The R32 put performance car manufacturers around the world on notice. The NSX forced Ferrari to innovate, grow and stop treating its customers like they were doing them the favor by building and selling the car. The R35 combined the equivalent technological advancements, reliability, and world beating performance of both. All 3 cars initiated a paradigm shift as result of their existence. LEGENDS!
2023 R35 owner here - your work is amazing - my computer screen saver is full of your work - The Sunset pic really captures the emotion we all feel. Well done !
You've represented Nissan to the utmost my guy. My first import I fell in love with back in high school I saw for sale was a red '91 Nissan 180SX. Unfortunately, I couldn't convince my parents to help me out in purchasing it so I settled for my granny's '85 box Nissan Sentra 😅. However, I digress the Skyline to me is the pinnacle of automotive excellence that was made to be learned then driven. When I learned that Nissan would be retiring it's production of 'Godzilla' I immediately reflected back to when music geniuses Daft Punk announced their split up. Certainly understandable after all the years of hits after hits, the same can be said with Nissan's assembly line of the GT-R. To sum it all up, Larry you've made your mark in Nissan's history.
Great work as usual Larry! What an honour it is to see this R35 off by one of the best car photographers in history. Thank you so much for making this video!
This is great, Larry. I'm glad that your love for cars translates into your photography and that people like those from Nissan sees that too. Awesome video!
Thanks Larry for presenting all those feelings from our beloved R35 GT-R great shots Great work Keep on doing your lovely work and we can keep enjoying!!!!
Love the content Larry!! I think this is the best type of video to make for one of the more emotional photo shoots you’ve been invited to do!! Keep living the dream
yes please more technical videos about photography and video. we love how you shoot and love learning those aspects as well, if not more! I have learned a lot from you.
No one could have done it better... No one! You and your team has an eye second to none when It comes to car photograhy... And it shows so clearly how much you love cars!
Great job man. Glad they had a fanboi do the shoot, and so glad it was you as you seem to be supremely talented. The shot with the sunset spoke to me man and made me emotional. We may not see another, and if we do, I hope you’re there to shoot it. Couldn’t be happier to have found your video, well done, and please make more content like this.
Larry. Thank you. Loved this format. Doing this occasionally to show us how you approach a shoot is great thanks for the insights to stuff I know nothing about More of this on top of the usual thank you.
As a Professional photographer myself, I can so appreciate your work... while I specialize more in events, I still love cars and it's pretty rare to have access to an amazing car and my time and conditions to do it... but your work is very inspirational. I would love to see this style of shoot again, but with some more of the "vision" behind it as well as why the technical selections and lighting you choose as well as some of the settings to see you working through the shot process to the final image. Thanks for this share!
You're the man Larry. I have my perception but then you give me a real In depth of perception and I appreciate it. Man, and I also appreciate your love for cars.
Thanks for this awesome send-off. I remember when it was rumored to come out. Watching the Nurburgring video was amazing, back then. One day, I will have a GT-R in my car collection.
that sunset shot is pretty epic, well done. I'd probably photoshop out the drivers' heads and whatever the top of the building that is just peeking at the left side of the horizon but you're the pro and maybe it adds to the wabisabi-ness. it's a stunning shot either way and the Nissan guys must've been stoked.
Every time I see you photographing. It inspires me. I always love the content when you show us you photographing and working in the scene. That's the content I wanna see more you photographing cars.
“You touched my heart You touched my soul You changed my life And all my goals Goodbye my lover Goodbye my friend You have been the one You have been the one for me “
GTR is my absolute Favorite vehicle on 4 wheels ever. Your taste with the Z , R32 , R34 is my perfect garage also. Wish one day to drive one here in the states now that they're slowly becoming legal. Great video per usual Larry, best in the biz!
Awesome story Larry! You are truly blessed to be on such an iconic journey, hand in hand or, hand in steering wheel with this legend and all the way from infancy to riding off into the sunset! I wish I had been on the scene and even had the opportunity to offer my music or mixes to the soundtrack. It is still to this day one of my favorite cars ever and I do hope that things flow in the direction of owning one of the last of them! I actually wanted to write a personal letter to Makoto Uchida and beg him to not end it now! Hopefully they can extend the builds a bit longer! I feel it would be a mistake not to, as there are still many younger buyers desiring this beauty! What are your personal feelings about this era coming to an end? BTW, it goes without saying that the photography was also awesome!
I remember Kawabata won D1GP championship for 3rd time in 2015 Using R35 GT-R and also 2018 Solo run championship of D1GP as well with Trust Racing in Japan with Toyo Tires as well.
I was looking down while I started the video in tv…then was like, wait did I open a throwback DDE video because of the intro sound 😅. Larry great video; wouldn’t mind more like these. That black 300Z was sick too.
@larrychenphoto this style of video has a flow where we get to go with you on the experience with you in HD and enjoy the pictures, process and story. You are my inspiration to make photography part of my income and this video has really showed me how much of an impact a picture and a person with a passion for a camera can make. Thank you for sharing your passion and keep on inspiring
Thank you is all I can say... These beautiful images of our ultimate object of love! Thank you! But also so very sad this is the final send off of such an automotive icon, the masterpiece of our time... Heart broken...
I'd argue... probably the best "all around car" ever made. The reliability, aftermarket support, pop culture, daily driver/weekend warrior, mild to wild builds, street cred, and living by the term "if it ain't broke" don't fix it. 🖤 Automotive perfection imo.
I'm a Porsche guy and owner, I watch your stuff regularly. But man, I have always loved Skylines. I will have one someday. I'm sad to see the R35 go. I hope a new R36 is in the works.
I watched this car launched first time in my country Indonesia and it looks so good, crazy how 17 years later i still can't afford this thing. it such a beautiful car with crazy power.
Love the shoot Larry and all your work is such a high level. One suggestion would be is to touch on how iconic the Godzilla really is. It would truly help the viewer who don't know the story. Sad to see the Skyline go away. Great job.
They’ve been saying R35 was going away for years, guess it’s finally happening… Don’t get me wrong, I love the vehicles, but I love hearing the stories that accompany them. I remember when it launched and I remember the video about its creation. Never thought I’d be able to get one, but it was finally coming to the US. Kinda sad to see it go, but hopefully there will be a worthy successor one day. Great job, Larry!
Love your content Larry have been a Nissan fan boy too since 2004. I have owned 2 S30's 1 S130 and 2 S14's. I also have a 1995 Nissan pickup with the v6 4wd 5speed manual Transmission extended cab. Iam the 2nd owner of the Truck i have had it since 2006. The truck currently has about 153k on it still runs strong!
The R35 GT-R is just perfection for me, the dream JDM to drive one day and hopefully own one ;) Larry you need to get one in T-Spec :) Keep up the amazing job :)
I think there should be an auto Like & Subscribe function for some channels because every output is of the highest standard. Larry’s is definitely that channel.
golden Supercar killer for sure! also its one of the best aftermarket platform for car lovers. ex: Liberty Walker, which made remarkable as worldwide Japanese Fuji MT. spirit 😁
the feels when you mentioned Gran Turismo generation, great stuff man. Thankful to have driven an R31 GTSX which i turned down and it was a military service member deploying hence needing to sell and they even hit me up like five days later with a discount and i still turned it down. Shucks.. Got a chance to drive an R31 sedan rwd and it was nice too, favorite was a 93 chaser Tourer V bone stock and it was nice nice. Way to go with the video #makenissangreatagain
I liked the video. Would have liked a little bit more history included for context, like the achievements of the R33, R34, R35 in racing and tuner culture
I have a 2012 Nissan GTR and I got a greater appreciation when I went to Japan and saw the car there. It made me appreciate my car and the culture in Japan. I felt so much connection to my GTR when I got home. I missed Japan. I am disappointed to see that the R 35 GTR will be getting discontinued. I will treasure my GTR and pass it down to my kids . long, live the JDM culture!,!
Yup, two videos in one day. let's go
Amazing job Larry, was just wondering if you have any tips for a beginning photographer who wants to do the same kind of work?
THANK YOU!
You rock, Larry (and team)!
As others have said”Thank You Larry “ for all the love you give to what you do 🤙🏼

Man. I was just talking about this with my friend last night. It’s such a hero car. I really hope Nissan builds an r36
Or make more GT-R 50?

It is coming. It is going to have a crazy hybrid drivetrain.
The fact that we even have to question if there gonna make another generation is crazy actually
Congradulations and thank you Larry!!! 💙💜

Thanks Larry for presenting all those feelings from our beloved R35 GT-R

Great work
Keep on doing your lovely work and we can keep enjoying!!!!
Great final photo Larry. More of a Porsche guy but respect anyone who loves their type of car.
Well done! Love this video and format!
I’ve owned 3 R35’s in the past 15 years. A legend of a car!
Each to their own, but the R35 never held the legendary status of it's younger brothers...for me the R33 and R34 GTRs were king of kings.
I think you are just being close-minded.
The r35 has done similar things, just in modern times.
