  • In this introductory video, I go over the basics of Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, or C-PTSD. How repeated prolonged trauma affects people's lives. What some of the symptoms are, the stages of recovery, and steps a person can take if they identify with the diagnosis.

I very VERY rarely get sucked in and continue watching videos, my attention span is very short. But I don't know what it is about you, I'm moving on to your 3rd video after I comment here. I feel so calm and safe. I'm able to learn about scary things at the same time but not feeling afraid or confused. You explain it so well too. And it felt like I was listening to you as if you know these things because you experienced them and I trust someone more when I know that they really DO understand me. Thank you so much for taking the time to share these videos with us. ❤

Thank you, this was very helpful and way easier to digest compared to other videos on this topic.
About that breathing exercise, I learned that from a therapist several years ago (in Sweden we say “breathe in a square”) but I’ve been taught that nowadays it’s said that “breathing in a triangle” is more helpful which is also my experience. Breathe in, breathe out, hold and repeat so you only hold after breathing out. In my experience when you’re holding your breath after breathing in you keep that tension in your body. So if someone is reading this, I suggest you try both ways and see what helps you the most. 😊

Thank you for these. They're so much more calming than other videos and don't incite terror when you hear the symptoms and expectations. I love the art and your reassuring voice. I'm so much better than I was when I first came accross your videos with hard work. Hope you're well and getting there too. It sure does take time.

I don't get excited. I rarely get anxious Do I really want to become calmer yet? One of my acquaintences says, "If you were any more laid back you'd be dead"
