I was there in 1972 to see Elvis .It was a outstanding concert,he always gave his best. Such a beautiful person inside and out. I loved him then and still love him now,he will always live in my memories and in my heart.
Great tour to see the building and concerts. I’m glad y’all got two chairs!! Part of a important time in history with Elvis!! Thank you both!!🙏💜✨ from Georgia!!!
Did anyone else get Goosebumps when you showed the walk Elvis took to go on stage with the background music. Kind of gives you the feeling Elvis would have had.
Great job guys. I was 14 and saw Elvis last appearance in Roanoke and as I remember he walked up the back ramp onto the stage, that's where those gold curtains were, I remember that like it was yesterday. Thanks for sharing.
thank you for the memories. I was there for all his shows, and had tickets for his next concert, that unfortunately did not come about. I was in the center 5th row on the floor. No one ever took his place.
Barbara, thank you for sharing your story! Please contact us if you would like to share your thoughts with us at some point. Please follow us on Instagram for future updates !
Great video. I forgot about the big gatherings after his passing. I was 10 years old but remember the entire country was so sad and the dominant song during the holidays was Elvis’ Blue Christmas.
Wow the 70s were a special decade mostly because ELVIS toured constantly all over USA . Some places were lucky, they saw ELVIS 2 and 3 times . I would have followed ELVIS to every concert he performed and some
Really enjoyed watching your video, all the way here in Holland. 50 yrs, a huge fan since i was 11. Deff born to late, but its great to feel close watching this. Hope to visit Graceland one day. Greetz from Holland.

Thank you! Believe it or not a goal of ours is to bring a tear to your eye! It’s our way of keeping Elvis right here with us! Please follow us on Instagram for updates!
Wow that footage of the fans mourning his death was sad to see. No entertainer, not MJ, Garth Brooks, nobody can nor will ever replace him in history and future success. You'll never again see someone so important and popular to draw the mass attention and interest nearly half a century after death as Elvis does. Truly the 👑.
Hey brother I love this I’m excited just listening to it man it’s just awesome I live close to Fayetteville me an my mom went saw Elvis I was little but still always keep them memories brother please keep doing these videos I love them
My name is Ken White I took those photos of Elvis leaving the Sheraton hotel in Bexly Va. I took them 2.30PM Aug3 1976...I took 7 pics in all...thank you for enjoying them
@@kenday711 Thanks for taking the photos seen them loads of times in books and magazines over the years. They are amazing photos always to be treasured
@@kenday711 (or Ken White ?) ... I'm just a little bit confused 🤔 ... was that Sheraton located in Roanoke, VA ?? ... I live here in Roanoke, born and raised here, and I've never heard of a Bexly, VA ... there is a Bexley "area" located near Richmond and Chesterfield, but they are several hours from here ... this video is about the three different tour dates in Roanoke that took place in 1972, 1974, and 1976 and I was at one of those concerts ... I'd love to know if the pictures you took are included in this video and if they are truly here in my city/area of Roanoke, Va ?? ... is that Sheraton here in my area ?? ... I hope you see my questions 🙏 and reply to me here ... thanks so much for your help !!
Hello from England It is good to know that this building HAS NOT BEEN DEMOLISHED like a lot of concert venues connected to ELVIS have. Yes, you would expect that from 1971 changes need to be made but the basic structure is still INTACT Every video i have watched of show venues all the signs saying dates and times ALWAYS SAID SOLD OUT. You can understand why ELVIS did 2 shows a NIGHT every night for a month with no break. Looking at the clip of the fans gathering on the 25th i wonder if they ever thought that 44 + years on so far ELVIS would be EVEN MORE POPULAR TODAY THAN AT THAT TIME. And many of the FANS even at the start of the live shows in 1969/70 would still be ALIVE today. Great video -
Great video. It was nice they had a gathering to pay tribute to Elvis the day after he was originally scheduled to play there in August 1977. I wonder how many other venues may have done the same.
It's very interresting video Elvis always drive in a normally good place hotel was not exquisite on tour but in Los Angeles or Las Vegas there are an other lodge for Elvis the Entertainer ❤️🙏RIP him forever👌
Great video! 👏👏👏. Love ALL of y’all’s uploads! Really like your radio announcement intro! 📻 Reminds me of my youth when basically as teenagers all we had for communication was THE RADIO, newspapers and word of mouth! Telling my age now! 🤦♀️. Certainly not like today with all of the technology. Love the way you recreated the girls and Elvis reaching out to touch hands! ✋. Glad you were able to get those chairs! Lucky y’all!! Thanks again! Please keep doing what you’re all doing! TCB ⚡️🕺👑
Another terrific upload. Nobody does it better than you two. Every video is an eye opener. And the chairs are lucky too .... they have acquired a new lease of life under your care!!

Great video. Good for you for getting TWO of the chairs from the Roanoke Civic Center. I love that shot of E reaching up to those girls during his concert. I'd never seen that picture before and I never knew about the fans gathering there to play his music and remember him after his passing. I wish something like that would have happened where I live. Thanks again for a great video. Gives me chills. 👑
That's extreme! That many seats and it was a sold out event!! Calculate that number! Fantastic. I got to see him once. My 16th birthday. I was with cousins. I'm now 63.
Not sure how this was recommended to me (very random) but it was interesting! Roanoke is my hometown and I've been to the Civic Center many times in my life
Elvis has been gone over 45 years and he's still the king nobody will ever match anything that man had he could sing about a piece of lemon or a country road and it wouldn't it's just great long love the king
Wow, Wow, and a triple Wow for good measure!!! Yet another absolutely enthralling masterpiece, a true gem in every sense of the word!!! Love, love, love all the wonderful footage, as well as the photos displayed throughout in this video. Beautiful video as always, I got choked up at 5:07 with that pic fade! Man, that was powerful! God bless y'all for what you do for Elvis' memory. TCE, Marty D ❤
Great to see someone getting the 1976 Roanoke hotel location right; I was worried the hotel might get torn down before the photos could get verified/documented correctly. The chairs made me laugh - I can't count the number of times I've sat in those same chairs; however, they do tend to get a tad uncomfortable after an hour or two, though. Again, great job all the way through and thanks for all the details.
I Love these videos that you do . Great that you have two original chairs. I need to catch up on some of your earlier videos. How many venues have you been to? I bet you've travelled far and wide!

Elvis didn’t like to see anyone but those he knew backstage right before a concert. He was getting himself ready to go on. I’ve heard Linda Thompson and others say that. He did stretches with the guys. He always prayed right before going on! Getting his mind right. I can understand that. He had such a big personality he had to think about words for songs. He was constantly concerned he would forget words to songs.
I Live off of Orange avenue , I went to see Poison there in the mid early or late 90 s Sheetz is across the street. I found out that the lead singer of Drowning Pool had passed away.
Your detail and research is excellent and I’m sure of great interest to any elvis fan. Keep it coming guys. I don’t know if you’ve done one of your videos on madison square garden? If not might be a idea for the future that would be cool.
