This adventurous lifestyle seems so appealing to me as I get closer to retirement. You guys are two of the most honest and natural people I have watched on TH-cam. Continue the journey, and always remember the words of Robert Frost: "Two roads diverged in a wood, and I I took the one less travelled by, And that has made all the difference." Safe travels!
From a cat mom who has kitties. If you can wait to feed her till after you come back from your walk then if she runs away you can grab her cat food container and shake it and she will hopefully come back. Everytime I feed my two kitties I yell 'here kitty kitties!" and I shake their cat food bag and my cats come running. Their "treat" is canned cat food so I will yell the same but hit the top of the can with a spoon. Having trained them to come for food puts my mind at ease incase on of them decides to run out the door.
It's pretty exciting to see how you three function. Such a unique way of living. I appreciate the authenticity and transparency - even just seeing the gear all spread out naturally was rad to see! More like this, please!
I think maybe not have any “usual days” should be a life goal for everyone. From ages 27-34 are roughly one year in my memory. I took a new job in a new city and 35 felt longer than the previous 7 years.
We go shopping in bishop which is an hour north from lone pine where we retired. We camped and fished along the 395 then species to move whew we did that. Im not as much nature person but we have truck and small trailer. Bought a jeep to explore the area. A few things we didnt know it actually snows a few days in winter. Summers are 3 months of 100 degrees cannot figure out plans yet that can survive both extremes and our house seems to be in the wind tunnel of Owens valley. Proven by the monarchs flew through our backyard in spring for almost 2 hours on the thermal! All unknown just stream camping but we still love it here.
I went to that Lunar Crater on a 3,500 mile ride this summer, what a cool spot! The road circles back to the highway past a neat dry lake. ( where I might have gone about 90mph lol) and I’m sure you found out its about 4 hours straight to Mammoth!
Ole freckle face! The cutest thing I have ever seen!I think you are beautiful and I am so envious of your lifestyle! You two are living the dream!I am a speck of dust on a rock no one has ever seen in the middle of the forest, but at least I have you to take me places.
Nice! Hiked the JMT last year. Absolutely epic. We lucked out and obtained walk-up permits out of Tuolumne Meadows. Your videos have inspired me to forgo the van and get a Tacoma instead. Thanks for sharing!
@@BoundForNowhere That was just too funny and it is great to see the lighter side that usually does not make videos. It is more enjoyable to see the casual stuff and not just the typical "whateveryonewantstoseeinavideo"
OK Award for the best couple in the history of the universe!! My first video I've seen from you two and loved it. Epic and yet awesomely simple in all the right ways. Cheers.
If you are somewhere SE-ish of Reno and Carson…and S of Fallon, then this could be the Carson Sink, then you are most likely seeing the Carson Sink. Not sure what created it but in the back of head, I'm thinkin' it was meteor strike…in prehistoric times it was filled with lots of water and sometimes when the rainy season is out of control, it will still hold some water in the deepest sections, but it doesn't last long. Back in the middle 70's (yeah, I'm an old guy), I lived in the East SF Bay area and belonged to a 4WD Club and we went out there for a long weekend…I don't remember much about getting there and back home, as I was in a 'convoy' (of sorts) and we were really immersed in lots of CB radio chatter. It is one of those places that I put back on my Bucket List to revisit…Black Rock is another area…where they do Burning Man every year…keep it safe out there on the road. - - "Scooter" in East Texas
Love that you're both creatives! Are you on any sites for getting editing work, or do you get most of it through word of mouth?? I've done some editing professionally on premiere, and trying to figure out how I could get enough work to get on the road part time!
We tend to grow by word of mouth. We took a few years to build our business to a sustainable size before going on the road. Now all new clients come to us by word of mouth!

Sometimes its gourmet and sometimes its the same pasta or tacos you make every single week. In talking to my boys about cooking I let slip the hardest part of cooking is planning what to cook.
Steph D not trying to argue or anything. A lot of veganism can be a fad. But some of the longest living humans on earth and the majority of them being free from chronic disease such as Dimentia and Alzheimer’s are on plant based diets.

That Clown Motel is supposedly insanely haunted. @@BoundForNowhere
It's great seeing simple meals. I LOVE to cook elaborate meals at home, but usually enjoy easy meals when on the road. Thanks!
Well since we are on the road 100% of the time we like to eat like normal people, but sometimes its just too hot to think about it!
Get a cargo net hammock for your ceiling. Stash all your stuff up in there.

EPIC camera gear hiding spot!! What is your range on a full tank of gas??
newer tundra's come with a 38 gallon and they're probably getting 12-10 mpg so you can kinda figure it out from there.

You should have stopped in that small town. It is Tonopah NV. There is lots to see and has a rich history.
Just overlanded through Bishop last month, Eastern Sierra's are worth their own trip. Headed back in October!

11-12mpg and we drive it in tow-haul 100% of the time. Doesn't even bat an eye at the camper back there! It's incredible
