    Try riding in Alberta. Lucky to get five months of rideable weather.

      I’ve heard that... Extremely unfortunate as I love Alberta. Best province in Canada IMO. Yet this is the main reason I could not live there. The few mths I go without the bike now makes me crazy lol.
      Appreciate the comment! Thanks for watching!!

    The first thing I changed was that suitcase looking muffler! I don’t know what Honda’s design team was smoking when they came up with that terrible muffler. I got the Mustang seat (love it) and the Memphis Shades “Batwing” and now I’m totally happy with my ‘22 1100 DCT version.

      Nice! Sounds like a great set up. Do you miss the clutch? How do you like the DCT?
      Still have to go for a test ride on one of those.

      If you can, test ride it. The 1100 is a beast. Although I still live my 500, that 1100 has me wanting to upgrade.

    HEY, Slight. pretty good review of the 1100. i own the 2019 rebel 500. i (as a rule)don't ride interstate. but i rode from Tampa, fl. back to Ocala, fl on interstate, 77 mph for two hours, the little bike handled it well. i was in the rain, 12 or better head winds. I was looking at the Indian scout, at about 14 K brand new, this 1100 at 10 K brand new, and it's a Honda is steering me to it instead of Indian. i guess i will have to go test ride each. Anyway, thank you for this, i like the looks of the rebel, and the Indian is V twin. geez, decisions, oh well. thanks again.

      I have a few 1100 videos in the works... one being the comparison to the 500. Although I love my 500... the 1100 is a much better bike in many areas... not all though.

    Although I understand insurance is different depending on rider, location, etc... but do you know approximately the difference in insurance for a 500 vs 1100?

    • @SLIGHT_
      @SLIGHT_  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It does depend on situation… yet in my case it was only marginally more. 10-15 per mth last I checked.

      This is including tax.

      Shouldn’t be that different from Canada to USA… as they both have these fees. If it was build in the USA that would make sense.

    Cruise control can be set to a lower speed, it just wont set lower than 3rd gear. If I recall correctly... Also Nevada is the state I live in and usually can ride year round. And with heated grips and gear why stop?

      Well, up here in Ontario Canada, when there's 2 feet of snow and black ice everywhere, it's simply not worth the risk. Hell as soon as that white stuff starts falling people forget how to drive....that's assuming some of them even knew how to drive in the first place, and some don't.

  • @valienterf

    crouse control engages at 25mph, now the dct is great but, but when you want to coat by pressing the clutch that i like, no can do is like driving elexteic regen car. So other than that is great.

    • @SLIGHT_
      @SLIGHT_  ปีที่แล้ว

      Nice. Most stated it comes on at 30mph, with it in third gear or more.

      I dont get it why this limitations in other places. I have it for year and, the two times i have put in sport it has been a bit not good. For now i lobe standard or User mode with keeping low gear longer.

    • @SLIGHT_

      Both the 1100 and 500 can do highways speeds.,the 300 is sketchy yet some have even done this… It’s governed at 170km/h on the gauge (so about 160km/h or 100miles/hr. So lots of passing speed if needed.

    Nice to see someone riding a MANUAL 1100. The DCT is gawd awful. It's a weird setting for the cruise control though. On the BMW the cruise control can be activate just above 30mph (I guess so you can stay constant through restricted speed zones [we get alot of 30s and 20s in the UK]). Very nice to see the 2023 WITHOUT that awful "touring" faring.

      It’s been brought to my attention you can set it much lower but needs to be in 3rd gear or higher.
      Joni has the 1100T manual… I should be doing a test on that soon.
