The classic Pokémon games on the virtual console are definitely worth owning! I replayed Crystal last year for the first time since my childhood and it still holds up.
Shiny hunted celebi and extreme speed dratini. Took forever but finally got theme. Cloned them and transferred them up. May. Try to shiny hunt some of the other legendaries and transfer them up.
Dream Radar works with Black/White & B2/W2 as a way to get extra Legendary Pokémon with their Hidden Abilities or Alternate Forms. Very cheap for the amount of Legendaries you get. I'd consider it a must buy if you have any of those games or plan to get them in the future. Regardless of whether the game itself interests you it is a VERY EASY way to acquire Legendaries with Hidden Abilities or Alternate Forms.

I really wish Gen 3 games had come to the Nintendo Switch Online service. Idk what it is, but I’ve been having a hankering for Gen 3’s travel through Hoenn instead of ORAS. Maybe it’s the sprites from the time, or knowing how the physical and special stats and types work now, as opposed to what I knew as a kid. I really want to play those games just once more.
Don't stress about it buy and support these games while you can but if you miss out you can always mod your 3ds and get everything anyways no sense in worrying that you can't pay for old games any more that nintendo don't want money from any ways considering they are just shutting the shop down.
This video doesn't really explain the Dream Radar very well. I highly recommend Dream Radar if you have Pokemon Black 2 and/or White 2, since it was designed to connect to those games. Think of it less like a separate game and more like a DLC that grants you access to some hidden ability pokemon, gen 4 legendaries depending what cartridge you have inserted. (example: inserting Platinum will allow you to catch Giratina, and SoulSilver will let you catch Lugia) There are a couple of pokemon you can access like Beldum via special code inputs, (think like a cheat code in old games) And of course Dream Radar is the only way to obtain the alternate forms of Thunderus, Tornadus, & Landerus. All that said, if you don't have Black2/White2 and don't intend to play them, don't bother getting Dream Radar. But if you intend to get yourself a cartridge at some point go ahead and grab it because it's cheap.

There's also dlc for pokémon mystery dungeon gates to infinity, but it's alread gone in Europe, and possibly Australia as well. If you can still get it in America, do so before it's too late there as well.
It's unfortunate that in order to get Transporter you also need to have at least Pokemon X or later for the 3DS... Was planning on getting them later after defeating the earlier gens but I suppose buying X means not having to worry about it down the line. 😣 Just something to keep in mind for peeps using their 3DS's to just play earlier gens for now...

But in order to ensure I could get Pokemon Transporter, I had to buy at least Gen 6 OR later, because Pokemon Bank will not even allow you in to download Transporter if you don't have a Gen 6 or later game. You can add funds through the website online, as long as it’s the same Nintendo account connected to your 3ds :) you just can’t add funds directly from the 3ds, if that makes sense
You can merge your account on your switch, add the funds on your switch, and it will be usable on the 3ds eshop. It must be your main 3ds, and signed in with your Nintendo account.
@@Johnsechuan You don't need a Switch just a Nintendo account, which you can make online. You have to link your Nintendo ID to your account, then add funds onto your Nintendo account and then merge the funds, it's a pain but you can do it.
I never knew if romhacks or CIAs (Idk what yall call it but basically pokemon games pirated on 3ds) could transfer pokemon from the game itself to bank so I stayed away from it, and also I dont know how to buy a new 3ds in 2023 without being scammed lol
Shame you can't add funds because I really wanted to get Mega Man IV and V on Gameboy before the eShop closes. I can't get them. I’m hoping this applies to DLCs as well. None of them are on the eshop app and you have to download them directly from the in game menus.

I have Black 1/2 and X but I think you only need to advance either game until you acquire the index to use the Bank/Transporter.

That’s cool! I found a website that claims the demo isn’t available in Japan anymore, but is still available for North America and Europe still. I’m not sure if that means Japanese console specifically or not though

Same. Still thinking about getting Red (because glitches) and Silver (because version exclusives). Trying to justify dropping $50 on all of them
@Maddux Nagel the last thing I need is either Red, Blue, or Yellow. I just want an origin mark when transferring, although I'm not sure which version
@@kevinbriones1431 If you don't care about glitching go with Yellow, you can get all three starters as well as some extra Pokémon

For the demo, you can’t transfer it to Ultra moon or Ultra Sun?

No unfortunately you need Sun or Moon first to transfer all the way up.

You can add funds through the website online, as long as it’s the same Nintendo account connected to your 3ds :) you just can’t add funds directly from the 3ds, if that makes sense
You can merge your account on your switch, add the funds on your switch, and it will be usable on the 3ds eshop. It must be your main 3ds, and signed in with your Nintendo account.

@@Johnsechuan You don't need a Switch just a Nintendo account, which you can make online. You have to link your Nintendo ID to your account, then add funds onto your Nintendo account and then merge the funds, it's a pain but you can do it.
I never knew if romhacks or CIAs (Idk what yall call it but basically pokemon games pirated on 3ds) could transfer pokemon from the game itself to bank so I stayed away from it, and also I dont know how to buy a new 3ds in 2023 without being scammed lol
Shame you can't add funds because I really wanted to get Mega Man IV and V on Gameboy before the eShop closes. I can't get them.
Edit: I guess when I had added funds to my Switch I guess those funds appeared on my 3DS eShop too so I got to download those games. Went ahead and downloaded Pokemon Crystal too.

@@Fundores I just hope that I can access my Pokémon Bank account. I didn't renew as the subscription expired at the end of February. I didn't see the need to buy another year subscription.
Oh dang, I would imagine you can still? I saw a bunch of news articles recently about how Nintendo is making the subscription free for Pokémon bank? I’m not 100% sure about what that entails, but maybe it’ll still give you access in the future

Originally, i was going to mention that you didn't talk about the pokemon tranfer app that get from the main bank page. You need it to get pokemon from gen 5 up to bank.
The 3DS is the superior Pokemon machine.

That’s fun. I have a sealed smash bros for the 3ds that I’m gonna keep sealed. I know it’s not worth a ton, but it’s something kinda neat to keep in the collection lol
@@Fundores definitely! I like sealed things normally booster boxes but I have a couple of sealed 3DS/switch games I get you! ..btw I won that offer ! I paid quite a lot too ! I’ll maybe keep it sealed for a bit considering I have the digital copy on my 3DS now 😑
