Im not going to lie, im not the biggest fan of the Cod franchise outside their WW2 games and the first Black ops and MW, but I played the crap out of MW2, I loved this game and all of its missions especially this one. I found it much more rewarding to kill Shepherd over Makarov

Actually, the TF-141 is part of the USA. Soap and Price went after Shepherd after killing Roach and Ghost. Why did Shepherd kill Ghost and Roach? Because since they were kind of a war hero, Shepherd got real jealous, and went and killed them, so he could be the war hero, and them, being Price’s friends, he goes on a mission to kill Shepherd once and for all.

Makarov went through the Zakhaev Airport Massacre because he knew what would happen if Allen died, and Shepherd only assigned Allen to the mission because he knew what Makarov would do to him, playing into his goals of sparking war between Russia and America. The difference was Makarov wanted an expanded Russia, while Shepherd wanted to restore the US as a military force to be reckoned with.
No COD to this day has topped this ending. Amazing score and so much tension trying to pull that knife out of your stomach and finally kill Shepard. It’s the satisfying ending that everyone wanted and deserved.
This came up in my recommended, and I must say. This was absolutely beautiful. It makes me wanna dust off my 360 and replay the whole story again. Thank you.

MW3 was honestly pretty mediocre. What really took me out of the campaign was multiple voice changes, lazy writing, and overall lack of shock effect on the audience in the game. For example, in MW1 you have the nuke and when Gaz and Griggs are killed, you get an "oh shit" feeling. Same thing with No Russian in MW2 and shepherds betrayal. In MW3 though, when soap died I thought "are you fucking serious" because the writers would never kill off soap, and it turns out the writers from MW2 and 1 did not write MW3. I didn't get that feeling of revenge like Ghost and Roaches betrayal. Also, Frost randomly disappearing and the rangers from this game not coming back, made it feel like it wasn't a sequel to the series. Makarov was also completely changed, in MW2 he's an ultranationalist (revealed by when he said "For Zakhaev"), which they did not want to take over the world or whatever simply take over control of the Russian government. But in the third game, Makarov apparently wants to conquer every country there is? It doesn't make sense. Overall, the story of MW3 was just very lacking.
