The tie-in to the earth Romulan war I love. Starfleets resources were on a tight budget due to the resource-intensive NX Class so Starfleet used the much simpler Daedalus Class & other simple designs to construct ships using what they had to survive.
FINALLY!!! After the dreck we've had shoveled at us by studios for these past several years, Chris Lea knows what a Star Trek show could (should) look like, exciting, engaging, very retrotrek but a fully realized universe with older designs that make sense in the lineage leading up to the Constitution class ships, and not filling the screen with hundreds of ships facing off against each other in mind numbing phaser battles, there's no drama in that, just flashy displays of what computers can now conjure, but pit one ship against another, captain vs captain, tactics, both sides taking damage, or as seen here, just two ships and an uncertain story to unfold, brilliant, this is the kind of storytelling and art we should be supporting, this is good Trek
@@chrislea1000 I guess it would depend on one's take on ST "canon". I've always thought Starfleet (as well as the United Federation of Planets) was formed after, or maybe during, the Earth-Romulan War in the 2160s. Prior to that was UESPA or something like it that was not called "Starfleet Command". Maybe Earth Star Fleet...? I don't know. But I do know that I enjoy your videos.
I love that ship's looks. It has a bit of the old Masao Okazaki's UESN ship vibe to it.

Nice with a cool design for an Inter-Planetary Patrol ship.
SS Botany Bay, a DY-100-class sleeper ship
Hollywood take notes, this guy is a true master! Seriously the wait for the full video is killing me. :D
A week or so....
@@chrislea1000 The wait will be worth it's weight in solid gold.

I'm hooked. This is the epitome of a Teaser trailer. ❤️🖖
Why? Because it reveals next to nothing?
@@andytay5507it reveals just enough to whet our appetites for more, which is what a teaser is meant to do
The designs of these ships are so cool!
Eagerly awaiting this one! (as with all your great work)
Whoa... firstTrek chills in a very long time... :O

Cant wait for this, your work is amazing!
Got some chills... very nice! 👍
Wow these renders are absolutely beautiful! Well done! They have such a nice solid retro feel and look to them. We look forward to seeing more! 🎉
Thanks - and thanks for that Dune upload :)
You can just tell, the full video is going to be great, I can't wait.
Would love to see more of the SS Leo. The design fits that time so well.
I'm sure she will return :)
Something set in this pioneering period before everything we know
that looks like the United Earth's interpretation of a Pird of prey, so cool.
Outstanding

2135.....United Earth Space Probe Agency?
Or the very early days of Starfleet perhaps?
