      Agreed with parents applying discipline, it isn't a teachers place to apply the same discipline as a parent, however isolation, loss of freedom, loss of access to resources, and removal from the school on both temporary and (if needed) permanent occasions.
      You need to remove things from them that they use to communicate, smartphones, computers, and games consoles are chief among those.
      Restrict their freedom and punish them.
      And if they bring a knife into school with any suggested intent to harm or threaten then you treat them like any other dangerous knife wielding criminal and throw the book at them regardless of their age, a no nonsense approach to the use and handling of bladed articles.

      @longnamedude3947 I do agree with you.
      Discipline starts at home, and parents have become pleasers over the years.
      Teachers is not there to teach our children Discipline.
      Many years ago I asked my son when he was still in school about what does he think about physical punishment and his answer was that there are nothing wrong with physical punishment along it does not change into physical abuse.
      The problem is that if parents are to scared of giving proper punishment or they just abuse the children.
      I also see how parents bribe their children to listen otherwise they will not get 'this or that'
      Parents must learn to be parents and treat their children as a 'responsibility that needs to fit into the bigger world'
      Sad to see this world change into a crime jungle

      It’s not just the country. It’s the world. There is no back to anything it previously was. People are out of control. Just recently, two teenagers were sentenced to life in prison for beating their Spanish teacher to death with a baseball bat when they were 16 years old. They killed their Spanish teacher because she “dared” to give one of them a bad grade. SO they killed her. Parents are failing around the world and children and teenagers are becoming murderers at a young age. Lots of these cases in the U.S., now here, and these are the ones we know about. Then you have that 19 year-old activist leading college students to disrupting society and even disrespecting the King when invited to a GBNews show. It’s utterly disgusting all what is happening.

When I was 18 in 1983 a lad I knew the same age was sentenced to a year in prison for stealing a car and he served the whole year in Norwich prison. When he came out he told me that he met other lads his age doing life. Nowadays in the extremely unlikely event that anyone that age is given a custodial sentence they will serve it in a young offenders institution (childrens home). And there lies the problem, no punishment at home, no punishment at school and no punishment from the courts. Until recently I was under the impression that it was a criminal offence to carry a knife? Not so, apparently it's only an offence if there's an inscription on the blade or handle saying that it's intended to be used to cause harm! Who the hell dreams up this pathetic crap?

Yes they are not 'their' children, but most parents are at work and most definitely not on the premises. Therefore school has something called loco parentis or being in charge, whilst parents are not there. I'm sure the school was doing all that it could in the circumstances and in the best interests of the children. That's what schools do. Take a minute to think about the teacher for a moment ! Children are out of control now, this possibly is partially due to generations of families not working and living on benefits, they are not raised with a sense of community or abiding to basic human values. I think benefits should be stopped , except for the disabled. Work gives one a purpose in life, and teaches responsibility.

    • @taniabigby347
      @taniabigby347 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      That is not always the case, in some cases it’s down to both parents working hard and not being present enough to know what their kids are getting up to or involved in. I was disabled and on benefit but both my kids are extremely respectful and are very hard working. My son has worked his way up to managerial positions since he was 17 and he’s 32 now.

I taught them respect and kindness.

    The country is in a dire disgraceful situation and I understand full well why working people want to strike. The teacher wants to educate pupils academically and then gets stabbed? What on earth is this country becoming? It’s uncivilised and vile. I work from home and I’m fortunate to say this. If you are in a public sector working job I’d advise if possible start saving and get out while you can. Remember the government do not care about you as an individual or your family and they are the most important thing in your life. You and your family and I hope this teacher recovers and doesn’t pass by this scandalous vile teenage creature.
