I think Whatsapp message updates will actually update when the sender went back online after you reinstalled Whatsapp on the same or another device. This does happen to me when I reinstall Whatsapp (on the same phone, though; but I guess it applies as well to your case).

how do you transfer all the signed accounts from your old Samsung phone to a new one? you know in settings there an option called "accounts" The option does show in the smart switch but it doesn't transfer any accounts except Samsung and google, that too you have to end the credentials so whats the point of giving an option of accounts to transfer
