This edit cuts out some of the heart to heart Mr. Brady and Jan had before she decided to go out back and join her siblings. It’s actually a pretty touching scene with good acting by Eve Plumb and Robert Reed.
Ha good catch. In the episode where Bobby is afraid of heights, the kids are jumping on the trampoline and Carol says, “Go get ‘em, Chris” when Peter is on the trampoline (Chris Knight played Peter).
Holy cripe, you have got some super sonic hearing!! I mean I went back and (now) heard it, too, but I never would have caught that without you mentioning it.
@jaredjlinden I checked it out. Yes Carol says "Go get em Chris"...and then Greg says, "Give it a try Eve" in the same scene. I guess the director was half asleep to miss 2 mistakes in the same scene....lol
...Jan clearly realized that although Brothers & Sisters can be GRATING at times (especially to a Middle child, who feels 'different')....She has a FAMILY that are close-knit, respectful, HEALTHY, & knows when she goofed up.....(2:12) ....we ALL would do ANYTHING, to be a "Brady".... ; )
This wasn't the only time that Jan's siblings gave her the cold shoulder. When Jan won the school election for being voted the most popular girl in school it got inside her head and she decided that now that she had won that she wasn't going to fulfil any of the pre-election promises that she had made. This didn't go down very well with her brothers and sisters, who did a lot of hard work and campaigning for her to help her get elected.
Look at Marcia's sack at the beginning, when she starts the sack has a logo of some kind printed on it but when she turns to come back the logo is gone.
Jan's hair... She becomes 100% more attractive if you mentally remove the tendrils and keep everything else the same. Eve is a great example of beauty that shines without embellishment.
Jan wore glasses on and off. They were actually functional as Eve had vision issues and it was written into the script! I'm still not sure, though, whether it was for near or far-sightedness. Examples: Jan running into the family picture while on her bike (need glasses for distance) vs. Jan can't read the menu that time Alice worked at a diner (need glasses for reading).
Only child here..Sucks as adult.. noises no nephews my kids don't have any cousins... but I did always get to bring a friend when we went on vacation LOL
Yeah, it looks like a groovy happening!! And i absolutely agree that all these years later, we now look at this fun activity as an injury waiting to happen hahahaha. I miss being young and invulnerable!
Jan had such gorgeous hair!

It hurts to be ignored but I understand where Jan is coming from too.
I am ignored all the time
Jan was drinking and listening to Joy Division in her room.
Actually it doesn't hurt at all..good rittins
Listen carefully at 28 second mark. Bobby yelled Maureen Go...( Marcia's real name)
Yeah, it´s true

@jaredjlinden great. I will look for that too. It's funny how the director doesn't catch stuff like that and redo the scene.

Robert Reed was terrific in this episode, when Mike talks to Jan.
I love the Brady's they resolve problems like in 3 seconds
Most sitcoms are like that. Life is not like you see on those silly Hollywood sitcoms.
Jan wanted too be an only child, but then realized she needed her siblings.
I miss shows like this, love how the Dad is such a good person and an anchor in the family...
eve plumb was a good lil actress
Those Mike Brady lectures were gold!
fun fact. there was no glass on those sliding doors
Good point. And their lawn was astroturf.
Jan was good at looking crushed when she watched the kids playing.

WHY on earth did you cut out the sweet part with Mike?
It makes me tear up every time. Eve was a really good actress. That scene with Mike where she's crying feels so real. 😢
Robert Reed was SO good with all the kids. You could tell he really cared about them. It made the scenes so realistic.
@@gretchennelson7056 I agree. ❤️
Am i the only one that finds all this young actors likeable ❤
When families knew how to have fun
When people owned potato sacks LOL😅
Yep now everyone is on their devices barely saying a word to each other

Family is everything
It was nice of Jan to invite Donna to the Ho Down after all the Ho Down can always use another Ho.😂
🤣😅😂🤣😅😂🤣😅😂🤣😅😂🤣😅😂

Jan Brady was the original Meg Griffin. Shut up, Jan!

I love Jan's hair, it's gorgeous.
Life in the 70's as family!!!
Now, everybody is on their computers on social media.
I love Alice! I needed an Alice in my life growing up. I wouldn't have gotten into so much trouble.
Jan became an architect in the later movies and tv specials.
One square of artificial turf masquerading as real grass is quite visible at about 0:43.
Why post this without the best part, the heart to heart talk jan' s father gives her before she joins them.
Wasn't Jan wearing glasses by then?
She started using contact lenses but then lost them during her driving lesson.
@@jdmagana1132 Man, you have a great memory... if what you're saying is in fact true, as I can't remember anything about that.

@@AndrewMacLaine One could still be diagnosed with both near & far sightedness.
One of the best episodes from season4😊
Mike Brady was the best dad on TV
He was one of the best fathers. Al Bundy was probably the worst TV dad.
I know it hurts to be left out, but sadly, Jan, you brought this one on yourself.
Jan wished she was an only child & now she's regretting it..
Poor Jan..
I like that she didn't apologize.
Considering the crap they pulled on her - and didn’t apologize themselves for it either, she had every right to.
Jan was kind of a mess and that’s why she’s my fave. I never realized how good of an actress Eve is, she really got that angst across.
❤I love it ❤️
Only child here..Sucks as adult.. noises no nephews my kids don't have any cousins... but I did always get to bring a friend when we went on vacation LOL
Ironically, Jan does eventually follows in her father's footsteps and becomes an architect.
Rarely get to see Marsha's cute little hoots bouncing up and down like that.
❤I love it
Oh, man, that looks like fun... or should I say "a gas"? LOL. I would be afraid to break a bone now though!
Yeah, it looks like a groovy happening!! And i absolutely agree that all these years later, we now look at this fun activity as an injury waiting to happen hahahaha. I miss being young and invulnerable!
@@AndrewMacLaine Me, too!!
It was far out.
Peter wins! Because he's the absolute best.
That did look like fun
They were jealous because she is the sexy one.
The family was on some serious drugs
Man 1970s TV was boring.
Jan got what she wanted
Jan was always tryna make the show about her! She was a selfish little witch!
Yeah I agree
@@RapFanatic4ever they should’ve just gave her a spin off. The show was canceled because of her and that nasty attitude of hers.
I'm not crying, I just have something in my eye.
Booo Jan! Boooo! Go run away from home!
And go where?
Well, Jan, you wished to be an only child, you've got your wish! Can't say I feel sorry for you!
