    There's no intimacy in these shots, nothing that me want to pause more than a couple of seconds. That's what an 85mm lens does. That's a portrait lens, not meant to stay far for our own comfort, but to add compression or reduce the depth of field or frame tightly to be even more selective (less of the envirronment, more of the facial expressions). When using it like a wide angle and so standing too far, it makes the scenes feel disconnected, there's nothing engaging.
