You just reacted to the Japanese rock/metal gods. They are actually a band from the 1980s. They formed earlier than Bon Jovi and Guns N' Roses. They are also the fathers of Visual Kei. The history of this band is amazing. There is a documentary on them called "We Are X", if you can, see it, I recommend it. In addition, you have a great sense. Some say that " November Rain " was inspired by this song. The lyrics of the song are difficult and may refer to the personal experiences of Yoshiki - the leader, composer, drummer and pianist of X Japan. If they weren't from Japan, they would probably be one of the biggest bands in the world.
I swear every comment of yours you're dropping so much knowledge and insight to all these bands/artists. You definitely know your stuff when it comes to Japanese music lol.
@@TwistedGunZ It's very nice that you think so, but actually I have very general knowledge:) It's just that sometimes there are such creators who go beyond the average. Even if you don't want to, you start to get to know them better:)
@@waszamrocznosc5798 I can understand that. I feel doing this has helped me get a better understanding of some of these artists since someone has a lot of general knowledge about them in the comments. All these artists are generally new to me but I think Lovebites has really stood out to me the most. Getting to know the members by name, learning about losing their bassist, then finding Fami and coming together after 3 years and such. I think breaking down the lyrics really helps to get into the mindset of the artist a bit. See things from their perspective and how it relates to your own life/perspective as well. Hopefully in time I can gain that general knowledge as well but it's really rewarding seeing people take the time to help me understand what/why the song came to be and the journeys these bands have gone through.
@@TwistedGunZ You have a very cool approach to the pieces you analyze. You are sincere and committed to what you are doing. I like your reactions. And you're right, the additional information helps us better understand the creator's intentions, what he intended to convey to us.
I've read that November Rain was actually inspired by this song. The last live 97 version was even better especially if you know their history - I mean 2 childhood friends (vocalist and the drummer) sitting by the piano thinking that it's their last performance together, in fact it is for the beloved guitarist HIDE who dies few months after, it is really hard to watch but it is the one performance that got me into their music, btw sadly both bass players are gone too:(
X Japan is defianetly a Live band, you just dont get the fully image of their influence and love from the MVs, this song was Yoshiki first ballad (he wrote and composed most of X Japans song and is their drummer/pianist), the producer heard him playing the melody and was intrigued what the song was and insisted that it was to be added to their upcoming album (Blue Blood) and the rest is history, its one of their most played songs. In regards to the lyrics it is about heartbreak because of lost relationship but not how one would imagine. Yoshiki lost his father when he was 10 to suicide and many of the songs lyrics reflect his pain of losing his father, as is the case in Endless rain aswell. You should check the Last Live version and make a little background check on what was going on during those times to see the full picture of why this band is so special to so many people.
