With having different colors front and back, - did you use 2 different light strips and controllers then? I haven't done much with lights but I really like this project and want to tackle doing it

I make stuff very similar. I round over the edges then paint/stain the edge with a darker color then flat and the face. This highlights the edges

Nice work. These remind me of the intarsia wood working projects I had in highschool...........Your project turned out way better than mine did lol. Been wanting to to try something like that again. I still have a scroll saw brand new in box that was gifted to me a few years ago. I should crack that sucker open.

I like it! The shadow painting worked well. I am also wondering if a 1/8th inch chamfer would work for this type of artwork.

I’m worried that I won’t be artistic enough to do the staining 🫣 but I think I will give it a shot and buy the plans from Etsy

meh, much more you can do much quicker with less of a limited market to move it towards . . . i mean still cool. . .but more a niche item. . would rather fill planter orders or shelf requests :)

Most of your content are interesting design ideas... but the titles are highly misleading. No where in any of this do you talk about the "big profit" part. Making a thing is a different skill than making money off a thing.

ok, stop, there's like 5 of you you tube experts claiming high profit, your math is wrong or you're not paying taxes or you're stealing the wood. Our family 39 yrs as woodworkers with 12 employees and no one is making high profits the legal way, wood is the highest its ben since 1975. STOP you might as well be a flat earther. And if you were making high profits hy make a video, makes no since, the profit is from you tube.

New subscriber here. Good job on these. I make similar things to sell. A few things that may help: 1) background - I've found that many customers are turned off by plywood as the background. So I usually make a lot of "slats" with a 2x4 - basically 1 1/2" wide pieces less than 1/4" thick, and lay them (usually glued) on the plywood ro make horizontal or vertical board patterns. It's easy to do and raises the appeal alot. You can also stain or paintwash each slat a different color of you wish if it won't make the subject too "busy" 2) variety in the subject blocks - instead of laying the whole pattern on a piece of wood, i often cut out the pattern paper first, and place them in different orientations on one, two or more piecesbof wood. That way you have more variety with grain patterns on each piece and it looks like a lot more work was put into it. 3) borders - small chamfers on each piece edge also helps them stand out. Just my experience with selling these and talking to buyers.
