Weingut Alten - 2021 Semi-Dry Riesling, Maximiner Klosterlay Vineyard

The Maximiner Klosterlay vineyard is an ideal place for Riesling grape vines. The 50 year old vines face Southwest, with the Mosel River at the bottom and an open valley on the opposite bank. The soil is grey and blue slate, quartzite, and clay; underground springs provide sufficient water to the vines above.
This wine offers elegant aromas of peach, mandarin, lime and minerals, and is an excellent choice to pair with grilled seafood, and citrus/fruity salsa.
