The idea that they make sounds comparable to coins clinking reminds me of the Australian crested dove. Whenever it gets startled, it flies away in such a way that it leaves a distinct "fluttering" noise to warn the others.
HUGE respect for this interesting world building journey you are going through, your art style fits story telling very well keep it up!

Wonderful little creatures. I love their jingling-coin communication sound. My brain REALLY wants a "heads" and "tails" to be variants or a modal shift, lol.
Having magical magpies guard your treasure is a fun concept.

From the thumbnail I thought the "faces" of these birds were like seals to stamp the wax!
Love the art and the lore, that's some gorgeous worldbuilding!
I love them they are really cute, they kinda look like pigeons or doves. It would be sweet if there were more different kinds of birds like eagle shaped or parrot so they are built for specific tasks. Maybe not always coins but treasure in general like a mirror for a face that would go blind if shattered. Or a huge stork but instead of a beak large golden scissors. Treasure birds is such a cool idea and I’m really excited to see what you do next!

They are really beautiful with all the gold! And they are so adorable!! This is the first video I’ve seen by you so I don’t know most of the lore for this place but it seems worth the trip just to interact with and try and befriend the strange birds!! (Also this place is giving me Won Shi Tong’s spirt Library vibes which I am NOT mad about! That place is so cool! I love other worldly mysterious places like that! Absolute bonus with cool creatures lol!)

This is the first video I've seen of you and I must say - I am intrigued! The concept and design of these creatures is so imaginative it got me to click, and the glimpses of all the other parts if your world rise to the same standard! Your art style is also really nice - it's clean, despite the sketchy nature of a lot of the art here, bit retains that magical, fantastical feeling so well!

Also, I love the slightly messy yet super detailed concept drawings; they feel right out of one of those art concept books for video games and the likes! I absolutely love this! I've never been good at making mythical creatures, well, at all, but even if I was, it doesn't take away from the spectacle of these beings. The only thing that I feel like can be changed or improved is the sound they make, I feel like they would make a high and or low ringing sounds in the pattern of basic bird chirps and calls (I say and or because I think that the sound could be made by a single bird at the same time, layered atop one another... that or it can go from low to high and high to low and everything between depending on what they are feeling or saying). I just feel like a creature of such a kind should make an equally unworldly sound. Aside from my own personal preference on that part, I do feel like this is incredible!

It's a massive spooky emu fella (biggest one is 50 meters tall) with a clock for a head hehe
