  • Hey thanks for picking my furniture flip video. My husband thrifted this amazing solid wood sideboard and I tried to make it even better! I turned trash to treasure .. lol I cannot call this piece trash it was really special to begin with! Hopefully I made it even better! I used Behr chalk paint in inked and wax to get this amazing transformation into this classic beauty!

    Hi. This is a beauty. I love leaving part of the wood of the piece, it gives it much class. I found using Annie Sloan paint I have not had to prime. If I get bleed through, I use spray shellac, which is what she uses. Thank you for teaching us so much.

    Where did you use the dark wax?

      Yes, I forgot to film that part, sorry ... I used it in the corners of the door and sides just to create a little bit of a soft shadow effect ... it is quite subtle.
