He was pulled into a brainwashing cult that hammered into him that rock music was evil and they literally beat him up and humiliated him. Their emotions here at this concert were all genuine sadness. 5 months later, the pink haired guitarist, Hide, in the neon suit died tragically. 10 years later the band reunited, with a new guitarist, Sugizo. This was the Last Live Concert, hence the emotional look on the band’s faces. Especially this emotional song and the reason why the crowd keeps on singing, they don’t want it to stop. The guy playing the piano is their drummer and the drums played here are simply backtracks. He’s a very talented pianist and songwriter. A few months after this, Hide (the neon guitarist) died or killed himself, it’s not fully known which one it is. Makes it extra emotional, i always get the chills when hearing this song
I was lucky enough to score tickets for the first night of the 3 Blood Red Nights concerts last year. Absolutely fantastic show, my first time seeing them live after being a fan for 20 years. Yoshiki was absolutely drained at the end, collapsed on the floor.

The guy on piano is Yoshiki, he is the soul of X Japan. Although he’s a classically trained pianist, he primarily plays the drums (not to mention he’s the primary, if not sole, composer for the group). He goes SO HARD on the drums (for many years now) that he has permanent damage to his neck, back, and arms!!! The doctors have told him many times he should quit playing, but he won’t!! There’s a 2016 documentary called “We Are X” that you should watch. It was on Netflix, not sure if it still is or not. Yoshiki is what some call a “tortured soul”. Watch the documentary, you’ll see what I mean.

Band-Maid’s latest album Epic Narratives came out a little over a week ago. Like X-Japan, Band-Maid brilliantly play the full range from melodious ballads to very hard rock.
Now how about some Dir En Grey
Yessss. That or NUL, both great options imho
That was beautiful... I got prolonged chills when the crowd started singing. I'm gonna need to listen to this band a lot more!
Ma heart and eyes in tears when saw hide on screen.. 😔😢😢
X JAPAN is, to this day, one of my favorite bands of all time. This song is likely their biggest hit and is the most famous of their ballads. They wrote a lot of fast, shredding songs too. I'd be happy to recommend several.
children of bodom - oops i did it again
Mika Manninen up
Can stop my tears watching the last live everytime
now from "Endless Rain" over to BABYMETAL's "No Rain, No Rainbow"(live at Legend S)
such feels...
Thank you for choosing this song for me.( ᵕ_ᵕ̩̩ )This song was born in 1989.
Very nice, first time I've seen this. I'm so glad there is a band making old type of music like this. They are very good. It's beautiful
This band is actually almost 30 years old believe it or not.
@@AlphaXbot Are you serious? Oh man sorry. I didn't know. Wow I wish I knew about them before. Well that makes sense. You never get to hear beautiful classical songs like this anymore today. Thank you for the info.😉
@@ericaespinosa4030 Hey no problem, sadly from what I've researched you can't find alot of their songs anymore. There's only 1 album on spotify but I know there's at least 1 other one so I cant be certain how much music they really made
You should look deeper into the Japanese metal scene, lots of heavy and power metal stuff definitely worth looking into. Banger TV did an episode on it.
@@MaddDogg316 Well I know about Baby Metal. They rock. I like them a lot.
I still remember the first time I watched this performance. I cried like a bitch. The feels, the emotion, the story behind this live, disbandment, Hide deaths. Oh man... The Best Live Ever, for me.
You have done x Japan, babymetal and you have done bandmaid you are still to witness the best band from Japan maximum the hormone
FUCK YES
He is also missing Galneryus. And since he likes power metal recently it should be right up his alley ^^
I kinda like WagakkiBand, too.
THIS! Oh and Crystal Lake / Crossfaith !
Coldrain
This song mean so much. This is the last song in thier last live show before disband. That's why the audians sing the Endless Rain in endless way, they don't want show end.
love from Japan
Love your channel alex and your journey through metal music man....bought one of your ozzy thanks for my fiance....she loves booths ozzy and dogs thanks....keep it up with the awesome reaction videos.....wish you the best....have a dope ass day man 😀
Wow auto correct screwed me in that message lol...ozzy tanks and she both loves lol
Yngwie - I'll see the light tonight or I'm a Viking or Rising force
Disciples Of Hell
@@gregmarkel9528 that one is great too
This was the Last Live Concert, hence the emotional look on the band’s faces.
Y] - Yngwie Malmsteen - Far Beyond the Sun
japan got Syu from Galneryus
I was lucky enough to score tickets for the first night of the 3 Blood Red Nights concerts last year. Absolutely fantastic show, my first time seeing them live after being a fan for 20 years. Yoshiki was absolutely drained at the end, collapsed on the floor.
Finally X Japan, and the song you choose is ENDLESS RAIN? .... Bah! Sorry for my outburst, but if you ever decide to do X Japan again, please go with "X (The Last Live)". Trust me! Way better representation of this band.
1000% I always say Endless Rain isnt the best choice for getting into X Japan. Especially this performance. I remember watching it without knowing the band properly. Not as emotional and impactful like it is now. To me it still strikes a chord.
@@haido9121 It's not a good introduction for this channel. I agree. Still an awesome performance for the fans.
That's not like any other version of Endless Rain. It's their last song on their setlist for their best show ever before they split. If you have to listen a version of Endless Rain, you have to listen this one first.
I'd say Weekend would be even better tho
@@RoseOfNight nah weaboo reacted to weekend for his first x Japan song and 1. The comments were mostly saying it wasn't a good start and 2. It took him a year or something like that to hear their next song, endless rain and it blew him away.
The song was written by Yoshiki, the pianist and former drummer, about his Dad who committed suicide when Yoshi was ten years old.
Sadly Hyde, pink hair-neon outfit committed suicide a few months after this performance.
Next time for X Japan "kurenai" or "art of life".Y - Yngwie Malmsteen "Rising Force"
xJapan is the biggest band ! Ur reaction was everything .. xjapan totally got u .. and the guy in the yellow suit is Hide ... the greatest guitar player who walked this earth !!!!!!
React to!!
DREAM THEATER - HOME
Best quality TH-cam: Dream Theater - Metropolis 2000: Scenes From New York [HQ]
Go to: 42:00!!
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!
He just needs to react to Metropolis Part 2.
That Ozzy logo is dangerously close to copyright infringement. Check out Ozzy Osbourne latest logos...
The history behind this band is both impactful and very sad.
Thank, X Japan ist my favorite band. In Octobre 11, 2014 see the band in the MSG in New York in this song is increble. Thankisssss WE ARE X , HELLO FROM PUERTO RICO.
LASTLIVE…EndlessRain、、、、
hideちゃんこの時涙流しながら弾いてましたよね…
このEndlessRainはいつ見ても涙が…
hideちゃんが、ピンクヘアー…イエローハート…
外国人の方が分かってくれる、、
それはXファンとして嬉しいことです。、
This is my all time favorite live of all time. The emotion is so palpable you can almost feel it weigh down on you even from a screen.
It was in The Last Live
The reason why they stopped playing and just sat there, is because this was their last song and last performance of the farewell tour. The crowd didn't want them to leave the stage, so they kept singing the chorus. This band is like a religion, the fans love them so much and they love them back.
Yngwie Malsteen - Red Devil
Forever X ! R.I.P. Hide 🎸
React to BAND MAID -dice,moratorium,yolo,real existence, play, non fiction days ...and so many songs are there..there songs are so catchy..good band you should react to it..IT IS MY FAVOURITE BAND...
So very sad for Hide (the eclectic guy with yellow dress and pink hair), an excellent self-taught guitarist, died too young and in a tragic way few months later that tour. That live is excellent
*Stratovarius - Black Diamond* Also very good
This channel's just chilling with a good bro, and jamming out, love it!
Dir en Grey - Vinushka
私はこの時のライブに居た1人です笑
Omg endless rain?? You should react to X Japan "Rose of Pain" or "Art of Life"......MASTERPIECES!!!!!
I subscribed to you near a year ago and never saw this reaction. o_O And It´s so hard for me to hear this most beautiful song and live crowd ever (for me)...
The split of the band and the death of Hide ripped me apart and I stoped listen to X Japan Music after all of this.
I just was to young to cope with it....
So now, 20 years later and I still feel the pain and cried so much while I'm watching this Video and your reaction. R.I.P Hide
X Japan “Kurenai” from the Last Live. You must react to it. 👍🏻
Y=Yob. Epic doom metal from Eugene Oregon. Doom #2 or Ether are great starts that are easier to get into. But their longer stuff is truly epic.
Now HERE'S a suggestion. But most people here are entry-level plebs or people that never bothered to mature their tastes
Ball of malten lead would be a good choice too.
OneNoteRiff totally agree. Or Quantum Mystic. Or The Lie That Is Sin.
That was the last song that they performed because they officially disband after that. So the fan keep on singing because they don't want it to end.
Legend of japanes band love x-japan and rip hide and taiji 💖💖💖
Best song you've reacted so far
Rusty Nail or X are more like Metal
x japan has always been my favorite band....the music and the spirit are just so pure and beautiful....
Thought the (x) was going to be xandria. O well.
I love Xandria, but X Japan is far more important for him to listen to.
Alfadas fire xandria would be the 2nd choice
