I was at this concert and it was just pure Magic.!!! Also attended the May 1st show in Chicago as well....The moment he stepped on stage the room became filled with high-voltage energy that lasted throughout the show. To present-day, I've seen all the top shows, but none compare or come close to feeling the intensity of magic that is felt when the King enters the room.!!! Great memories that I'll always cherish.! I wish everyone could experience the exhilaration of a true legendary performer. Thank you Elvis for all the joy you've brought into my life through your music...Love you my brother.!!! I just said that. Too many people judging him, that don't even know him. I just said it 2 minutes ago lesson 8 year I was President's gone. And they said he weighed 350 pounds. I believe that's a bunch of crap I say he probably weighed I'll say about tops 230 lb. To 240. That's because of his height. And that was all in his face and his gut. His legs and arms were still very thin. And I think that was because he had a twisted colon according to his best friend Charlie Hodge at the time of his death so a lot of these health issues popped up pretty damn quick
One more thing, look at the video capture of this concert it's not as clear as some of the others. I'll tell you why this is a fans video footage I believe. Because the sound doesn't sound all that professional because you can hear it coming through your phone that's why it's not coming through a professional camera. I was always told that

I was at this Chicago concert. My mom went to get the tickets but they sold out. Then they announced that there's another show added. She said she went through quite a stressful time so when I came home from school she said she didn't get tickets. She then admitted she got two tickets. Luckily. It was a great night! I saw Elvis!

Elvis looked and sounded great here in Chicago , I saw him six months later also in Chicago on May 2 1977, and he looked like death !. What a difference six months can make , and three months after that he was dead !.......unreal.
That must have been so surreal to see such an enormous change that soon. I was going to say that he doesn’t look very heavy here at all. He could maybe lose a few pounds, but nothing serious. For everything that’s said about how huge was in 76/ 77, he sure isn’t here. Amazing how different he looks the following June- makes me think it even more that it was mostly bloating.
I disagree you can tell all throughout this concert that something is different with his voice and also his face here is just starting to take on the look it had six months later when it became visibly obvious that he was ill. They still wouldn’t cancel his concerts. 😔 no one thought to do so. He was brining in too much money and no one was willing to put on the breaks not even elvis himself. with his voice - I was a bit shocked - there are actually parts in the second or third song where he sounds like a regular person trying to sing and his voice is high and very flat like a regular person trying to sing and not doing it well. and I don’t even hear the Elvis Presley voice in those moments, but those are just moments, but they go all through the the concert, his voice is much much weaker than how he normally sounded there are even places where he can’t sustain the note for long. It’s Not his regular self. He’s much weaker. I’m surprised no one is noticing this or commenting on it my comment is the only one that points this out. it’s so obvious he is starting to get sick here. aw ❤️ 🌹😢

Elvis looked great in the fall of 1976. A drastic improvement from the summer of that same year. He also wore a red flame jumpsuit at this time. I believe in Dayton. Just incredible.
its often been remarked upon, how in 76 he looked a little hefty but in 77 he was huge ballooned & bloated. In this video in late 76 he had recently undergone a 20 day detox (liquid only) diet to help his blocked colon as well as his weight - he had obviously benefited from it - these were the best shows of 76 (Oct to Dec)
Man he’s so missed. His body may be gone but his spirit and his music will always be with us. Thank you Elvis. Love them videos - they are a gold mine. I think he was much more awesome in private and a wonderful, kind and loving human being and no new Elvis movie with Austin Butler or whoever can give him justice - I hate that damn film. It’s crap. Elvis was in great form for this concert just 10 months before his death. During Polk Salad around 18:08 Elvis puts his hands together in a prayer and looks up. He looks a little worn out during that skit, wondered if he was OK? Love and miss my super hero!

Took my wife to see him in 74, for our wedding anniversary. Best show I have ever seen, even though we were up in the nosebleed seats. We also took our landlords, who became great friends after we bought our first house.

Elvis in the 73 Aloha concert looked too stiff compared to the Pittsburg one of Dec.76 The Aloha rehearsal was far superior to the final one two days later.

You know this is how wonderful Elvis is. He loved his fans. But his fans love them too. I'm reading everyone's comments and not one bad comment. Not ones anyone judged him for any thing he did wrong what he hasn't done anything wrong here he's perfect. I just wish Elvis Presley knew he was the man. He was so damn humble. Artist today I go and watch their videos on their concert so they get done I don't think they sound all that good and I read comments and they're a lot of bad comments criticizing the band whether who it might be John bon Jovi for example. In this concert Elvis is in very fine form. People comment he seems to be under the influence. Actually, this was the time in his life where he met Ginger Alden and he had a bit of spark in attitude and demeanor. He lost at least 15 pounds. He sounds happier, he's really not slurring his words. This concert, the one in Birmingham, the terrific New Year's Eve concert in Pittsburgh are all VERY good from late 1976. If you're a gluten for punishment and want to here his trainwreck concert that would be "Houston We Have a Problem" from earlier in 1976. I wish Elvis would have stayed on this upward trek he was on in late '76.
He didn’t meet Ginger until November 1976 so he hadn’t met her when this concert was taped. Linda was the worst thing that happened to Elvis. He increased his drug use exponentially during his time with her. Ginger was the best thing for Elvis but unfortunately the hangers on didn’t like her because she threatened them and they didn’t want to lose their gravy train.

You know as much as I love Elvis Presley he's my idol. I'm 56 years old I was 12 years old and he died. I would give up the rest of my life to be Elvis Presley back in that time. In other words I would give up anything to be Elvis Presley back in the fifties sixties and seventies and lived his life the way he did but without the medications that he got hooked on from the doctors. But being Elvis would have been a dream come true. I got married in 1993 and I wanted to become Elvis Presley fires tribute artist that I was singing and I was on my way my voice was like almost identical cuz I trained it and I kept training in it. And I was young I was fit, but my wife at the time did not want me to go out and do what I enjoyed to do. Because she was afraid the women would be all over me just like they are with the Elvis. And like today with the trivia artist that I see women go crazy even over them do they sound and I look like Elvis in some ways the good ones that was my dream also if I couldn't be the real thing might as well do the second best. But I didn't do it because of her and we're divorced now. Now I'm older and have some issues now I can't do what I used to do but I can still sound pretty damn close not all of his songs but quite a few of them. I was told when I got done singing in the bar one time that I should go down to the Elvis mania or whatever they call I forget in Memphis Tennessee during his birthday. Or it was a time he died I'm not sure which one it was he said I should go down there. Cuz I could do very well in the contests. I would love to do that

Elvis looked great in the fall of 1976. A drastic improvement from the summer of that same year. He also wore a red flame jumpsuit at this time. I believe in Dayton. Just incredible.

its often been remarked upon, how in 76 he looked a little hefty but in 77 he was huge ballooned & bloated. In this video in late 76 he had recently undergone a 20 day detox (liquid only) diet to help his blocked colon as well as his weight - he had obviously benefited from it - these were the best shows of 76 (Oct to Dec)

Elvis was in great form for this concert just 10 months before his death. During Polk Salad around 18:08 Elvis puts his hands together in a prayer and looks up. He looks a little worn out during that skit, wondered if he was OK? Love and miss my super hero!

@@marieh2070 I think I read that as well, but seeing videos from other shows throughout the 70's, he moved more in some and not so much in others. I wonder if it was health-related sometimes because even in some of the later shows he was more active than in the Aloha show.
Elvis in the 73 Aloha concert looked too stiff compared to the Pittsburg one of Dec.76 The Aloha rehearsal was far superior to the final one two days later.

You know this is how wonderful Elvis is. He loved his fans. But his fans love them too. I'm reading everyone's comments and not one bad comment. Not ones anyone judged him for any thing he did wrong what he hasn't done anything wrong here he's perfect. I just wish Elvis Presley knew he was the man. He was so damn humble. Artist today I go and watch their videos on their concert so they get done I don't think they sound all that good and I read comments and they're a lot of bad comments criticizing the band whether who it might be John bon Jovi for example. Guns and roses for another and they've been around for a few years but Elvis has been around and had a very hard life compared to those guys but people love Elvis and they still to continue to love Elvis and Elvis is picking up younger fans, it's unbelievable and he's gone it's just the people that keeping him alive the fans the family. The media ain't doing s***. We're using the media the post s*** but that's the way it goes Elvis is the man and always will be
In this concert Elvis is in very fine form. People comment he seems to be under the influence. Actually, this was the time in his life where he met Ginger Alden and he had a bit of spark in attitude and demeanor. He lost at least 15 pounds. He sounds happier, he's really not slurring his words. This concert, the one in Birmingham, the terrific New Year's Eve concert in Pittsburgh are all VERY good from late 1976. If you're a gluten for punishment and want to here his trainwreck concert that would be "Houston We Have a Problem" from earlier in 1976. I wish Elvis would have stayed on this upward trek he was on in late '76.
He didn’t meet Ginger until November 1976 so he hadn’t met her when this concert was taped.
Linda was the worst thing that happened to Elvis. He increased his drug use exponentially during his time with her. Ginger was the best thing for Elvis but unfortunately the hangers on didn’t like her because she threatened them and they didn’t want to lose their gravy train.
He actually met her a few weeks later in November

You know as much as I love Elvis Presley he's my idol. I'm 56 years old I was 12 years old and he died. I would give up the rest of my life to be Elvis Presley back in that time. In other words I would give up anything to be Elvis Presley back in the fifties sixties and seventies and lived his life the way he did but without the medications that he got hooked on from the doctors. But being Elvis would have been a dream come true. I got married in 1993 and I wanted to become Elvis Presley fires tribute artist that I was singing and I was on my way my voice was like almost identical cuz I trained it and I kept training in it. And I was young I was fit, but my wife at the time did not want me to go out and do what I enjoyed to do. Because she was afraid the women would be all over me just like they are with the Elvis. And like today with the trivia artist that I see women go crazy even over them do they sound and I look like Elvis in some ways the good ones that was my dream also if I couldn't be the real thing might as well do the second best. But I didn't do it because of her and we're divorced now. Now I'm older and have some issues now I can't do what I used to do but I can still sound pretty damn close not all of his songs but quite a few of them. I was told when I got done singing in the bar one time that I should go down to the Elvis mania or whatever they call I forget in Memphis Tennessee during his birthday. Or it was a time he died I'm not sure which one it was he said I should go down there. Cuz I could do very well in the contests. I would love to do that
