Thanks so much for this comment! Glad you liked the drill. I’ve got a bunch more drills and complete follow along workouts on my channel. Check ‘em out! 🥊🥊
Done a few years of mma training 8 years ago and have started sparring with mates again and I just got a reflex bag as I'm loving it even more than I used to, I feel like your channel will be a new favourite of mine
Great video coach. One thing I think you forgot, make sure the Reflex/Cobra bag is setup for the longest return time (both pipes at each end of the spring). If not, beginners are going to get frustrated at the crazy speed they aren't use to yet.
hell yea! Love to hear that. Keep me posted on how your training is going. Let me know which workouts you enjoy the most so I make sure to keep cranking them out this year!
Absolutely! Early on it’s all about taking your time and getting the timing down. I have a lot of videos for beginner boxing. Hopefully they help you continue to develop the boxing. Keep me posted on how it’s all going!
thanks so much! haha the venum bag is a good place to start and you can always upgrade down the road as you stick with it! keep me posted on how your training is going!
Thanks so much for this comment! I really appreciate it. Definitely got A LOT more drills and workouts on the way for ya. Big things coming in 2023. Let's get it 🥊🦋
You have me on boxing experience by a mile, but I piddle...I just wondered if you had ever tried designing or making your own reflex bag? I have made them off of another TH-camr's designs. Just find a base, and use a PVC pipe (from Home Depot, Lowe's, or local hardware store). Get a 1 and 1/2" pipe, then a 3/4" pipe. and you can put those in your base and you have about the fastest reflex bag out there. I mean it is faster than most of the springs you can buy. Plus if you put a heavy enough ball on it (make your ball out of pool noodles and duct tape) it will fly at you and follow you just like an opponent's punch. If I throw a medium power jab mine will rebound back at me and slap my shoulder, or hit me right in my guard almost everytime.
I’ve got one of these but the spring is at the bottom so I’m guessing it will make it a lot slower and easier I might get one of these cobra bags later
Yeah, spring on the bottom is a good place to start. It's much slower and will help you get used to boxing on a moving target, and I'd def recommend upgrading to the faster bag once you're ready. No rush though!
I’m just starting out in my training and I got an everlast bag from Walmart for like 80$. It’s a bottom spring which is slow asf so what I did is I lowered it as far as it goes (the lower the faster because less swing time) and I ratchet strapped with 3 straps onto a really heavy chair and filled it with sand then water to fill the air in the the bottom of the bag stand. Bag doesn’t move at all even with strong hooks at the end of the 123 combo. Works awesome cuz I can’t afford a really nice bag rn
Best reflex bag combos for beginners I've seen. Ryan Garcia type videos are completely useless if you want to learn. It would help me if you explain how to modify the speed of the reflex bag changing the spring. In my Viper reflex bag I don't see the way to customize it.
hell yea! reading this just fired me up 🔥 I break down my whole set up in this video ⬇️ links are in the description! th-cam.com/video/xUFkfS2pDNo/w-d-xo.html let me know if you have any questions 🥊
Can you suggest a decent beginner reflex bag? I don't want to go all in if my son decides not to stick with it. But want it to have good spring and not fall apart after a week.
Sure thing! My top choice for a beginner bag would be the Nista Cobra Bag by Vali Sports: valisports.com/products/nista-cobra-bag It's durable with a great spring, and it's significantly cheaper than the premium bags out there. You can also use my discount code: JPROJABS Let me know if any more questions come up. I hope he sticks with it!
Kewlus (spring only, DIY rest of the bag) is what I went with. Spent like $100 total (thats including the $50 spring) and works pretty good. He has a bunch of videos showing how to DIY, pretty simple and straight forward.
For beginners, I really like the Nista Cobra Bag by Vali sports: valisports.com/?ref=jlI8l6eV2DXvY6 💰 Discount Code: JPROJABS I like it because it's the slowest of the reflex bags so it's a great place to start. In terms of size, they are all similar. Should def fit in a smaller space. The smallest bag is the black mamba bag by grodex, but I wouldn't recommend starting with that one. Hope this helps!
Those springs so lose, really shit. The ringside has tighter ones making you punch harder working on defense, reflexes and anaerobic activity can't replace that
As a complete newbie, thank you.
Best beginner reflex video I have seen.

What's the reflex ball name, please? I follow you every time!!! 👏

Thanks coach! Just got ours today after a long wait, but my son and I enjoy it!

Kewlus cobra bag kit. Just brought. Also you can use their spring with other bags

What is your reflex bag brand?.
The only difference is that the spring is high. Lower gives more swing. Ofc you will be faster with a higher-attached-spring..
New to boxing here.
Are a reflex bag and double-ended bag largely the same?
Pretty similar! I think of it like if the stationary heavy bag and the double end bag had a baby
Is anyone working kicking into training with these bags?
Dont call me out bro, its all i have😭😭
Dont call me out bro, its all i have😭😭
what do u weight ur bag down with? those mma sand bags?
Yeah! They are from max mma if you search “double end bag anchor” on Amazon you should see it there. You have to buy the sand separately though
@@reflexbagworkouts how many anchor bags do u use for ur reflex bag ?
I bought sandbags at Home Depot, used heavy duty garbage bags and zip ties.
what cobra bag is good to start? in a small room ;)

How the hell do you keep that bag on there? I have a fierce flex and that bag always comes off eventually
I use adhesive tape and then cover it with a boxing hand wrap. Hope that helps!
Thanks you sir!@@reflexbagworkouts
Where can I get that exact boxing reflex bag???
Got you! Right here ➡️ www.fiercereflex.com/jprojabs
2x speed, you'll thank me
Those springs so lose, really shit. The ringside has tighter ones making you punch harder working on defense, reflexes and anaerobic activity can't replace that
The both poles are at the end so return is long. If he adjusted it, it would be a lot faster but this is a beginner video.
Bro are you irsih
slip on the inside is wrong. you are exposed
Thank you Tyson
More speed
Great video💯
thank you
