installing my aftermarket fog lights. It shows all the error codes like what you are talking about. So yes i drove to get something to eat then when i went back to start my car all the errors codes reset itself. Cool video though...

this video just helped me out tons I was literally about to go to Honda and go crazy on them. I think I left a light on or something in my car and I had to jump it off And when I put it in drive everything started flashing I literally freaked out. Thanks my guy 🤦🏾♂️
I also had that happen after trying to hook up my svcm tuner, but I hear that sometimes it needs 10+ cycles for it to clear. What are your thoughts on pulling the ECU fuse, I hear wait 15 minutes then place the fuse back?

This happened to me also when the battery on my 2018 accord died and had it replaced. I was about to make an appointment in the dealer but when I drove for a mile or 2 the error codes doesn’t show anymore.
My moms 2019 accord sport doesn’t seem to start up quick right away the brake pedal will be engaged and the key inside the car however takes a while to crank over and start any ideas?

I had the same problem .one morning i started my car then all this warning lights came on and I was worried and thought that my 2018 was broken so what I did I just drove it stop and star t again for like 3 times then all of a sudden it just cleared all the warming lights.thank you so very much for your video it really helped me a lot.

Hello All. I've had this problem twice. The first time, after about 2 years of ownership, it was because of the battery. Replaced battery and drove about a mile. This made all the lights go away. About a month ago (2 Years later), I started having the same issue. I purchased another battery and drove around for about a mile and it went away. However, the lights all came back on while driving on the freeway. I tried clearing by disconnecting battery overnight. But the lights would come back on shortly after driving again. I finally gave in and took to my local trusted mechanic. He hooked up scanner and it coughed up a P0299. My car is a daily, 95% highway miles driver. I purchased the car brand new (2 mi) and put 146,000 miles on it since then. Had the Turbo replaced (i was skeptical) about 2 weeks ago per my mechanics diag/troubleshoot. Rides super smooth now and no more lights. I would suggest doing a scan if Honda Jons method doesn't work. I'm glad I got it looked at. There could have been more damage had I not gotten it fixed. Hope this helps some folks. NOTE: when in this mode all the features do not work, ACC, lane keeping assist, cruise control, etc.

Mine just did this today at 32k miles. I was so mad. The Honda dealership said I needed a new battery but Honda covers your battery up to 36k miles. That’s their warranty.

Thank you very much that was helpful it happened to me too i unplugged the battery for afew hours because I was busy then i put the battery back and i started the engine about one or two minutes later all the codes disappeared before even i drove the car.

My 2019 Accord did this today. Same codes and all ... But I’ve never popped the hood for anything. Battery still in tact. I’ll try driving for a while and then restart. Hopefully that works. Thanks for the tip mann

@@HondaJon unfortunately it didn’t work. It’s so weird because I received a text (“Hey man how’s everything. We have a few Accord sports if you’re interested in trading.”) from the guy who sold me the car, hours before I got the codes.

@@HondaJon yes! Codes still appear. The car still runs but without all the safety sense features. I’m noticing (at times) a quick drop in power on downshifts. Almost like the car wants to kill.

I got a collision from back last night it was a minor collision nothing on the car but these warnings starts appearing and is unable to solve this issue. Is I have to see a dealer or how can I sort the issue out.

Thanks for this video. This happened to me, but without ever disconnecting my battery. I drove about 15 miles to a location, and when I started my 2019 Accord, after about 45 minutes, all of the alerts went off, just like he described. I turned my car off briefly and started it again, still there. I drove further and dismissed the warnings, then shut my car off to watch this video. When I started it again, the warnings did not come back. The alert log did show when they went off.
Hopefully, I'll have the same luck. Was sitting in my 2020 Accord at work (I do security) listening to the stereo (car running) & after a few hours, 4 lights came on: low battery in remote start, ACC, Lane change, and collision mitigation. When I get off, I'm gonna try the "drive a mile, turn off" trick. I bought my car used, Honda certified Christmas Eve, & have had no other problem. Car rides & drives like a dream!
worked on 2020 civic gracias. friendly tip, you can try and drive it less than a mile away. I drove about 3 blocks. shut it off and the system rebooted or wtvah

Also check your battery terminals. My negative terminal was barely loose and all of these things kicked on. I tightened it, drove 5 miles and the car calibrated itself.
Edit: I drove 5 miles, turned the car off for 5 minutes, then when I restarted it, everything was back to normal.

I didn't disconnect my battery. But when I came outside to try and open my trunk with the keyfob it didn't work. Then I tried the trunk button in the car. Didnt work. Then I turned the car on. Got all these lights and they won't go away! Drove over a mile to work! Still didn't go away! Oh yea back up cam didn't work either. It just happened very randomly. What do I do about that?
Gave me a loaner car. Said oil pressure gauge was bad! Won’t be in till tomorow!
The icon lights also go crazy when the batteries go low charge. I was parked, stopped, car off and my lights were on for a little while. Warning icons came on and freaked me out.

I had sorta the same deal today. I was listening to my stereo (engine off) using the "Accessories" function and the EPS (Electronic Power Steering) Icon came on. That also freaked me out until I started the car and the Icon went away.
Happened to us recently after a storm. We came to this because we're trying to figure out what happened!
