Honestly... I just went out and grabbed the free box ones and am using them for now until something better comes along, slowly upgrading them over time. For newcomers, it's a kind of jack of all trades armour set... not bad to use if you like experimenting with the classes. Also, again, being free (and coming from a side-quest you can do anyways), you'll probably get these before any other armour. Heck, you'll probably want to boost these a bit just to get the necessary BP to continue through the game anyways... so might as well. Sure, if you want to min-max, you can get the other armours... but even then, we'll get more and better units eventually... so whatever you get now will be a good placeholder... maybe even worth holding onto for an alt or if you try another class later.
my problem with all this is if you are a player that plays different chars for different classes, or even different classes full stop you have to either compromise on a middle ground set or pay a fortune to make tec/rng/mel oriented units. Making units go +40 was a bad design choice
I'm going double vialto and using augments for damage stats + one of the 3 world qual de armors only have to build 5 units at that point rather than 9 and work on the other 4 if I get anything extra
Base PSO2 had the same problem if you were going for offence on different builds, so I guess it continues. Personally I'm building HP and PP which anything can use.
Imo the biggest problem with units is the dismal exp they give when fed to other units for enhancement, we need something like the silver/gold primm for units.
I'm just using the 3 free ones. I think Vialto is the safest since I main tmg/knuckles, but I like to aim purely for potency even if other stats suffer and when bouncer arrives I will have to adjust my augs anyway. All I care about is my main class I want to use and the rest is for fun, so I'm not investing into anything else beyond the minimum.
Thank GOD I was looking everywhere for info on Arga/Belta/Sheza to figure out if I could obtain more through playing. Probably gonna have to hold off on buying because they're so damn costly.
Any opinions on Geant armor? I play Fi/Gu and I'm building for potency and pp. Don't really care about hp or damage resist since I like fighting bosses that hit for like 500 damage anyway lol.
The NGS gear is/will be better than the base PSO2 gear anyway. It was always intended to be this way. This is to make NG have its own progression and not just piggy back off the original forever. PSO2 gear is just a nice head start.
Hey, I saw you before in ship 1 lol, anyways.... I think you forgot to say that Alts Secreta's minimum potency floor increase does not work on armors and it does only works when applying it as a weapon's augment. Cheers!!
Sub'd, idk why it seems to be an impairment for other YTers to relay coherent information over about this game but it's obvious that's not an issue for you. I watched a vid where the guy was going to explain how to "farm meseta" and in reality there was no farm to explain. He was just uploading content for his views, I'm level 20/20 and ofc have premium set. That's the farm, having premium set. Anyways, thanks for being genuine and considerate of our time.
When you explain why you use vialto you touched a big doubt of mine. I thought that resurgir was the best series of weapons i could pick as knuckle main but after some testing i understood that the potential damage bonus you get only apply to the first normal hit (not PA) and deals less damage in comparison with weapon action counter attack. Am i wrong?
No the buff applies to everything it just doesn't work with weapon actions, hu and fi really shouldn't be using resurgir unless it's for multi-weapons.
I actually think the Blue armor was intended for "ranged" classes outside Force and Techter. The PP cost of techniques is so incredibly low it's surprising. PAs on the other hand are expensive. The Force can just keep slapping techniques out non-stop. I think they actually intended for the yellow armor to be for Techter/Force because they don't have the same utility to suddenly stop damage and parry while charging techniques. Give em a little leeway so they can use all those neat close range AoE attacks. That'd be my thoughts behind it... Would explain why they match the class colors as well.
Meseta constraints aside, i see a lot of people don't go above +10 for unit armor, is there a reason? Like the klaus units you have from base pso2. I'm probably wrong, but i thought units gave more affix slots the more you upgrade them? i'm just now getting a grasp on the how affixes work since i played pso2, i never got to the point where affixes became the norm. But...with BP req's now required to "progress" that may change?
soo.. is it better to put all around potency augment on armor than those specific type like (melee, range) potency? since youre not going to swap them as you change class???
There is a really good augment you can farm for called: dread keeper 1&2. Dread keeper 2 is of course the beater of the two and is selling for 80k a pop on certain ships. You can get the augment by killing veteran lvl15 enemies. They have a chance to drop it but your odds increase if you kill them in a 4man group.
@Keroppi i have 2 questions, first: what is floor potency and whats the difference between that and regular potency, second: the PP means additional max pp or pp regeneration?
Floor potency is minimum damage Potency is max damage Adding Floor Potency will turn your 10-20 into 11-20 while adding Potency will turn it to 10-21 Adding +6 PP goes to your max PP, PP regeneration speeds up the regen. This is atlest how i understand it as i was told, if i got anything wrong please correct me this is 2nd hand knolage.
Im really tempted to start upgrading the 4* units I have... but I really don't feel a big need since Im at 1363 bp with just my old pso2 units 😂 and there doesn't seem to be any content that requires me to go beyond... and knowing that we will get better gear anyway too. Othewise, great guide for brand new players, especially getting clarification on the difference between regular Qual de armor and the box ones
Hey, thanks for the advice. I have a question for you: What is the best way to enhance your armors? Eg for weapons we would focus on farming silver primm sword. What is your take on this? Thanks for the help in advance!
Every thing that I've seen on enhancing so far in the game suggests silver and gold primm swords are your best bet for easier enhancement. They are farmable via silver and gold enemy kills. Also farm those mineral materials. Kronos karastrophy has a great mineral material route farm to do daily video.
Unfortunately the only method you can really do to enhance armor is to just chuck 2 star Tzvia's that are +20 into them, you can save up a lot of 3 stars and do that too but they don't drop as often, getting 4 star armor to +40 is going to cost you a pretty penny
I am just using my old gear and weapons to save up on meseta and resources since they are currently more than enough. Waiting for 5 stars and above to come out later in the year. Save 4 stars as enhancement mats. 3 stars and below I just sell to vendor minus the gold and silver swords. For new players that never played old PSO2, my suggestion is to level up just the weapon to your main class, slap on only 100% guaranteed augments and save your enhancements. Don't use any enhancement boosts until better weapons come out and then use 90% augments on them. Save gold swords to exchange for the 10% enhancement boosts. And if you have to, only unlock potential to level 1 in weapons since this costs a lot. The enemies currently are not to strong that you can't handle with just lev 1 potential. Also maybe just enhance armors to lev 20.
While I can understand the logic, I don’t know that I agree. Not only does maxing out properly give a goal to keep playing for but being stronger means more time efficient farming for the rest of the months until the big update.
Max out the personal drop rate bonus from Reg Mag, or wait for Reg Drop rate to be max, then max out your personal drop rate...farm, and these drop like candy!!! Just from maxing out personal drop rate, I have too many armors for my stash, I literally had to sell them like 40-50 x 4* armor for about 65-M each.
Kero is it a good idea to use a 3 star armor that has lvl5 afix than using qual de armor belta with no afix? Cause that's what i did and im not sure if its a good idea or not.
ohh god xD then i wasted my messeta enhancing them up to +40 cause it was Fixa Enthusia lvl5. i thought it was worth to sacrifice survivability with PP recov since i'm a Fo/Te
@@koreangoku Yeah but Isn't that just the 1% of all 3 pieces adding up together? I mean like back in pso2 you'd equip al circaray or saiki unit set and get a bonus on top of all that
So if it shows melee +28%, whats the atk stat in my character info mean?, does it includes the 28% atk up or i should add 28% of whatever atk stat it shows to find my real atk?
i have a question, maybe i'm just stupid but, i already broke 2 or the 3 red boxes (the ones blocked by drones) and i never got those armor and i'm pretty sure that i didn't scrap them or enhance anything with them. are there more crates like that and i just broke the wrong ones? or it's just a gg with those for me?
How do you get rid of exces items that fill up your inventory fast? I would like to grind day in and day out, but i just dont have the space in inventory.
hi great video , what do u think is the best between all the armor preset flexa, they seem all to impact PP , but im not sure which exactly to use , pp reduc. offensive pp . natural PP . or a mix would love your advice on that
If it is % baced then you start at 210 hp take 100 dmg and the buff is down to +2.5 (+2 if they round down) After the +90 hp you would be down to 200 hp with +3 potency, its not a massive change but its there
Very informative as usual! Any idea how the Novel pso2 stuff from the badge shop compares to NGS stuff? I only played PSO2 for a little bit before NGS and I managed to get Novel +35 weapon and Novel +10 units, with their 5 basic augments, nothing else. I'm currently around 1240bp at lv17. Havent really needed more damage or defense, but I'm not sure how big the difference is compared to transfered endgame pso2 gear or ngs gear.
I had moderately affixed Klauz and Trailblazer units (the best base units in the game but not the best affixes), and I needed to replace my Trailblazer with Qual De Armor enhanced to about +30 before I noticed I could take one more hit from bosses before being downed. So honestly if you don't need defence, save up your resources for the next bit of content instead of spending on the current set of NGS units. (For example it may be worth it for Force or Overload Fighter which are squishy, but you probably won't notice if you play Hunter or Techter.)
@@studiesinflux1304 Yeah, I'm playing a Hunter atm and slowly leveling up the subclasses, gonna save up, it'd be nice to know when are 5* gonna be released but unless I get a very good cattleya weapon with prefix, I feel it'd be such a waste to spend tons of meseta, mats and capsules for a 5% increase in damage when my current weapon costed me 0.
Wouldn't it be best to always use the special armour? Even if you can only get 1 it's still gonna boost damage slightly- I feel like with I-frames from parry and dodge that defense really doesn't seem that important. Pointing out that your yellow one had +3 potency vs the +1 of the special seemed weird, You can get the same enhancements on the special so it would be +4 vs +3 Right? Thanks for the vid though I actually didn't know the armour had different t stats or that there were uniques
The special armour is currently considered the best, however the cost for those units may be out of many peoples budget! However if you can afford them and don't mind it being outclassed when 5 star units come out then its fine.
@@keroppi ah I more meant use 1 that is free then if you can afford more happy days and if not then not (unless can you only use 3 of the same) Yeah, any idea when they plan to add content?
Do you think augment exchange worth it? I noticed some of them might need to exchange like mastery. But material requirement is kinda high. Grinders and ores are much easier to farm since the last maintenance though so I get back to consider if it’s worth it.
I feel like it depends on how much you grind monsters and what you desire. Theres a few 70-100 capsules in inventory i have, and i can use those to exchange for something just a little better. Most of the time i only find out how much I've gotten later on.
I wouldn't use big augments like that unless really bored, speed running, or if they announce a system to cut and paste augments between pieces (like base PSO2's augment transfer pass system)
Do you have any tips for upgrading these armors? As far as I know, there aren’t any silver/gold sword counterparts for the armor so upgrading them has been breaking my bank.
stack 2* tviza armors that u farm to +11 and use them as fodder for your 4*, and if you get your 4* duplicates and they dont sell higher then 12-13 k on the market use them as fodder too (exact same items give bonus enhancement exp). Thats gow i got my units to +40.
I'm pretty sure picking a unit with a good fixa is way more important than which passive bonuses the unit provides. At least with the units we have available now
*Maybe you already talked about it, but hunter's skill tree, please...and techter.* Currently, my ship(thorn) most things are cheap. Have to get used to you saying PP all the time 😂. When you farm, people, make sure you do food buffs and mag before you go.
I enchanted all the red box armors to 40 with 4 level 2 and 3 augments. At this point. I'm beyond help I guess. Are you going to make a 5 star armor guide when they come out ? I will hold off on enchanting anything until your guide 🙏
I'll be honest, I did not know the armor units base stats were different from each other.
lol they're just rainbow for fun? :P
Kerroppi: They not gonna drop like candy
Me: *looking at them in my inventory
Yeah I had a bunch of them in my inventory and managed to sell some of them.
To be fair you only start getting loads of them when you have access to rank 2 areas or at least Resol forest anyways 😂 when lvl grinding to 20
I like to mix the different armor types. I currently use the qual de armor: normal and belta as well as the vialto armor.
same here about the 2 Qual de Armor. Specifically Arga & Belta. Depending on which weapon I'm using alongside my Ranged Weapons.

@@koreangoku Yeah but Isn't that just the 1% of all 3 pieces adding up together? I mean like back in pso2 you'd equip al circaray or saiki unit set and get a bonus on top of all that
Hmm you got me considering to bring my Cras series armor to NGS
I Brough Klauz weapons and units. At level 17 now, I'm not in any way over powered or tanky even with them.
The units are good to have, but at+21? it offers equal defense to my Klauz unit.
So if it shows melee +28%, whats the atk stat in my character info mean?, does it includes the 28% atk up or i should add 28% of whatever atk stat it shows to find my real atk?
What abt weapons? Resurgir or vialto or cattleya one?
btw potency floor does Not work on units it wont increase your minimum dmg . Only on weapons !
I can't find the answer to this anywhere... Do you know if the Gunner's stylish roll will activate the Dynamo Unit potential from Resurgir weapons?
i think No,stylish roll is weapon action not step dodge
Using +40 weapon and 3 +40 units with all of them affixed will give you +1400bp in total
Does it matter even if only 1 star unit for armor like primm armor but +40 with augments that can increase bp?
how do we even find it on the shop i dont see the qual armor listed
Just search the name (make sure spelling is correct) or set the category to armor>rarity setting to 4* and search by price.
How can you sell/open a shop on the personal shop? I tried b4 but it wont let me, do you have to have a certain item to do it?
You have to have purchased premium membership in order to sell items on the personal shop
Thx for the heads up I thought that the armor with the highest mark in the shop was the best because I was kinda use to the armor on normal pso2
i have a question, maybe i'm just stupid but, i already broke 2 or the 3 red boxes (the ones blocked by drones) and i never got those armor and i'm pretty sure that i didn't scrap them or enhance anything with them. are there more crates like that and i just broke the wrong ones? or it's just a gg with those for me?
There are 113 red crates. 3 of them give you armor, the rest give you Meseta or SG.
How do you get rid of exces items that fill up your inventory fast? I would like to grind day in and day out, but i just dont have the space in inventory.
Storage lol
Sell items you don't need by converting it to cash. Characters also have a drop storage where items go too if your inventory is full.
hi great video , what do u think is the best between all the armor preset flexa, they seem all to impact PP , but im not sure which exactly to use , pp reduc. offensive pp . natural PP . or a mix would love your advice on that
We don't really need extra copies though right? Unless you're planning on using them for multiple characters.
When it says high hp I'm pretty sure it means full hp so adding more hp doesn't increase your potency
If it is % baced then you start at 210 hp take 100 dmg and the buff is down to +2.5 (+2 if they round down)
After the +90 hp you would be down to 200 hp with +3 potency, its not a massive change but its there
@@benw7616 true but if your good you don't get hit and healing is fast
@@studiesinflux1304 Yeah, I'm playing a Hunter atm and slowly leveling up the subclasses, gonna save up, it'd be nice to know when are 5* gonna be released but unless I get a very good cattleya weapon with prefix, I feel it'd be such a waste to spend tons of meseta, mats and capsules for a 5% increase in damage when my current weapon costed me 0.
whats the best way to upgrade armor?
@@keroppi ah I more meant use 1 that is free then if you can afford more happy days and if not then not (unless can you only use 3 of the same)
Yeah, any idea when they plan to add content?
@@Opalthira gotcha that makes sense, I assume they can't roll on the special or if they could you'd have to be stupid lucky :P thanks for the help!
fixa termina is bugged, it gives potancy with crit potancy.
Wait what special crates you talking about? I only have Belta. Glad you also mentioned its 1 per account, i locked mine.
Unless i sold it.....
The crates are once per account. The items you can get from them, however, can be farmed.
Thanks!
@@painwheel_1337 thanks! Is +11 tzvia armor the best fodder math-wise or will getting them to +20 be better?
Can you add Fixas later to units or do they have to drop with them?
They have to drop with them.
What about Sheza armor?
what about fighters? im guessing yellow too but im a fghter sub gunner simply for the pp regen ability lol
if you want pp regen go force as sub
Good video.
Can I use my trailblazer units?
So is there any armor that increases ranged damage?
Yes, there is the boxed armours and geant armours.
@@keroppi ok thanks. Trying to figure out what to go for as a Gunner
Now all we need now is some affix recommendations
@@Opalthira how about armor
Nice video
How about the three Qual de Armor found in red container all around the region?
and some people go for 3 star with like +5 preset is that worth in the long run?
I'm pretty sure picking a unit with a good fixa is way more important than which passive bonuses the unit provides. At least with the units we have available now
@@AcrossTheSea12 so going 2/3 stars is viable now? also what fixa is best?
@@mohamedsaid2227 crit chance and potency are the best, generally. Crit chance is strong because it always rolls max damage range plus 20% at base
By "it" I mean when you crit that's how the damage is calculated. Normally, your outgoing damage rolls between 75%-100% of your potential dmg
@@AcrossTheSea12 i dont think there is crit chance preset for units
I'ma go for yellow armor
*Maybe you already talked about it, but hunter's skill tree, please...and techter.*
Currently, my ship(thorn) most things are cheap.
Have to get used to you saying PP all the time 😂.
When you farm, people, make sure you do food buffs and mag before you go.
I’m so confused how did you get armor like legs and arms etc???
Its from Base PSO2. (Old Gear)
back, legs and arms armour is from base pso2, they had different designs and it means they can only be equipped in the specific slot
Thanks
Man I really wish they made dailies and other things ship locked and not account locked.
Just all qual, the game gives you everything you need to avoid damage. Evades, parrys and guard frames galore.
is there any bonus for equipping 3 same colour armor?
No set bonus. You can mix and match.
@@keroppi alright thnk you sensei 🙇🏻♂️
I enchanted all the red box armors to 40 with 4 level 2 and 3 augments. At this point. I'm beyond help I guess. Are you going to make a 5 star armor guide when they come out ? I will hold off on enchanting anything until your guide 🙏
Yes when the 5 star units are released I will cover them!
Thank you for the vid! Quick question. Does the "Fixa Natura Lv.1" go higher as you + the item? Or do you need god RNG to get it on the armour at +5?
You need to be lucky to get a higher level, they don't go up as you enhance them at all unfortunately :(
You need god RNG and get the level 5 Fixa. It does not get stronger as you enhance the unit/ weapon.
That makes me a sad panda. This is Diablo 3 primal weapons all over again! Haha.
Tbh i use the units you get from the red boxes because i am too lazy
5:30 1 per aaccount and me who didnt now get rid of them :'v
