There is a method where you can put your 3ds in dsi settings to and use the events that Nintendo held, where you would download it from them a mystery legendary Pokémon. You get a card, hold up to 3 at once. Turn the card in get a legendary. Rinse repeat. So basically you can get unlimited for life to transfer trade breed whatever. Also a lot of the 3ds Pokémon games have a legendary or rare Pokémon type. Like ultra sun and moon demo, dream radar, I know there's another one. I'm very happy that you made this video so detailed for someone clueless. I appreciate the beginning teaching about how to link accounts etcetera. My heart is broken for this moment but who knows as sad as it is maybe this will with Hackers and all lead to who knows what in the future. People still play Mario kart wii. Not me but it makes me happy that so many people want to keep something they love alive even without the support of Nintendo itself. It's just not surprising but shocking somewhat that they know fans don't want this and they flat out do not care.. At least when ps3 was going down and fans screamed no, Sony listened, sad for psp but I feel for the 3ds similar to ps3. Before long it will close and people will bring out videos on what to get before its gone. Maybe you should make a video similar to this after 3ds eshop closes for ps3 preemptively. My heart is broken but it's videos like this that bring me joy in the sadness. I personally love 3ds. Never had a wii u, but if I did I'd feel similar for that. You could have wii games on there and all the legit owned emulation n64 snes games also. I find myself playing indies and pc ports or games on all platforms on switch. Not Nintendo games. On ds/3ds Nintendo all day, and whatever else. Rpg powerhouse. Plus ocarina of time is so much more fun on 3ds. I loved and played smash on the demo non stop before the game came out. You could only play the demo 15 or 25 times. So I never played anything else when that demo came out. Just it into sleep mode and charge it. Next time, whooo mega man non stop. Then smash came out and it's my favorite smash ever. Smash run should have made it to switch, not even on wii u. Unique stages and trophies on 3ds. I used smash on 3ds as my controller for smash on wii u. Don't even get me started on mario kart 7. Those 2 games is why my r button stopped working on my og 3ds. Grabbing and drifting. I could and will repair it, but I transferred it's soul into a new vessel. N3dsxl. Anywho its a shame they didn't make the whole eshop and all dlc on sale. They truly don't care about the players only money. Not weird for a big company but just think how backwards compatible they used to be. Gameboy player in nes. Super Gameboy player in snes. Gba player on GameCube. Gba player on ds/ds lite. Ds plays on 3ds. GameCube plays on wii. Wii on wii u. GameCube connects to gba. Even gb plays on gba. Ds had pictochat, clearly proving its possible to add to your hardware even outside of game. Anyway ds had download play. I grew up with 3 siblings, one of us owned mario kart ds. We all played all the time 4 players. Yes 3 shy guys but still. One of us had new super mario bros. We all played 4 player mini games non stop, and with 2 players mario vs Luigi playing the main game parkour all over getting above the pipes and above the screen just exploring and breaking the game becoming huge and destroying the whole place so it's a flat plane and 2 of us just running and flipping etcetera. Ds 1 cartridge, 4 players. So many other games had that. The physical hardware of the ds/3ds is so impressive. Mic, touch screen with a stylus, 3d camera, and selfie camera. Gyroscope controls, clam shell design which is incorporated into some gameplay/most games say something when open and closed. Even the interface on the main menu, make your own folders, easy drag and drop responsive make it 1 row or many. My favorite wallpaper is shantae, she laughs and giggles when you open sad close it. 4 ladies in bikinis. Plus all the other cool rpg wall papers that are all broody intense whatever. Even basic blue red pink. What does switch have? Basic black or basic white. They made switch so bare bones. It had Bluetooth headphone capabilities built in for years and they just randomly said hey its available now. They don't care about making the players happy anymore it's all about money, no duh I know but still. They said a while ago switch will be the last console and they want to go all digital in the future. So ideally you could download switch games to your phone or tablet and that's the hardware. I really hope that doesn't happen. They already have switch online to permanently rent games and never own them. They even do ridiculous stuff like mario 3d all stars having it on shelves and on eshop for x amount of months only. How about mario 35 Like tetris 99 Why get rid of this amazing fun game everyone loves? To accomplish what? To benefit who? Why we all loved it. I love tetris 99. Pacman one I don't mind but I never was a Pacman person to begin with. But literally, 35 people speedrunning og super mario bros. Jumping between levels, people on the first level dealing with browsers and hammer bros like what the?? How f---ing fun. How amazingly incredible a true celebration and love letter to Nintendo at its truest. Now we can forever play mario 35 just like tetris 99. Oh wait get rid of it? Why?
You're wrong about the Save Data Transfer Tool. It doesn't transfer data between 3DS Systems (that functionality is in the Setting Application that is Pre-Loaded on the 3DS). The Save Data Transfer Tool just transfers game Save Data from a physical cartridge to a digital game of the same title. That's all it does!
I could've bought 2ds with super mario maker and yellow and s.m.m. colors on it, however since I already have this and 2ds isn't foldable, maybe 10 years later I might, but not now

Also a lot of the 3ds Pokémon games have a legendary or rare Pokémon type. Like ultra sun and moon demo, dream radar, I know there's another one.
But all the shiny hunting stuff modern, skip it for the old school manipulation of og Gameboy.
For real?
th-cam.com/video/OT72fPO36dc/w-d-xo.html Look more into it but the same/similar principle applies for other Pokémon games on 3ds.
😱 That is awesome info!
I see no reason for panic. All software is already downloaded and backed up. All you have to do is to soft mode 3DS. If Nintendo does not appreciate you as 3DS customer any longer, I see no harm in modding your 3DS and uploading all software which Nintendo decided to discontinue.
I like the way you think! Mod will happen, just a question of when
3:19 thanks so much for pointing that out. 😊
Your welcome 😊
I think I’m screwed because I was planning to order an special edition new 3Ds Xl but I won’t be able to until this Saturday and then it arrives like until the 28th :/
nah your fine , just mod it and use like that or when the eshop goes down jsut mod it to where you can use data transfer then transfer the data
You had like 12 years to do so.
My only regret is not buying a New 3DS XL sooner, so it's hard to find one at a decent price. My old 3DS still works, but it's outdated
Use the account on your old 3ds and just sign in on the new one with that same account
Pain 😭
It sucks that they are shutting the eshop down. That's why I bought a few things to preserve them. Fire Emblem Fates Revelation is one of these games. I know it's not the BEST fe game in the world, but it bothers me that there would be no other way to play it after the eshop closes. It's not something I would go back to personally, but it means a lot to me that I still have it.
Right now. I'm trying to figure out a way to download the few things that I want with limited storage space. I have the galaxy 3dsxl and the problem is if you want to use a SD card. You need to undo the back apparently, and I am out of money and time to make that work. If there are any suggestions. I would love to hear them. 😊
That's not what the Save Data Transfer Tool does...
I just realized 😱 I goofed on that part of the video. Lesson learn.
Who here has played the hidden Gem Fantasylife on the 3ds
Don’t mind me, just writing ✍️ down hidden gem games to later download 😊
@@YinYangTK Highly recommend Fantasy life
Another game people should go for is Phoenix Wright 5 and 6 because they’re eshop exclusive games
I heard really good things about those games!
The Save Data Transfer Tool only transfers saves from Carts to Digitial Copies (IE the SD Card). There is no need for this application if you are just system transferring.
I just realized that mistake 😱
I was working on this video on very low sleep because of work. Thanks 😊 for the clarification.
I can do that already with mods so probably won’t.
@@YinYangTK It's not a big deal, the utility is situational TBH. I can't imagine many scenarios where someone bought the game physically and then decided to buy it again digitally and want to transfer the save.
Well my 3ds is already dying this last week I had to restart from factory settings because animal crossing new leaf said it had a memory card error please restart the system to factory settings to continue. So I did and it worked and I lost most games data but new leaf was there so yay for me
You saved the 3DS😱, you are awesome!
1 it’s not the first time I’ve had this error it’s not going to be the last time too
I'm very happy that you made this video so detailed for someone clueless.
How about mario 35
Like tetris 99
Why get rid of this amazing fun game everyone loves?
To accomplish what?
To benefit who?
Why we all loved it.
I love tetris 99.
Pacman one I don't mind but I never was a Pacman person to begin with.
But literally, 35 people speedrunning og super mario bros. Jumping between levels, people on the first level dealing with browsers and hammer bros like what the??
How f---ing fun.
How amazingly incredible a true celebration and love letter to Nintendo at its truest. Now we can forever play mario 35 just like tetris 99.
Oh wait get rid of it?
Why?
🥹 beautifully written in sharing the love of the 3DS & retro games
You're wrong about the Save Data Transfer Tool. It doesn't transfer data between 3DS Systems (that functionality is in the Setting Application that is Pre-Loaded on the 3DS). The Save Data Transfer Tool just transfers game Save Data from a physical cartridge to a digital game of the same title. That's all it does!
I goofed on that😅 , thanks for the clarification. It happens when working on this video on only 4 hours of sleep🙃
I could've bought 2ds with super mario maker and yellow and s.m.m. colors on it, however since I already have this and 2ds isn't foldable, maybe 10 years later I might, but not now
sounds like a plan😎
I cant really say I am all that impressed with this list.
Most of these games are available physically at a cheap(-er) cost, be it on 3ds or a gameboy. Since i dont care about pokemon (gameboy pokemon titles are expensive), even the exceptions dont really do it for me.
What games would you recommend?
@@YinYangTK
1st: DLC of your favourite games
-If you already like a game very much, just get more of it
2nd: good 3ds e-shop exclusives
- Level 5 (Professor Layton) created quite a few exclusives, attack of the friday monsters, crimson shroud, Liberation maiden, weapon shop de omasse. I havent played them, I can only say that the company makes good games in general and Liberation maiden is really unique on the system
- Boxboy!, Pushmo and Mario vs Donkey Kong are all alright puzzles series by nintendo, but maybe stick to 1 trilogy since you dont want to spend all your money on puzzle games. Pushmo is the least likely to return in any form i feel.
- Other nintendo titles include Dillon, pocket card jockey and sakura samurai
- wayforward made Mighty switch force and shantae, though the latter is available on switch mostly
- I think nano assault ex was pretty good
- I also like the phoenix wright series
3rd: Exclusive Games that you can find physically, but cost way less digitally
- Just go on pricecharting dot com and filter by 3ds, highest first exclude systems and versions
- Highlights include: Rhythm thief (US), Rhythm Heaven (EU) (digital only in US), Yo-kai watch 3, 7th Dragon, Project X Zone 2, Dragon Quest series, Radiant Historia perfect chronology, the Louvre 3ds guide that you can only buy physically at the actual louvre gallery, and basically ever Atlus game, most noteably Etrian Odyssey V and Shin megami tensei IV/ IV apocalypse
- Please only buy these if you have interest in them at all, dont let Fomo get to you. Most of these are JRPGs, so always ask yourself if you need another one fo those.
4th cheap and good 3ds exclusives on sale:
- Are witch and hero 3, Parascientific escape series, Sadame and Alien on the run any good? I dont know, but they have high reviews and cost like 3€ top right now, I can definetly see myself playing them long enough to make it worth it
- Please note that most atlus games and pazuru have physical versions, but are on sale in the European e-shop, so they are doubly worth it. In the US, its capcom games (like phoenix wright)
5th: other
- Virtual console: I dont know, Mole mania? I dont have any recommondations here, I just know that many of the best games are cheaper to buy physically if you can play them. Way different story on Wii u though.
- DSi ware: Mighty milky way was recommended to me, its by wayforward again
- Games that just feel right on this console, but arent exclusives: I havent played any.
Culdcept Revolt was my last game, and this had DLC.
It may be too late for me to mod my 3ds.
Never too late to mod a 3DS!
I just learn about the sale thanks to your video, went to check, watch all PKMN game are still full price…
Ohhh well I tried… Hombrew it is
I at least found shovel knight
The greed of Nintendo knows no bounds. They couldn't even discount the big name titles as a final good will gesture and thank you to the fans who supported the console...
I wish it was a bigger Sale too 😭
How is no one mentioning the classic mega man collection it’s on sale for $2.99! 😮
Right! I brought it
Noted 🧐
BoxBoy, BoxBoxBoy, ByeBye BoxBoy, Stretchmo, Crashmo, Pushmo, the 3 Ace Attorney games, Zelda, Mario, and Metroid.
Noted 🧐
Where is this mario 64 on 3ds you speak of at 9:30? Im interested.
I was thinking of the DS game sorry for the mix up😅, but still a good game to buy. Search for Mario 64 DS.
@YinYangTK Ohh yeah that game is sweet, too bad its not on the 3ds eshop or id by it :/
I'm just going to buy mega man collection which is 3 dollars right now and sonic 2 and Pokemon TCG for Gameboy and some themes. Rip Nintendo 3ds eShop
3DS eShop 🫡
Thanks for the memories
All the ace attorney games are like 3 bucks on the e shop download them now
I got them before the eShop closed down THANKS!
Won't let me link my account, says it's already linked. I've never linked any before.
Dillon's Dead Heat Breakers.
Noted🧐
I salute You Ying Yang TK
I got it like week one.I'm an ambassador. I feel let down by Nintendo.
We 3DS ambassadors know the pain. 😭
There is no Pokémon pinball on the 3ds eshop
I was thinking of Pokémon puzzle games 🤣 my bad 😅
But still get the Pokémon 3ds games
Definitely
alternatively just do piracy and don't reward nintendo for being awful about preserving their software
This. Modding your 3DS is easy as hell to do and anyone who hasn't jumped on it yet really should do so.
It’s still wrong. Maybe after the shutdown but buy if you can
hmmm perhaps its time to MOD
Well im too late to this video it’s already March 27 😭
You still have until 5PM Pacific Time to purchase anything from the eShop! 👀
You forgot to mention the dsiware games
Oh my gosh 😱, yes those games are a must! thank you in reminding me!
@@YinYangTK since I'm not able to afford all the games I'm basically going to be buying those and some of system themes
Do any of you know how I can fix my 3ds it won’t turn on and when I press the power button nothing happens, there’s not even a light
Sounds like a dead battery.
hope your 3DS gets fixed. Replace the battery, hope it helps!
Lufia 3, The only Lufia game that got a port
Got it! Thanks!
I know a lot of people didn't like it, but fire emblem fates 3rd story dlc should be downloaded before the shop shuts down
I did! Thanks for the recommendation!
May I note that the friend code exploit is fucking ez
😆
Just downloaded pokemon bank on my main 3DS 😅😅
Nice 👍
That video was going nowhere until you mentioned Lord of Magna : Maiden Heaven. Sorry for my no filter intervention 🤷♂️ Oh and Kid Icarus is "ridiculement" great
Lord of Manga: Maiden is so underrated! Glad you enjoyed it😆
Plus Kid Icarus Uprising 😊
Who knows how to mod the Wii U. You see I have heard you CAN mod the 3DS, but what about the Wii U? Does anyone know how to do it?
Also will I still be able to mod both 3DS and Wii U in best quality, even after the closing?
Did you find a video of anybody on how to mod the WiiU?
Great video and thank you for saying Super Mario Land is good, I so much prefer it to the sequel !
Glad you enjoyed it! I like that game too😆! I would download all virtual console games!
Just downloaded Tokyo Crash Mobs that game is Crazy 😜 Fun😀
Thats a good game to play!
Would you still be able to download games online on ur modded 3ds??
As long as you have the latest firmware of luma3ds you should be good. I can confirm I got all the dlc I needed last night with no issues
Thanks for the tip!
Can you make another one for wii u?
Thank you for the comment! Much appreciated! Glad you liked the 3DS video. I will try to do the WiiU video 😆 before March 27, 2023 closure. Wish me luck!
nice video bud, ty
Thank you so much! Much appreciated! 😊
Title is really misleading as it doesn't really cover games that will truly disappear once the eshop is down. Appreciate the save transfer tool though
I was on a deadline job wise, but if I had more time the game list would very long and would take forever to finish LOL. Thanks for the comment!
The switch online is garbage compare to the wii u / 3ds eshop. Why make payments for games you'll never own? The eshop you buy what you like and you own it for as long as the device is functioning.
Exactly, own the games, no cloud games subscriptions
It’s not really last chance though, is it with CFW 😂
🤣
Agreed
there not going to put ds on switch they would have to re work all the games there 2 screens all the games on the online are roms
Sad but true
Can you still buy games after the e shop with game cartridges?
Physical games yes
Yes but Nintendo does not get money from those so you might as well just mod your 3ds at that point and save money.
only physical games but maybe its time to mod the 3ds
First step - get a job and get funds. Second step - add funds to your Nintendo account.
Sounds like a plan 😎
You can download the games, you just can't buy more stuff.
If you link your switch nintendo ID and your nnid you can add money to your switch and merge accounts to get money on your 3ds
You also can't redeem keys/download codes if anyone have those.
Its MOD time!
This might be hard to believe but there are Nintendo fans who don’t like Pokemon.
I don’t believe you that’s impossible
@@triforcepokeguy It is, in fact, true. I’ll even go one further: there a people who think Pokemon games are designed lazily and are just a way to pry money away from children, their parents, and people who are stuck in their youth.
@@leeartlee915 okay but have you considered
@@triforcepokeguy Considered… that Pokémon is actually good? Yeah, thought about it and realized that’s crazy thinking. “Babies first RPG” is not for me.
@@leeartlee915 Fair point.
sad to see them go forever, another reason as to why PC are master race across several generation. Even more sad if it only exclusive console that is locked behind shop that may no longer able to grab. Which bring up another reason to have physical copy of the game and not digital or cloud version.
Physical & Digital Games ✅ yes
Cloud gaming ❌ no
Hshop. Your welcome.
👀
I’m waiting for fire emblem conquest in the mail so I can play some levels and download birthright at a discount. Lmao stress
I hope you get it soon! Time is ticking! 😆
or we just homebrew 😎
Its time to MOD!
It’s already gone
😭 gone but not forgotten
Mario kart 64 isnt on 3ds
I was talking about Mario 64 3DS game 😅
It can be on a modded new 3ds. Old 3ds won’t run 64 acceptibly
Aaa but it will be expensive to do it
Maybe time to mod the 3DS
Pour one out for the homies, the eshop is gone...
🍻
Guys! One week until piracy is moral!
Is only gona make ppl look to repo carts or worse ways to play childhood favorites i wish they would of done more with digital ds games on 3ds Nintendo dropped all the stars on this one
Very true. Retro games need to available to everyone in a cheap price without all the BS overpricing or BS restrictions
nah people will probably just hack their 3ds
This is fine, nintendo wants to shut it down and they dont care at all about preservation, i say mod away and repo away nintendo doesnt want our money them we dont give it to them, that simple.
No More Eshop !!
😭
just mod your 3ds, it takes like an hour max
Is there a how to mod your 3DS video? Asking for a friend 🤔
@@YinYangTK There are literally hundreds of videos.
It may surprise you but there are still gamers who like their games to be legitimate and buy them without cheating
@@nekokun7769 Yes but once the console is unsupported your better off modding it instead of wasting your money on overpriced used copys. And the games play the exact same.
@@nekokun7769 If you’re buying them digitally, what’s the difference? It’s literally just 1’s and 0’s on your hardware.
Nooooo
😭
Guys, just pirate. 👌🏻
Don’t steal. Maybe it might be better after it’s gone but buy while you can
You are onto something.... very interesting and currently thinking about it
I’m boycotting Nintendo this has gone too far!!!
Stay Strong✊
There's a lot of people asking about modded 3ds and the eshop. If you have lumas3ds updated to the current firmware, you can update and hop on the eshop. Theyre not going to turn down your money lol.
hmmm it is inevitable , gamers want those games!
So the usual
I was honest😊
Just homebrew
Gotta get the right equipment first! Thanks for the tip!
