Really respect you guys for how yall hunt and film. Really enjoy your videos and I just purchased a pack of tooth of the arrow heads and a 320 grit sharpener. I have killed a ton of deer with a compound bow but tore my shoulder up a few years back and now I hunt with a crossbow. I went with the 175 gr head for higher foc and heavy arrow weight. I live in SE Arkansas and hunt public land just like you guys do. I'm 61 years old and still getting after em.
Supporting an American company is important to me and I think the USG should do all it can to advantage American companies over competition from abroad. I bought a pack of these broadheads a couple of years ago and just waited for a sharpener to come out. I will purchase a sharpener in the future and give them a go. Good luck this fall - I have no doubt that you two will get some great bucks. Thank you for putting out quality content.
I’ve never played the wind or even looked at it. I hunt my favorite stand and shoot a big buck every year out of the same 3 stands the last 25 years. Must be lucky lmao
Tried them myself about mid season last fall after seeing a couple of y’all’s videos. Both deer I shot late season went no less than 20 yards and piled up. Granted, shot placement is still everything but it certainly helps to have an outstanding broadhead!
Recently found you on TH-cam. I’m a longtime bow hunter in SC. I’m 54, old school hunting 40-50 solo hunts annually. Just wanna say you rock brother. Only about 3 seasons ago I even became interested in seeking mature bucks. Your videos are chalked full of great knowledge on this topic. I like that your hardcore, sleeping in your vehicle and such. God bless and keep um coming.
I bought a set of the 100 grain vented with the sharpener at the end of last season. They shoot excellent out of my bow. I can’t wait to use them this season.
I made the jump to the 1” solid and 150 gr. out of my crossbow and boy do they pack a punch can’t wait to try them this season on a big ol whitetail…. By the way it was because of watching you guys that I seen them and had to give them a try….. thanks a lot and good hunting!!
I am in Michigan and I have killed multiple mature bucks with these heads. I use the standard 125gn with a 95gn outsert in a victory Vap TKO. Very deadly combo. Tooth of the Arrow heads are freakishly awesome.
I've had the same luck with a 4blade slicktrick. Several deer as fell in sight. I was skeptical at first the heads was so small. I am gonna give thes a try because I think the solid would be a tuffer head.
Got too test the TOTA broadheads so far. The TOTA 100gr vent xl broadhead. One with the 4 inch cut. Out of my Wicked Ridge 400 Raider decock crossbow. They shot very good out of it. Took my wife on her first bear hunt. Wendesday morning archery bear season opened in Arkansas. First bear came in was young and small. 2nd bear was a toad of a boar. That TOTA blew right thru him . Into a metal 55 gallon drum. Blood was pouring out both sides. U couldn't asked for better blood trail. He went less than 50 yards straight down hill. He's a big one for Arkansas. Wouldn't come close too fitting on back of 4 wheeler.
I shoot the 125 solid and man they will do some damage!! Also sharp as crap! Watching your channel finally made me purchase them! They leave a heck of a hole.
@doityourselfhunter9031 thanks for that.... enjoy your videos... would like to experience the public hunt life...and also what do u put the meat in before you haul it out?
We us Akek packs. I keep a contractor bag in my pack at all times. I bone it out in the woods and put in bag till I get to vehicle then put meat in a cooler with ice.
Can you use these broadheads in a crossbow Barnett whitetailhunter str 375 feet per second? I been using thunderheads and g5 Montecs 100 grain 3 blades and been very successful with many kills.
Yes sir I shoot them out of my Barnett droptine str it shoots 380 fps but I went up in arrow weight so I got the solid 1” 150 gr. total arrow weight is 529 gr… hope this helps
Ok thanks and which series do you think would fit my setup best? I’m gonna try them and I watch all your videos and love the way u guys hunt. I hunt public land in Louisiana and I’m 55 years old and have killed many nice bucks and I love fixed broadheads.
Good review. We absolutely should be supporting American based business as much as we can. Question: Are you going to try out their single bevel this season?
Really appreciate the archery vids. Just speaking for myself here with bad shoulders. Would yell do some hand load bullet stuff? I'm trying out some 125 grain 3006 noslers this season. Thanks guys gud stuf
Just bought a new crossbow this week, while doing research for broadheads I was reading on one of the forums that ya'll did a video on these, don't know why it didn't show up my feed ...hmmmm.... Anyhow, Glad ya'll did this timely review right when I was looking for a good head for early archery seaon this year. I ordered a set of 125grain 1" Solid along with the sharpener and used your pro code for the 20% off !!! Thanks for the Great content, we really enjoy the hunts, and best of luck this year we will be watching!!
I shoot the 150gr xl solids and love them. They fly just like my field points and leave a devastating hole. It’s almost a perfect square when it exists. No way for it to clot up.
Yes, it does. I sharpen new heads with it, and it gets them significantly sharper than the factory edge. I believe the factory edge is with 320 grit. Stay Sharp goes up to 2000 grit before using buffing compound.
I use single bevel cutthroat's... I can get them sharper than anything out of the pack, and they are super durable and unfortunately, super expensive 😂 they are easy to tune also... but I would like to try these.
FYI... Not trying to argue about anything. Just wanted to give you my experience. I use to shoot cut throat, single bevel heads. Switched to iron will because I didn't love the way the cut throat sharpened. I can tell you without a doubt the iron will is a much better head. The steel is much more durable and holds an edge way better. They both claim to use T6 tool grade steel, but there is a noticeable quality difference between the two. Iron Will is also an American company. I've shot 7 deer with the same 2 broad heads over the last 3 years. Just my two cents for the single bevel guys.
@jnewsome025 I switched from the iron will to the cutthroat's, and we will have to agree to disagree... also cutthroat's are made in the USA and offers a lifetime warranty. Not sure about all of the iron will broadhead's,but most of the time, they use A2 tool steel... not T6??? At least not the ones I hunted with.
Guys...I agree except for one thing...cost! Magnus broad heads are Made in America also. And best of all, besides being EXCELLENT heads, they are guaranteed for life! I have killed many deer with these heads, packaged them up at season end, sent them back to Magnus, and received ALL free new replaced broad heads, But now the STAY SHARP broadhead jigs have hit the market, I just resharpen them myself. I've used 1 broadhead and resharpened it FIVE times to kill FIVE deer in a single season!
I shoot arrows with 3 fletch vanes I am curious how a 4 blade broadhead will fly in this configuration. I broadhead tune all my arrows to my fletching.
I been watching your video them broadheads look mean I just ordered some go try them out I ordered some magnus stinger last year never got to shot at any thing with them
I hunt in Arkansas. I got a new Wicked Ridge crossbow. I have 2 pack of the 100 gr v xl broadheads. Waiting on my 100 gr v broadheads to come in. I am planning on shooting them in my new crossbow. I am going to fixed blade because of hog population. On a big hog i dont trust a mechanical broadhead.
