EB asks to install RCCB. Poor people still use 2 pin Chinese immersion rod heaters. It's common sense that we should service the stove every year and change the tube before expiry. If we follow these 3 tips then most of the accidents can be avoided. Our house maid never follow these, as they don't have money. They use insulation tape for sealing leakage on tube.

Ok but please note the foll. points:
1. Cylinder bursts due to external heat and not because of fire due to leakage.
2. That hose clip (tech name: worm drive hose clip) should not be used on loose tube for grip. It may bite the tube.
3. Fridge cut-off relay mounted near the compressor creates sparks every time it works (like a gas lighter).This may ignite the leaking gas, suppose if there is gas leakage. So for this reason fridge should not be kept in kitchen.
4. Gas is heavier than air and so any leakage will be near the floor surface initially and we wont know unless it reaches our nose level.
5. Cylinder should be kept in well ventilated space and not inside closed cabinets under the slab.
6. The tube should not pass thru the hole in the slab. (avoid that hole).
7. Gas has no natural smell. Odourant is added (ethyl mercaptans) in order to sense leakage.
8. If the burner stops in sim mode due to blockage, then the stove has to be serviced.
9. The colour of the cylinder should not be changed.
10. Inflammable materials like kitchen towel (kaari thuni), paper, plastic covers should not be kept or stored on or near the cylinder.
11. Two cylinders should not be kept in the same spot.
12. Avoid usage of ceiling or pedestal fans in the kitchen while cooking.
Main reason, many people 1st &2nd floor people throwing their empty cylinders, at that time stone and point things affected the cylinder. The gas filled people don't bothered about that.If we use the cylinder, that is blast.This is the main reason for cylinder blast. So we must check the full cylinder before use,

I think we should only use Suraksha cable provided by Gas agency and only use Regular supplied by Gas agency. And incase we want to change it, it should be bought from them by billing them against our gas customer number. While surrendering the gas connection, they will check if the registered regulator is used. Pls check and update it if I'm correct.

Last week i had problem of leaking.
When I removed regulater then gas started coming with heavy visil sound ( new cylinder with full gas due to high pressure) like cooker releases steam when safety valve melted .
The reason was the pin in the cylinder not coming out to lock the gas . In that situation we have to use pen, pencil or similar dia, even bike or car key just press once , will get locked . It happened to me last week, the gas co person demonstrated. Due to differential temp, inside cylinder rust, dust particles comes out of valve , not allowing to close the pin / in the valve . It is real life problem happened to me last week
cooker safety valve, washer of cylinder, keep always in the fridge bcz easy to trace n long life of rubber washer .
In this situation better avoid metal things like bike or car keys etc. We can use like wooden things👍🏻
