things to take away from the video.
1. don't advance with turbo... LEFT , RIGHT and RETREAT .. Shadow you opponent
2. use chuck to put offensive play out of position when a pick is come. check is beneficial against stagnant players. chuck then switch to hedge defender just incase the chuck doesn't connected so you can prepare to bring help quickly.
3. main focus should be defending the paint so force them to take more perimeter shots. Limit transition and crash defensive glass..

Just a tip for people trying to counter this while on offense: if your defender is trying to beat you to a spot and has their body turned, its a very opportune moment for a snatchback into a drive in the opposite direction or a hopstep into a jumper. This can be vice-versa as well, such as a snatchback into a jumpshot or a hopstep into a drive on the opposite side

I test it on myteam , myteam doesn't have leaderboards so i don't gotta worry about my record. playnow online however i don't try that cause i ain't trying to catch a L testing out stuff.

Also, it is a meta game. You want to make them shooter the lower percentage shot. Between scoring in the paint and shooting the ball, the lower percentage is shooting.

don't zig zag with them, you will get lost doing that. maintain the spacing and just focus on staying infront of them

Is there a new way you stop people from using screens since they patched the chuck animation and how do you stop people when there just going side to side wanting you to react?
Can you break down scoring, creating space, shot creating, and shot releases. 2k has made it impossible to score this year

Do you have any tips for defending the post.. I’ll play man defense and keep my hands up, but the opponents will do that 180 spin to the rim and almost always get a guaranteed layup... any tips for stopping that
It's all about positioning when it comes to the spin. Only certain places on the court they can do it with guaranteed success every time. So u have to give ground even if it means letting them get closer to the rim. I cant really give a visual through explanation. It's something that needs to be seen to understand.
Didn't had much success my first 2 games with the chuck but I'm getting the hang of it. Just completely shut down a guys pick and roll the entire game.
It takes some getting use to because there is a delay on the action but once you get the timing down it can improve your pick and roll defense.
Do you get a lot of fouls called against you doing this because I do?
@@BigBankJones40 no much, much less than stealing thats for sure. but i set my settings to conservative defense and i do the bumb when they already dribble because they tend to call foul more when he hasnt dribbled.

You gotta use screens and don't dribble in front of great defenders. This 2K is more like real basketball than the others.

Man myteam is an unrealistic game mode and plus guys like klay have like 99ovr contested shot. Sometimes just keeping your hand up isn't enough. You need to go for that block or have good defender on them with defensive stopper badge maxed.

@@T_Caldwell89 shot meter is there to help you make more shots consistently, i suggesting keeping that on. instead try learning the persons release and know which shots to take. like players shot tendencies and also understand that players are going to miss open looks to maintain there percentages. law of averages typer thing.

I'm new playing NBA and I decided to buy 2k19 and I want to know how I can beat the CPU in PS4 I Know u made this video a year ago could you help with this ?
Beating the computer tips.
1. You can play off-ball on weakest perimeter scorer and force the PC to feed him the ball and force that player to take perimeter shots.
2. Use a playbook so you can score easy points. I used nets or Mavericks for 2k19.
3. 4 out 1 freelance or 5 out freelance for spacing on offense.
4. Post fadeaway is OP in 2k19.
5. Watch some of my older vids on defense and best playbooks.
The pc will cheat every now and then but if you force mostly perimeter shots with their weak shooters then you should be fine. Good luck

@@MRNBA2K just to clarify something about chucking. It's harder to do it when the handler isn't stagnant, correct? I dude i just played online killed me with Westbrook. The chucking was hard to do against Westbrook. He do his PnR in motion or take off before the screener makes full contact. .
@@antoinearmorjr2505 the chucking takes a bit of skill. u know a pick is coming because thats how everybody scores in 2k. so before the player even gets close to set the pic you close out on westbrook and chuck him out of position. then you switch to the hedge defender immediately after you chuck because you need to prepare him to prevent the drive if the chuck doesn't connect successfully. i will do a full breakdown when i do pick and roll defense i just went over it quickly in this video.
