Tewkesbury School stabbing incident: Large police response on scene

Footage taken this morning (July 10) of police surrounding a school in Tewkesbury where there are reports of a stabbing and an ongoing armed incident. Gloucestershire Police have stated on Twitter: "An adult has been taken to hospital with a suspected stab wound following an incident at Tewkesbury School. We were called around 9.10am today (Monday) with a report a pupil had stabbed a teacher. A teenage boy has been arrested in connection with the incident." #tewkesbury

​@@AeroPhxWell, it's been 7 months and to be honest, there really hasn't been much change at the school since the incident. Only change is that Sixth Formers must have some kind of proof that they are a Y12/13 and some teachers now have Walkie talkies, but that's really it.

What is the point I. So many police after the fact? Just standing around blocking the road and the entrance with 4 cars lots and lots of police when there is two gates. Big police presence appropriate yes but this is excessive. I suspect most coppers are they more for their own entertainment. I don't know anything about this story. I hope things are as good as they can be. I fear the worse. What has this country become?

There's no need to criticise, they were hunting the suspect because he ran off after the initial stabbing and the school was on lockdown. Due to the nature of the incident plenty of resources are sent so they can handle any other incidents that might occur/crowd/traffic control etc. Use your brain, it isn't excessive at all.
