If you haven't done so already, go find any stage performance of Good Night and watch it, if for nothing else than to see the choreo for the opening bit with the music box sound. It's an absolutely brilliant dance intro, and is still one of the coolest damn openings to any K-pop choreo I've seen to date.

There's a dance practice available, which would be safer for a reaction. South Korean music shows networks are notorious for handing out copyright strikes.
From the moment I saw it, I started looking for all their choreographies. They're insane.

As other InSomnias already said, you should DEFINITELY check their insane choreos as well! Especially "Good Night" and in advance "You and I", "What", "Piri" and "Deja Vu".
In this MV, we have a glimpse for some members what nightmare they represent.
As a reminder, JiU's nightmare is being chased (we don't really see it with her but Siyeon and Yoohyeon instead), SuA is being paralyzed (the tree/root hands all over her legs), Siyeon is being trapped in small places (possibly the mirror trap), Handong is being watched (all the eyes in the room), Yoohyeon is being lost in an unknown place (the woods), Dami is being hurt/getting scars (not sure if we see this in this MV but there were some hints in "Chase Me") and Gahyeon falling from high places (pretty obvious in the MV).
In addition, story wise, it is more or less acknowledged that the guy is a hunter who was purposely looking for them (hence why he was smiling at the end of "Chase Me") and wanted to capture them to probably use them. He managed to get "Gahyeon" and "SuA" thanks to the magic book and was pursuing Siyeon and Yoohyeon. But JiU, Dami and Handong found a way to get back the book, deliver the other girls and trap the hunter instead. So now the girls are all freed from the other world and are in our world, but they lost the book on their way out of the woods. 😱
As usual thanks for the reaction! You are real InSomnias as you recognize them already well. Recognizing their vocals are even harder to be honest. Fun fact about recognizing just a hand, Dami's hands are really pretty, with long and slim fingers (the hand grabbing the book in the MV helped some Somnies to notice). 😄 Did you know that Kit (insomnicsy channel creator) started to be an InSomnia this year as well?

Every DC title track I always saw several times,
first I saw the entire clip, second understood the details of the music and lyrics, the third understood the story in the clip etc.,
because they were a full package, had vocals, powerful dance, cool producer leez / ollounder, had stories , unique, they had all packages
You were close; Good Night is Deukae's second video. Fly High is the next in the series, but it serves as a prequel to the first two, hence the name of its mini-album... Prequel. 😜
The tune you heard at the beginning of Good Night played in the outro _after_ Chase Me...
As far as paying for the music is concerned, you can buy it places like Amazon Music, where you can pay to download the mp3s. That way you also have offline versions that you can listen to any way you like; I have copies stored on my phone so I can listen to them when I'm on the move without relying on using my data allowance.
For physical copies, places like YesAsia and Ktown4u, as well as Amazon, are also great for later releases; you may be able to get albums as early as Escape the Era (with You and I) for a reasonable price. The two first singles and Prequel, though, are long out of print, so the only way you're getting those is by being _really_ lucky on eBay or something.

Not to blow your mind or anything, but this m/v they dropped the Book of Evil that pulled them into the Nightmare in the first place by a tree. Years later in the future the Dystopia videos have been centered around... a bigger, twisted, tree...

9:02 Oh, that is something I can answer if no one else has already. Buying the album on whatever music selling platform is always the best way to support the girls because pure sales both count more towards charting and they get more money for it. The scale would go physical > digital download > streaming as far as what benefits them the most financially. Streaming works differently from actual song purchases and can even depend on if you have a free or premium account with your streaming platform of choice. I'll use Billboard charting as my example. For charting, one stream is equal to one point on a premium account, 2/3 points on a free. For a premium account, 1,250 streams is equivilant to a single album sale while free accounts need 3,750 streams to count as an album sale. Each platform also pays different amounts per stream as well, though none of them pay much in the grand scheme of things.For example, Spotify pays out ~$0.0038 per stream, Apple Music pays ~$0.00783, and TH-cam pays ~$0.00074. That is why stans push so much to stream their faves; more streams means more revenue but you need to build up a lot of streams to make a significant amount of money. It is also why I try to encourage other inSomnias to stream on platforms other than TH-cam; views are great to gain visibility but streaming on dedicted streaming sites is better help financially if you cannot afford to buy albums.
Sorry for the mini essay, I just know a lot about streaming and albums sales and all that being an ARMY since 2014 😅

i dont think buying their songs on spotify or apple music or any non-korean streaming platform will be a huge revenue for them tbh. Maybe streaming or downloading their stuff from korean streaming platforms such as bugs or genie would be better. I have been buying streaming passes on bugs to stream during the first month of a comeback for a while now, it's not really expensive, with 10 usd you can buy a month worthy streaming pass. (the quality of the sound is superior tbh). Our fandom is still very small, but i'd say we put up a good fight. Unfortunately it has not been enough to get us a win yet (for many reasons). But the bright side is that we get better each comeback even if we are competing against stronger and bigger groups, we never give up and do our best, so... we'll make it someday....
Dreamcatcher was nominated for a bonsang (Seoul Music Award) in two categories, one of them has 12 winners and it's based on album sale, judges and an online vote. We kinda have a good chance of winning it (imagine getting a bonsang before getting a first win lmao). The vote is already happening, you can vote 10 times a day in each category (the "main" category is our focus), and you can get 10 votes by watching ads (5 ads = 1 vote) in the sma app, or buy the votes through another app (whosfan or idol champ, but whosfan is cheaper). If you guys want to help, feel free to join us in the vote fighting. Or if you could motivate people to vote for them, that would be of great help too :)
Btw this picks up where chase me left off, they are trapped by the ghost hunter (that guy) and they manage do to a ritual to get the book where he has them trapped. They burn the pages, thus freeing the members. then trap him in the mirror and they escape into the woods, but they drop the book by accident.
SuA and Dami did the rap in Good Night.
Never heard anyone claim Gahyeon rapped in this MV or any other. She didn't rap in an MV until PIRI. She had done some rapping of a minor role in a busking, I think.
You are right! I just got to know them this year also and it’s a shame I got to them this late. But I’ve realized we, imsomnias, have grown so much. I’m waiting for the next comeback so we can work harder and finally get them their first win (😭😭😭)...Also don’t know if u know MAMAMOO but they are also another level (best vocal group in kpop hands down) and they are way more than kpop...just like DC, also there are a lot of MooSomnias) out there (Mamamoo+Dreamcatcher fans) 🤟🏻

So basically you can cheak out whole Nightmare searies Theory on youtube but here is quickly the Order of each song.
1. Fly High - Before they became nightmares (Mini album is basically called Prequel)
2. You and I - Kinda a limbo state
3. What - Kinda still a state of limbo. JiU is trying to save Yoohyeon from her being traped at the end of You and I (idk how to explain)
4. Piri - When they finaly fully became nightmares and reunited at the end of MV (For both What and Piri some people say that they dont fit into a story but to me honeslty they do)
5. Chase me - Basicaly what i think happened that that hotel is the mantion that they lived in in Fly High. But since they are nightmares they are ghosts probably, so people found the mantion and redesigned it into Hotel, Dreamcatcher cursed the place and then the guy from the MV came to investigate and traped them (He found them at the end of MV in that room and cought a few of them, SuA, Siyeon and Gahyeon)
6. Good Nigh - The rest of the girls are trying to save them and when they sucsseded they traped the guy in the mirror (The single is litteraly called Fall asleep in the mirror)
Deja Vu and Rose blue dont fit into any story line since they are specially created for games.
And in the future we will see for Dystopia triology but the order is
1. Scream
2. Boca
3. ?
Their japanese realises arent conected to eachother or to any korean realise. Breaking out has its own story and for Endless Night their focused more on visuals then the story. No More doesnt have MV with girls in it so yeah.

best way to support your faves in order: concert and merch from their official shop (they usually get a 50/50 cut) ➡ physical albums ➡ downloads ➡ streaming.
The amount they get per stream is minimal and most of it goes to the songwriter but it's good advertising. Like Spotify pays the least per stream among streaming services but they have so many users that many people find out about new groups from their playlists and stuff. TH-cam and Amazon pay the most among streaming services + TH-cam pays the channel owner as well so if streaming is all you can do, stream their MVs on their official channel.

Streaming still pays the company... and depending on their contract they get paid... but in reality most music artist get paid in Concert sales, events, and royalties... but it all depends on the contract and again they get more money if they write and produce the music themselves... probably why Soyeon is GETTING PAID by cube for GIdle stuff

Dreamcatcher They add Gahyeon in the rap line.... but Siyeon, Handong also can rapper.... I recommend doing several mv a day because there are many ... it takes almost 2 days for the title track and 1 or 2 days for the b-side track and another several days for the covers.... including Japanese tracks
well really just two since sua said she doesn't like the way she raps (she stated this recently) and honestly dcc hasn't pushed for her to be a rapper since good night era

Until the group pays back their training, anything they get coming in is a very tiny percent. It is pretty standard that the labels recoup the money they have spent on training and housing the would-be idols. THE ONLY ones who get anything from the albums, regardless of how they are sold are those who have writing credits or producing credits for that track. Performers would generally get whatever form of payment based on their contracts. If one of the ladies go off and do a commercial or an acting gig, the money they would make is outside, and acceptable to the label, and that payment would go to the Idol minus whatever management fee, etc. So Handong doing that acting in the short in China, she would get the money minus the fee and taxes for whoever got her the gig. Compared to an mv as a singer under DCC, it was probably considerably more. Once the debt is paid off that is when they'll do better. However, like in the western world, those who write arrange, and produce would get royalties on those particular songs. I would assume that the same is in SK as in the US or at least similar.

FUN FACT: The story is actually backwards continuous. If you watch from Fly High and then connect the story backwards. (Fly High>Good Night>Chase Me.)
actually Good Night is after Chase Me and Fly High is a prequel to the whole nightmare series so in chronological order it would be Fly High -> Chase Me -> Good Night

@@ianm271 they become nightmares in Fly High, that's the whole storyline of that video. then Chase Me is their first encounter with the nightmare hunter, who's trying to catch them. Good Night continues the storyline with the nightmare hunter. He captures Gahyeon and Sua and his henchmen are hunting Yoohyeon and Siyeon, so Jiu, Handong, and Dami have to save them all. you'll notice that the Good Night MV starts with a recap of what happened at the end of Chase Me, and the ending melody in the Chase Me MV is the beginning melody for Good Night. plus, they trap the nightmare hunter at the end of Good Night so they're kind of closing that chapter of the story. so yeah, Fly High is the only one that was released out of order. other than that, the release order is the chronological order of the story
