Now, I'm no expert but I'm fairly certain that this is a common method used by humans to reach, in their opinion, balanced positions regarding topical issues.

The more instances you see or hear, the more it points to social media being cancerous in its current form. The voices of the two extremes seem to rule the roost and drown out what IMO is the majority, that sit somewhere in the middle and seek debate / clarity that may pull them slightly to either end, but are getting increasingly scared to seek that debate any longer for fear of being 'cancelled'... which is a bollocks place to be... but getting back to a healthier place of sharing views with someone (or several people) and frequently getting to a point of 'agree to disagree' but respecting others views and opinions seems like an impossible dream in the current set up.

The taking a knee is not BLM. It's an anti-racism stance. Racism at football is now as bad, if not worse, than it was in the 1970's. So it has its place. I fail to see why anyone would be offended by it. I think a gesture toward an anti-racism stance is good to see.
