  • HAIRPRINT REVIEW // NATURAL HAIR DYE TO REVERSE GREY HAIR
    I try the all natural, toxic-free hair dye, HairPrint to reverse my grey hair. I wanted a product that was 100% natural, plant-based and free of chemicals and toxins. I use HairPrint, show you the entire process and the final result. I go over the pros and cons of this natural method for restoring grey hair. This is my honest opinion and is NOT sponsored. I paid for HairPrint myself.
    I've been using conventional hair dyes for my premature grey hair for many years but have switched most of my products to green, natural, toxic-free products. I did not want to not dye my hair or let my greys grow out, but I also didn't want to let conventional hair dyes that are full of gross and toxic chemicals sit in my hair for 30 minutes. Watch the full video to see the final result. I show you lots of close ups before and after.
    What do you think of the results. Would you use HairPrint on your hair? I'd love to know your thoughts.

      Did you use the hairprint on the hair that already had dye in it? I saw that you're supposed to put shea butter on the dyed portion and then use hairprint on the roots only? Or am I misunderstanding?

    • @Monicasmoda
      @Monicasmoda  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I focused mostly on applying it to my roots but didn't mind the product being dispersed all over.

      @@Monicasmoda will it damage previously dyed hair if I add it to my whole head instead of just roots? I'm trying to transition away from chemical so I'll have new growth followed by previously chemically dyed hair along the length of my hair.

    • @Monicasmoda

      @@natashalegendre-wafer735 it won't damage the hair. I actually found it strengthened it. For me, it darkened the ends which turn quite light with the sun. I have dyed my hair its natural colour to cover greys so it is a really nice, natural result. Too bad the process is so lengthy and messy.

      @natashalegendre-wafer735 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Monicasmoda if you don't mind I have one more question...if my roots are pure white, my ends black, would this make transitioning feasible? Or will it look really distinct white vs black? I guess I'm asking will enough of the white take up the hair print dye to make transitioning bearable.

    I have been using it for at least 6 years. It's a bit more of work than going to the salon, but the choice for me is no brainer: chemicals vs natural elements. Research the dangers of toxic chemicals that will absorbe into your body; and we put that in our heads? No way, I will ever go back to salon products.
    I don't get all the grey out, but my grey turns darker with some highlight and I love it!

    I’ve used HairPrint for years now, and as I don’t always love the process, I do enjoy the results. You can usually get the process down to an hour less then the first time. I use the HairPrint shampoos and only condition my ends on occasion. I always use the Chelating shampoo before coloring,. I use the plus kit, which means your fighting with foaming bean juice longer. I keep a box of towels and linens to use in the process. I always do a 10 minute condition after the final rinse, which starts at the kitchen sink and ends in the shower. But I love how my hair feels when it’s done. First time, plan on doing two kits a week apart. Another upside is that if you use their shampoo you’ll find you don’t need to use it more then twice a week, (unless your hair is getting dirty elsewhere) and I have long hair and don’t use much conditioner either. Best sales are on Black Friday or cyber Monday

      Worth trying out to see how it works for you. I'll be posting an update video soon. I've found the results just so-so but what bugs me is how long the process takes, and the mess. I really wish we can have a natural hair dye that gives the same results as a chemical one soon!

      Actually I have. I filmed the video but never ended up editing it. The results were the same and I decided to no longer use the product. It wasn't worth it and I really disliked the process - too many steps, too messy and too expensive. I went back to the salon. Now I'm actually using root touch ups from the drug store which is fast and easy.

    Just wanted to say, they had a bad batch for a bit and normally it’s not super messy and when it’s their good formula it’s so much better!! It’s not crazy messy and it covers so much more because it’s not so dang runny.

    • @Monicasmoda

    I guess I’m sticking with my usual box color to cover my greys. Hairprint procedure is way too long compared to 20min of box dye, and I’m very white on my crown so Hairprint won’t work on me if it barely worked for you. I’m glad I found your review, thanks.

    • @Monicasmoda

      It totally works for me Sam. The first application feels clumsy and messy because it's so, so different from dye. Once you get the hang of it, stay organized, follow the directions, and learn the tips it truly works wonderfully. I happen to be passionate about nontoxic living so I guess I was willing to be patient at first.

     Thx god for those coments:D I was about to reject that product after this video. But after reading the comnets, im sure this product is miracle. You want to know why is it genius product??? Its becouse it have 1 chemikal ingredinet , that isnt in reality chemical. I mean its peroxide oxide . Its needed to open hair follices, but in natural components like henna etc. it doesnt exist. So that profesor got an idea , that you can just add peroxide oxide to the natural dyes, and then coloring will be healthy :D Its genious , becouse peroxide oxide occurs in body, its not exactly chemical, it is a bit unfriendly for scalp, but if it get into body it isnt that much dangerous like ethyloamine etc. .Ofcourse that make hair dyeing much longer, harder, not that perfect, and not for that long time, but its healthy. That is genius product i see that also after reading comments

    I just ordered this product today at a reduced cost per their special. I haven’t chemically treated my hair in over a year in anticipation for when I’d buy this product & allow my hair to naturally grow out virgin gray hairs. I’ve read that it helps to leave product on about 30 minutes, which obviously would make the already 3-hour task even longer. I also purchased the chelating shampoo, which is recommended prior to using Hairprint to strip the hair of product build up, so I’m hoping that helps with coverage as well. One other pro you didn’t mention is the savings in cost as compared to salon chemical treatment. AND Hairprint also offers a Plus version of the product. I’m now wondering if I should have gotten that since I have more grays than you did. What color kit did you get? Dark? Brown?

    • @Monicasmoda
      @Monicasmoda  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I got the brown color. The cost to me, including shipping to Canada, ended up being $80 Canadian which is the same cost as touching up my roots at the salon. But the salon experience is much more enjoyable.
      For me, the results were ok. And I could deal with the price but I really, really didn't like the experience at all. And that was the deal breaker:( It's too bad.

    I don't know what process you used in your subsequent attempts but the lady combing your hair was transferring oil to the treatment area when combing before applying.. This is something the Hairprint instructions warn against as the oil will keep the product from penetrating. It could be one factor in your less than ideal coverage.
