I love your honesty I had an eye opening talk with my mom and realized I have been much more mean than gentle with my toddler after having my baby. So overwhelmed and stressed and never doing anything for myself. But this is not her fault. I want her to feel loved and gentle parent her. I want her to feel safe, not scared in going to scold her. I don’t know what to do I just want to be better

I have trouble with this all the time I need to learn more gentle parenting than verbal anger when she does something wrong or pushes my buttons

This is so helpful, and it’s lovely to feel validated. My childhood was horrible and I’m frequently triggered by my children. I’ve never felt the urge to hit but I’ve shouted and felt dreadful afterwards, I am extremely sound sensitive and I also often feel overwhelmed and can’t think straight. I will be trying these tips to help me calm down and respond in the way I can feel proud of. I know it works when I am upset and my children try and comfort me with the words I’ve used with them. 😊 Thank you!

I find that doing some of these things when I start feeling upset really help me keep my cool... most days 😂 I think it’s also important to acknowledge that we are humans and only God has never ending patience. If we get it right 30% of the time, we re doing great 😊💪🏻
