I have been preaching about go over and catch hedge for the last 3 years. The catch hedge completely shuts down the roll. I will occasionally use stay attached for a guy like Dirk if they r really using pick n fade a lot

for defensive settings -> force direction:baseline, on-ball screen:go over, hedge: automatic, on-ball screen(center): go over, hedge(center): catch hedge, stay attached: no, off-ball: switch, post: front, double team perimeter: manual, switch rules: switch all, screen help rules: no help, drive help rules: no help. and do not forget to turn off adaptive coaching engine.

Im definitely gonna give switch all a try in MyTeam because I run a very defensive heavy lineup with guys who are very versatile and can switch. Guys like Pippen Battier and Gerald Wallace can all hold their own vs a big in a pinch.

I pride myself on being a good on ball defender, but I always got burned by cheesers who spammed pick rolls and isos. Since using these settings yesterday, I’m 4-1 with my only loss against a dude who had every Player of the Month card except Hakeem...and I only lost to him by 6. Big props homie!

Off-ball pressure: same thing as above^^^
Force baseline direction: BASELINE
On-ball screen: OVER
On-ball screen: (center) OVER
Off-ball screen: SWITCH
Hedge: CATCH HEDGE
Hedge: (center) CATCH HEDGE
Post: FRONT
Switch rules: SWITCH ALL
Screen help rules: NO HELP
Drive help rules: NO HELP
Extend pressure: NO (FOR EVERYONE)

no the CPU is easy to predict. playing against different users is what got me good in this game because everyone different so you have adjust to different playing styles.

This works often. But against the cheesers with that base 11 shot. If you don't get over right away it's GG. Soft hedge is better in those games
bro this is for standard or casual users. defensive settings for cheesers have to be modified on the go because you have to constanly make adjustments. however i will never use any hedge aside from catch hedge. i got a new method for completly shutting down p&r and P&P but just ain't had time to post content.

working on it. got maybe 1 or two vids then on-ball defense.
The only problem with no help is that in MyTeam later in the year everybody can shoot so there is nobody to leave. I use help and no rotation except vs bigs that cant shoot in which case I use auto.
thats why you have to pick your poisen. when im playing a team full of shooter or pink diamonds i dont let him shoot with who wants. i decide who take the shot on his team. that way i have some control over the game. i do this with a combination of double team and fake double teams

warriors have numerous guys who you can set leave him for. the bench have atleast 4 guys. and with the starters i pick my poisen. meaning i leave draymon be the one to beat me, which he cant because he isnt consistent. vid soon on that thou

I set it to force baseline and also i set extend pressure on lebron. Once you have those two settings on you will see every now and then the pc will basically body them out of bounds.

How is it that every time i play online i cant get any open 3's but the other team gets constant open 3's. Is it a playbook? Is it the tempo they play? I have so many questions because time and time again i get frustrated because it seems like they are always one step ahead of me
What if you have trouble rebound with the front setting? Who I play with mostly don't drop into the paint they drive and wait for that opening just outside the paint by the baseline

Question what you do if they have 4 shooters out there you can’t play right with no help cuz then the screen they get open every trip
gotta be able to defend that screen because once you stop that , nobody scoring. there are multiple ways to stop the screen, u can fight using the setting in this video, you can switch instead going over and catch hedge or you can bring help from the side the ball handler is taking the screen to make him pass the ball pass the ball. i will do a video on that soon because you have to see it to understand.
It is screwed up the off ball defenders stand still while they get an easy bucket
