One note here, the battle resulted in mutual annihilation of forces, so Pitta's fleet also would have been destroyed along with the Torpedo Sphere. Grunger also agreed to support Trioculus not so much as a believer of the Dark Side Cult, but rather the affect on other Imperial's loyalty to Trioculus if he acquired it along with the backing of the Grand Moffs and Prophets of the Dark Side, since Grunger was already a rogue state but with less infrastructure than say Zsinj, Teradoc or the CCoGM maintaining his armada while being at war with everyone around him would have been virtually impossible. It was really something akin to nominal lip service of loyalty most likely rather than a genuine commitment.
I am absolutely loving the Grand Admiral series! I would love to see more character profile style videos on other high ranking Imperials that may not be as well known.
I recently started getting into the Grand Admirals and even modded some into Thrawn's Revenge for the fun of it. And during my research, I realized how most of them are super idiots. But tbh, I think Grunger is pretty cool. Guess his biggest mistake, or issue, was that he got greedy with getting power as soon as the opportunity arose. He forgot to be tactical about it, and just went right for concurring the Core Worlds instead of being smart like Thrawn; taking your time and growing an actual sizeable fleet and picking off weakened planets. It would have had been cool to have Grunger, a former GA, as a Warlord with his own territory. Sure we got Zsinj and other Imperial high-folks. But no Warlord was an actual Grand Admiral (except maybe Thrawn). Would have been really cool to see.
Ah man I remember reading this book back when I was like 10 years old. One of the weirder ones if I remember correctly though it has been awhile. Wasn't there a force sensitive kid raised by droids in a bunker under Yavin 4 who somehow became relevant or something like that? I think he was obsessed with luke and Han.
Since you have brought it up multiple times do you think you will ever make a video about ackbar and winter’s relationship and how they might have been lovers? I legitimately knew nothing about that until you joked about it before.
I don't know if there's much material to draw on, but it would be interesting if you know of anything talking about how the general public reacted to the post-Palpatine Empire. I know we get some bits of that in the X-wing books. And during the NJO Danni Quee half jokes about "whichever warlord claimed her planet on any given week". But you seem to have read a lot more of the more side stuff than I have, like the role playing game books and source books and SW Insider stuff, so maybe there's more about the general public in there.
The funny thing is this wasn't even the last time two would be warlords died ramming an SSD into a torpedo sphere. IIRC it happened AGAIN during the Imperial Mutiny between the opening of Shadow Hand and the start of the Dark Empire comics.
Next Grand Admirals you should do next in order: 1. Miltin Takel 2. Rufaan Tigellinus 3. Nial Declann 4. Octavian Grant 5. Osvald Teshik 6. Pecatti Syn 7. Martio Batch 8. Afsheen Makati 9. Demetrius Zaarin
I think Tigellinus should follow Takel since Tigellinus was also involved with the Moff council IIRC, and will probably be referenced a bunch in the Takel video. Tigellinus could lead to Thrawn, snce I believe it was Tigellinus who got the chiss "exiled"
Zaarin he should only do if he's willing to put in the work and play TIE Fighter... He doesn't actually have to beat the Zaarin Campaign expansion, those levels are a MASSIVE spike in difficulty that can make you feel powerless even in a TIE Defender.
The 90s was the era of pulling ideas out of a hat and seeing what stuck. It feels from stories I read and heard that no one knew what to do with the universe post 6 with all the grand admirals, Sidious returning, and the war with the empire not ending until the late 90s.
Mandalorian Sector? Most of the planets mentioned that I could find (several years ago, when I was researching this)were in proximity to the Sanctuary Pipeline. Strange Sith distributing gloves is no basis for a system of government.
I don't get all the hate the older, dumber books like jedi prince get. If I am going to read a children's book I prefer a crazy, cheesy but original and unintentionally funny one than the more formulaic and "serious" young readers book type that is common more recently. It may seem that the absurdness of some things break the lore, but they must be seen as if they are told only from a certain point of view, and it is only a book, so we should be more forgetting than with movies or tv series. Also, the writting may be pretty bad in this kind of books, but if I am looking for high quality literature I will not search for it in Star Wars. If it is well written, I'll consider that a plus, but unless it makes the book completely unreadable, I am not going to complain too much about it.
Dead Sith Lord distributing gloves should not be base for a government.

Need to ask: CCoGM?
@@kingkusnacht Central Committee of Grand Moffs.
@@grandadmiralzaarin4962 Thanks, all these Council of Moffs and Ruling council and other groups can get quite confusing in the Bantam Era
@@kingkusnacht No worries, when a Galactic Empire dissolves into myriad Warlord factions keeping track of them all can be a bit daunting.
I think he could have held it together if he didn't immidiately go for the Core and instead focused on strenghening ties with his allies.

I can't wait for you to eventually do the Glove of Darth Vader. Everyone needs to know about the dark side sage who speaks in bath bomb.

Ackbar give her the fish stick. The end.

It would be really cool. We rarely hear how the day-to-day people actually feel about these huge events

Ah, Jedi Prince... shine on, you crazy, zany young readers' book.
Fun fact, Grunger makes a cameo in the game limbo of the lost.
I know this reference!!
Who would win:
Ambitious Grand Admiral with massive fleet.

One Spherical Boi
With a gigantic sector fleet

Non sequitur:
Booster Terrick, please and thank you.
Red Pirate Ships are probably the best.
First like, comment, and view. Keep up the good work and stay safe as always. May the force be with you.

Total screwup of a Grand Admiral. Lost his entire MASSIVE fleet fighting another Imperial! Sad!
Mandalorian Sector? Most of the planets mentioned that I could find (several years ago, when I was researching this)were in proximity to the Sanctuary Pipeline.

Could it be the word Over confidence?
DARK GREETINGS
Angry thrawn noises
When will you cover Taron Rogriss, are you still planing to do that?
Probably not till after they do Starfighters of Adumar... Which is the next Tapcaf.
