    I LOVE Hairprint! This product requires patience, so if you don’t have any, then it might not be for you. Yes, it is a little time consuming and messy to apply, but for me it is worth it if I can avoid all of the toxic chemicals that are in regular hair dye. I did not get full grey coverage the first time I applied it but I’ve used Hairprint four times now and it really does work better each time you use it.This last time I would say that I got close to 100% coverage. And yes, your hair will feel like straw when you complete the final rinse but as soon as you shampoo, condition and dry it, it feels wonderfully soft. One step that is recommended but not done in this video is to wash with a chelating shampoo before applying the pre-treatment. I use the chelating shampoo the day before and again on the day of the application to make sure there is no product residue, minerals from hard water, etc. on my hair. My hair is darker than normal for about a week but then goes back to its natural colour. I reapply every 7-8 weeks. I hope this is helpful!

    I have been using HAIRPRINT for about 6 months now. I did find that you get better coverage/results with more use. It seems like it took about 3 uses. I have much more gray than you and I am very happy. I just love that there is no scent. Thank you for making this video! When I was researching there were very few. I just took a leap of faith too. So glad I did. Your hair looks great!!

    I just used Hairprint for the first time today. First, it's very messy, I did the mixing and application in my sink in front of my mirror, but since I don't have a tall sink faucet, I had to do rinse in my bath tub. That means that my sink, bath tub, and curtains got stained. The dye is coming off, but it requires a lot of scrubbing. When I rinsed my hair in between solutions, water run through my neck, face, arms, so I had to use tons of wet wipes to clean them up. The gloves are so large that are mostly useless, I'll get my XS gloves next time. By the way, this is the first time dying my hair ever. Regarding the color, I had about 15% white hair mostly in the front and in the upper back of my head, overall Hairprint did a good job, the color overall seems darker, but there are still several hairs in the front that are still completely white. In the back, all the whites are gone. I guess maybe I didn't follow the procedures correctly, who knows. I hope it last long enough to make all this mess-and cost, worthy

  • @veganmichele
    @veganmichele  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    +violet goodman yes! Good call as I still have stained ears lol. Next time I'll use it😊
    Yes there definitely was reddish undertones but it's from where I had bleached highlights previously. So I think it just picked up those areas and brought out red. Yes, I think I might try one shade light for next time- too dark by a shade or two. I've never tried henna so thanks for the heads up.

    I used Olia by Garnier. Makes the colour look natural in that it seems like more than one solid colour. And the conditioner included really shines and softens my hair. My hair is really short so I only use a portion and buy Olia on sale. I get 3 uses and save $$$. I know I compromise my “no chemical” mantra but this is one thing that is worthy in my chemical-free life because of the amazing result and many compliments I get.

    Thank you for making this video. I have been eyeing hair print for months now. I've had to dye my grey hair for almost 10 years, and the last 2 years I've used Oway organics, but realized it's not as organic as it sounds. Are you still using this product and liking it? Any new tips you've discovered?

      Hi! Your welcome. I’m not currently using it, only because I needed to cut down on my spending and this was not a necessity. I’m using herbatint now, which is not as clean but works really well. My best advice is to do it when you have plenty of time, it’s a process and being rushed would be stressful. 😊Thanks for watching.

    I meticulously followed instructions, including using only the shampoos (very runny, expensive water) & conditioners (not very conditioning) purchased from hair print. My results were hideous! Not only was the color a horrible grey (I used medium brown) but, my usually soft hair's texture was awful (looked like old wiry salt & pepper dog hair). There is no phone number to contact someone for help or suggestions. My only option was to go to the store and purchase conventional hair dye which I haven't used in a very long time. I could not go to work looking so horrible. UGH!!!! Buyer beware and have a back up plan if you decide to purchase.

      I had to go get it professional fixed. Very frustrated with the customer service. Only communication is via email. They do not listen to what you say and tell you "your hair must have been really dry before you started" and "you must have been using bad hair products. My hair was virgin hair, never dyed or chemically altered, no hair products as too many cause me to break out. My hair was in wonderful shape, very healthy, shiny and soft. I had used only their shampoo and conditioner for 8 days prior. Still dealing with the dry damage left behind. Will continue to look for a better option. :)

      I noticed their example model on their site still had wiry looking hair. This seems like WAY too much trouble and expense for the end result. I use Herbatint and am happy. Thank you so much for sharing your experience on camera in a short and sweet way!
    your hair is adorable.
    Does hairprint impart a warmer color than your natural, or can I expect to see the mousy color I've been hiding (minus the grays) ever since I was able?
    I am a hairdresser who has been doing my own retouches in the bathroom (with a mirror so I can see the back) for the last 12+ years and it takes me 20-30 minutes to apply the color to my roots. I can't imagine getting the color on w/in the puny 5 minute window hairprint provides. OOOOOOF!
    Translucent, natural gray coverage notwithstanding; In the hairprint demo, the neatnick, chillax, tea-drinking lady who colored her hair ends up with her hair shaft and ends notably darker than the roots--so it looks like a do-it-yourself color job to me. If I use this, I would indeed cover my previously colored hair with something to avoid that, but alas, that would make it even more challenging to apply hairprint within the 5 minutes to my roots only. What to do?

    • @veganmichele
      @veganmichele  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Mary! This method is for sure a lot messier and time-consuming than regular hair color methods. I really wanted it to work way better than it did and I found it to be more expensive than I was willing to spend per month. I did notice that if you got it on previously dyed hair it was noticeably darker. Hope that helps, I love the concept of this, but I’m looking for something else currently

    • @maryhansen7021
      @maryhansen7021 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Vegan Michele Did it match your hair color or was it warmer or cooler in tone?. My hair color is ash and I hate it which is why I started coloring it in the first place, but now I have grays and want to move to something non-toxic. I researched henna but the four hour process of having lawsone sink into your scalp and likely impart a hormonal imbalance due to its estrogen content took it off the list for me! Have you discovered something on the same plane as hair print as far as nontoxicity?

    • @veganmichele
      @veganmichele  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I’d say it was a warmer tone for me. I’ve not found anything as natural but if you find something please let me know too.

      @maryhansen7021 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Vegan Michele Thank you so much! I will let you no, but I may try to find a way to use this because I’ve been looking for an awfully long time (The length of my roots can testify to that!) And this technology is unique.
      I sent an email to Natulique hair color, a British line, asking for a list of ingredients and where I can buy it.....but in the meantime I stumbled across a blog called, I read labels for you who did an expose on the integrity of the inventors of the products, questioning the claims of it being organic, as they created their own standards for purity and organic content, posing as a third-party lab. Nonetheless I am waiting for a reply for a complete list of ingredients to their zero line. Because who wants to sign up for a 75 minute messy difficult retouch process every month?

    • @maryhansen7021
      @maryhansen7021 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Although it’s only semi permanent and; contains some henna, I’m also considering radico--because the product doesn’t degrade in 5 min and you don’t have to do a Second application (which is quite a feat when you’re trying to avoid that previously colored hair in order not to darken it).🥳

    I tried it today and did 2 packs since it was my first time. I followed the instructions exactly so it took me about 5 hours, so much clean up. It did NOT cover my gray, my hair feels absolutely disgusting, and I ruined 5 towels (I washed them and it does not come out). I tried to be as neat as possible but had to clean 2 sinks, a tub, the floor, and walls. I wasted a day and lots of money. I was so excited about this product. I watched all the tutorials and went through the pain of growing out 2 inches. My hair has never felt this awful in my life. I need to find some deep conditioning, anyone have any tips of how to recover from Hairprint?

      Try putting conditioner on your hair dry and putting a plastic bag over and letting it sit for 30 minutes maybe to an hour. I had a bad dye job that totally burned my hair and that kind of help revive it. My experience with hairprint is that it feels worse than the bad hair dye.

    Tried it (2 box) a week ago, bought the chelating shampoo n conditioner too. Not worth for 2nd attempt, Expensive and needs to applied very fast, to much hassle n messy especially with long hair. The official tutorial is short hair and the other video in a salon with everyone using Hairprint products (1 med hair with 3 people helping) it's just how fast it is U need to apply it, or else NOT GONNA ATTACHED to ur hair. 1 time is ok to make all your hair follicles mumbo jumbo became a virgin hair again. my grey on my roots are still visible (only 50% coverage) it does say have to do multiple times, but again grey will never stop showing no matter the months different from normal dyed. it's just not worth the hassle for me, in the next 3 days I'll just dye it with Semi Permanent Clairol Natural Instinct, coz I only need it for my roots. But I must say the Shampoo n Conditioner product is good 4 stars (why not 5?) Coz ther are stiff after use, but after few hours drying, it feels sooo good, went to the beach it has no oily feelings (it was day 2 after shampooing). I just bought bio marine shampoo from them. 👍😊

    What kinds of ingredients in conventional shampoo make it so Hairprint doesn't work as well? You mentioned at the beginning of the video (3:00) that you should stop using those for a week. If I'm not sure how great my shampoo is (it's at least sort of natural), would you recommend just not shampooing for a week?

    • @veganmichele
      @veganmichele  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Shelbey Neil hi! Conventional shampoos and conditioners have waxes in them that coat the hair and then it's more difficult for hairprint to penetrate evenly and as much as possible. I would recommend using even something cheap and more natural like acure or giovanni. You can find them in target or Whole Foods for 6-8$ hope that helps😊

      Color Wow does not stick to your hair if you have used chelating shampoo. With no product on hair Color Wow just has nothing to latch on to.

      +Beth Hodges hi! Yes I have used it a few times more. My main issue was the price. I needed to use it every month and at $40 or more each time it was too expensive for me to continue. But I think if it's something you don't need to touch up grey hairs frequently with, it would be good to try xx

      Thanks for the reply. I went ahead and ordered it. Right now I am paying my hairdresser almost $100 every 5 weeks so for me this would be an improvement. I really appreciated your video and hope am looking forward to trying the product.

      +Beth Hodges Did you try the product? How did it work for you? I just ordered two boxes and hope to try it this weekend. I have very curly, dry hair and am scared that the product dries hair so much. I'm very scared it may break my hair. I truly am scared, but I am even more scared of the reactions I get from using chemicals. They make me quite sick and give me dermatitis. I wish that Hairprint addressed the dryness issue. Currently, they simply ignore it and that's so unprofessional and uncaring. It's obvious that the product needs improvements. Theo conditioners too are not very good. They don't soften or condition the hair. They too need tremendous improvements.

      Hi Olhos, I have not tried it yet. I purchased two boxes but am waiting for my roots to grow out about 2 inches before I try it. I read that if you coat the hair with existing color with coconut butter that it is not as bad as far as dryness goes, so I am going to try that method. I am still about a month away from doing it though.

    This might be hard for to believe being its a natural plant source but though nutritionally rich the main ingredient in hairprint is mucuna PRURIENS contain potentially TOXIC principles and anti-nutrients also which may have been responsible for widespread signs of toxicity in the brain, lungs, heart, testes, liver and kidneys of rats dosed at 400 mg/kg body weight of the extract for 28 days.Feb 6, 2017 STUDIES.
    And amount like that packed on scalp is alarming. Other hair dyes though not natural do not penetrate brain barriers. Research mucuna pruriens the main ingredient plant. I th hought trying henna but researched that and found that even organic henna they have to use lye to produce it. The struggle continues for my grey. Im using waterworks now its a powder u mix with water, no ammonia, or lifters, i only use it sparingly on roots. Comes in many brown colors. Only 9 dollars on amazon

    I'm sorry, this might be non toxic, but it is actually insanely damaging and drying to hair. I was exploring as an option now that i'm seeing some greys but the ingredients and the instructions seem like a nighmare for someone who already has dry hair. This would ruin my hair horribly.

    • @veganmichele
      @veganmichele  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, it was drying initially on my hair too but then ok after a few days. But trust your gut for sure, as you can see in the comments of this video some people have had great results, some not great. 👍
