In our opinion, our best video yet!!!
Today, we take you to Little Rock, Arkansas specifically the T.H. Barton Coliseum where Elvis performed only once here on April 17, 1972 as part of the April ‘72 Tour. Over the years there has been a debate on where footage of Elvis backstage in the Red Pinwheel jumpsuit was filmed for the MGM documentary “Elvis on Tour”. In this video, we are able to finish that debate. We hope you enjoy one of our most information packed videos!!! We are excited to be uploading this on the 50th anniversary of Elvis performance in Little Rock (4/17/72)
*Information included in this video was taken from concert reviews, newspaper articles, and coliseum staff.

You're 100% correct. That footage was shot there. That beam in the dressing room is the nail in the coffin. Great work.
Thank you !!
Own Lord Great work. I love it guys TCB
Thank you Sooo Much! I attended that show as an 8 year old with my Mom who recently passed away. A flood of memories, all good, came rushing in. It meant so much for my Mom to get to take me to an Elvis show and I was in awe of the King. The radio station, either KLRA or KXLR, played non-stop Elvis for day or so prior to the concert and I recorded a lot of it on a cassette recorder back then. ❤️😎
Tracing his tours is so great and im sure you guys are making special memories for yourselves, as well. Once again, Elvis bringing people together. Thanks so much for sharing! 🕺👑❤️🔥
50 years ago where has the time gone . Thanks for the video really enjoyed it 👍

Great video! Elvis performed this concert April 17, 1972 on my 10th Birthday. I have now just turned 60. But Elvis will always be Forever young and beautiful.
As a history teacher I must say y'all do a fabulous job... I have been a Elvis fan for most of my 59 years.. I saw Elvis on tour as a kid in the theater... Loved it so much..thank you for these very interesting and entertaining videos..
Completely absorbed watching this, the detail is incredible. The mix of footage where he sings the "Never gonna cease my wondering" gave me chills..I always loved that moment. Thankyou so much. 🇬🇧
Thank you !

I knew a young woman from Fayetteville, Ar., who told me that she and her girlfriends went to Little Rock, for that concert. She told me that Elvis was wearing the red jumpsuit. Hope this will help settle this. Forever Elvis!
Thank u so much 4 clearing that up.he was here. Great performance as ever. Tcb forever ♥️
Can't stress enough how much I appreciate what you fellas do! A glimpse into the magic of Elvis past. You help recreate his presence and footsteps of the greatest human being, musician, entertainer and humanitarian.
Beautifulll thankil❤❤❤🌹🌹
This was a awesome video. This one yet hit close to home. My grandparents lived at 2620 Howard street at gate 5 entrance right by Box Office. Grandfather worked with Barton for 30 plus years on maintenance items. Grandfather was there for rehearsals and told me stories of how they road golf carts around the day before show and being in arena during setup and meeting Elvis. My grandfather told so many stories and things about the doings of the Coliseum. Glad that you finally got to tour the Arena. All the best!
Fantastic again guys! It must be the same feeling as I had when I was in Graceland in 1999...shit we just missed him🙂 we are just too late!☹
But there is still that feeling of being a bit closer to him again when you're in the same space as he was.🙂👍🏿
Absolutely, no doubt about it
You were in ELVIS property, you can’t beat that, now he is gone
Good video, for years and years I too was always under the impression that footage was shot in Richmond so it's nice to learn something new about Elvis even in 2022
Very well done! I love Barton Coliseum and got to see many great shows there in the 80's and 90's. Wish I could have seen Elvis but I was a baby then. That place has so much amazing history!
Awesome, thanks so much.
Great video. Those were the days. Memories.
Thank you and yes such a long time ago!
Great work!! All these years I was wrong!! Thanks guys!
Thanks Kevin! Just glad we got it figured out.
My mother was at that concert in 72 and has pics of Elvis on stage in the red suit !!!
I was there guys as a 6 year old. I was hooked on Elvis after that. Also saw his performance in Pine Bluff in 76. Hope you go there as well for a look back.
Great job guys once again I love these videos of you guys getting the king back on tour I can tell you guys have researched this heavily fantastic job please keep up the good work I hope you guys make it out to the los Angeles forum and the Long Beach arena one day to investigate Elvis’s playing out there in California keep up the amazing work you guys do and for setting those know it all Elvis fans straight ---- Anthony
Thank you ! Glad you like what we do!
I have an interesting story, but long: my mom's roommate in college was Elvis's step brothers wife, I currently live in LR, but my mom and dad went to college in Jonesboro Arkansas, they're no longer with us, RIP mom, dad and grandma, anyways, my mom was invited to the wedding which was in Memphis, (Jonesboro is only about 1 hr away from Memphis),my grandparents were EXTREMELY religious and knew that there would be alchohol and drugs at the wedding and forbid my mom to go. My mom was understably upset. But in return, she received a pair of golden earrings with a letter that was signed by Elvis, his stepbrother, and his wife saying "we wish you could have made it!" Pretty cool. I found it a few months ago after my parents passed away.
Fantastic vídeo guys ! Excellent Work ! Thank you very much ! EP TCB ⚡Forever 🎹 🎶🎤🎸🇧🇷
Hopefully since you brought it to the building manager's attention they will put up some type of Memorial plaque to commemorate that dressing room area...... have been on a similar Quest myself ...
since about 1978 to revisit some of these forgotten about locations across the country........ The Vibes that one gets from being in these locations our incredible....... the only thing that separates us from these events.... are time. I know you guys Focus primarily on the 70s but I've always enjoyed the occasional 50s locations that you visit....... I tend to gravitate more towards the fifties and sixties locations in my personal Quest but obviously any Elvis location is fantastic...... 1972 was a great time and a great period for Elvis and marked by many Fantastic performances......... I had a blast that summer as well.
Thank you so much for the walk down memory lane, please bring us more videos , great job thank you
Incredible video, guys!! Your best one yet!! Amazing detective work! Thanks for all the time and effort you both put into making this video!!
Thank you so much! We appreciate your comments!!
Two of my girlfriends and I attended that concert. As we were leaving, the guys on stage motioned for us to come up. They invited us to go to an afterparty with them, which we did. My friends were obsessed with Elvis and they ended up meeting two of the band members later in Chicago and Las Vegas. Those were the days.
I kid you not I had just started watching Elvis on tour a half an hour ago. Paused it were Elvis's is backstage in the dressing room. Picked up my phone for a second to see if I got any messages or new uploads and your video popped up that pertains to the exact same dressing room........ how's that for a coincidence........ great job on hunting down the exact location and ending the debate. That has to be one-in-a-billion coincidence...... on top of that it's fifty years ago tonight !...... pretty wild.
Absolutely incredible gentlemen!
Thanks Lu! Tell your 𝙴𝚕𝚟𝚒𝚜 friends about us!
Well done boys great work very interesting 👍
Another outstanding offering! This was really great!!
Nice job as always. Your content shows that you both do your homework and research facts before you present them. Kudos to you both!!
Thank you Nick!!
Fantastic video again!!!!!
Thank you very much for all your great work👍👍😀
Awesome video!! I’m from Little Rock and so glad you came to Barton Coliseum! Also, another bit of confusion I’ve encountered relates to editing of Elvis on Tour. As Elvis arrives backstage at Barton, the documentary goes to a clip of Jackie Kahane talking about being in San Antonio. There’s a book called Elvis , His Life from A to Z, that lists T.H. Barton Coliseum as being in San Antonio. But it was indeed Elvis backstage at Barton Coliseum in Little Rock!
We have found that as we document the buildings used in 𝙴𝚕𝚟𝚒𝚜 on Tour that MGM edited the footage like crazy!!
Fantastic Video ! These are fascinating to watch. Thank you.
Elvis...he is EVERYWHERE.
Fantastic video, Great job , it's very nice to see. Thanks!!
It even looks like at around 10:07, you can see a couple notches/dings in the beam that appear to match up to the current video. One is right around Charlie's mid-section and a second one is right about the top of Elvis' head.
Excellent post!! Amazing details and research! Thank You for sharing!
Thank you Rob! Glad you liked it! Tell your 𝙴𝚕𝚟𝚒𝚜 friends about us!!
Fantastic video guys. Meticulous research and so grateful for all the insights you share with us.. thank you!
Cam, you are welcome! Thank you!!
Excellent job. Elvis performed at the Savannah Civic Center in Savannah Ga. In the 70s. The building is unchanged but is up for demolition soon it would be great if you guys would do a story there. Thanks for keeping the spirit of Elvis alive.
Love the clarification Guys. Another excellent video thank you both (and happy Easter from Australia) 🙏
I really appreciate what you do for real Elvis fans like me, good stuff
You are welcome!
That’s so cool! 👏 I’m from Little Rock, it’s my first time hearing this! I was born in the 90s so the only correlation I have with this building/area is the state fair lol
Welcome to our page!!! Thank you for the comment!!!
Ok, I take it back, you did show video. Thanks 👍
Fantastic! great video , a hug from Chile 👏👏👏👏
Thank you Jose!!
Such a great video and I want to ty soo much for these videos. Amazing that some of these building's are still standing and you are able to do these kind of videos. Look forward to seeing more and good luck and be safe in you're travels and ty for keeping the Elvis history in concert alive for us.
Awesome Thank you The T.H. Barton coliseum is a Shrine.
It's fascinating to go back in time to April '72. Your explanation is very clear on the alteration to the room seen in the film and the extensions made to the building. I've seen the film many times, had a friend who didn't like the split screen technique. Yes, do remember the reversed image, Elvis photos are prone to that, no idea why! Elvis came and went and we hang on to the memories. Very nice video.
This is so cool, wow!!
Thank you !!
I'm glad you made this video, I've watched that movie so many times I lost count but soon as you walked in I recognized it right away.
With their hotel being so close, its no wonder they got there "too soon" as Elvis had stated in the movie.
It was very close in Little Rock but as we have seen as we travel the country that wasn’t always the case for him.
That's a good point. I've always wondered if Elvis directed that comment at someone specific.
Soy elvisiana!!! Felicidades a todos sus seguidores!!!!
Elvis looks amazing 😍 in the burning love 😘 jumpsuit. Elvis always being very giving 🤑/generous 🤑 and trusting to a fault 😢 humble ❣️ considerate funny 🤣 very talented, hardworking, handsome, down to earth 🌍 and a compassionate human being.
Congratulations on the research work. It's really amazing to be able to revisit this place after 50 years. It's like I'm there. A sense of nostalgia... fantastic!
Thank you Marcelo!
great videos boys keep up the great work
I love thes video s I wich I could go back in time
I remember that old cow barn well. I had three graduations there. I missed Elvis but I saw Ike and Tina, Chuck Berry and Santana there.
Great video 👍🏻😎
Thank you !!
Great detective work as usual
Thank you !!
great video guys! elvis at Little rock keep up great work guys
Great video. I love the detail.
Excellent! Good job in explaining this, and clearing it up. Differently Little Rock.
Wow, I was lost watching this fantastic film.
Many thanks for sharing.
Truly remarkable to think Elvis played there and what a fabulous venue with so much history relating to the king.
Tremendous, well done!!
Thank you!!
Love your forensic detail on these videos. Great work. Thanks from the UK 👍
Thank you!!
Nicely done. Very cool. That imperfection in the column...a line that's about 2-3 inches long and just over your head...is visible in the original footage and your current video. That's incredible.
So damn cool just to be able to stand exactly where Elvis once stood !!
Such a good video. Thanks for clearing that up ! It’s so frustrating that they won’t release a lot of the On Tour footage !!!
Well done! Another great video. Appreciate the work you all put into these.
You are welcome!
Great job as usual. Love the super imposing, that is so cool.
Once again great work😃.. thank you for this interesting video👍
You are ver welcome Roger!
Excellent video 📼 great insight 🇬🇧
Yep you've got it exactly. the concrete piller 10:14 mark has the exact same mark (from when it was formed) on it (about 3/4th up) as in the Elvis dressing room shot.
Amazing! Absolutely love this type of comparison. Thank you so much guys, from Spalding in Lincolnshire (UK), keep sharing the King's legacy....! Love it 👍
Great work
Thank you!!
Interesting information and very good job, many thanks from Finland...
I was at that concert
From a true Elvis fan. Not to mock Elvis but to say it From the heart. "Thank you, Thank you very much "
You are welcome!
Excellent video well done 👍 ☘️☘️☘️ As I said before great insight into Elvis’s Concerts
Thank you Richard!!
Excellent episode as usual. So interesting.👍👏👏
Thank you!!
This was great guys. Thank you so much for all the time and effort you put into getting these videos together. As someone who is involved trying to preserve another aspect of Elvis’ legacy (#thecirclegfoundation) I really appreciate what you guys do
How anyone could question that the footage from backstage was shot in Little Rock is beyond me. It has been established for ages that it was from T.H. Barton Coliseum.
Anyway, it was nice to see the building as it is today though.
Wow!!❤
GREAT JOB!! Always wondered where that was. Love the longer video too.
Glad you liked it!
Yes yes, it is incredible. There is the white column that is the reference and it is the same and you think that if you stay there next to that column and in a chair of time you give the lever and you go to 1972 and suddenly you are at the Elvis's side. Gives you to think a lot and imagine and it's incredible. Time can do everything.
The king the best all of time. Re Elvis il migliore di tutti i tempi. Ciao dall'Italia 👑👑👑
What a great place for a concert. I bet is sounded great. Looks like it was built for concerts.
Man I’m saw a lot of concerts there back in the day
