Good job. Just wondering why do u need to put down 5 coats of the basecoat? What paint scheme ure using? Usually we can get away max 3 coats of the base with good coverage paint system.

Thanks 🙏 for the kind words. So I use solvent base coat Axalta Spies Heckers brand and with red colors I like to make sure I get good coverage because red base coat has very little pigment and might not get a accurate color match if it’s not covered properly.

Why was thd front bumper cover taped off in thd center of the nose ? Was there a body line or seam to hide it ? Or did you use blending thinner to melt in the dry edge of clear ?

There was a body line on that part of the bumper that I used to tape on the edge of the body line so I wouldn’t have to blend.
