We charge 600 for an IM cleaning in NYC. Its out of line how far they let them go. Its basically reactive maintenance. Now you have to pay. Just spent 5hrs on a KM.
So the issue was the filter? My machine isnt making ice either. I bought it used, it worked before they unhooked it. I brought it to my shop on the trailer and its getting water properly, no ice thought
i have a adexa hzb-120f , and it goes to freeze and then defrost but the water pump does not move water to the top. i have installed a new pump, same problem.
I maintain a liquor store that has the identical machine, and yes they are sensitive to hard water deposits. The one I look after gets cleaned every three months + a new filter every year and it runs like a top. They are a great machine to work on, two screws at the top of the case, two screws behind the lower cover that you took off, remove the control cable from the motherboard and the drain line and the entire bin slides off the base. All of the mechanical is open and accessible.
I have the same machine and it's making thicc sheets of ice. Thanks for this. I'm totally ice machine ignorant. Do you make your own cleaner? Can I use citric acid?
most customers have no idea there is a filter down.there...every unit i work on has a plugged filter. another common problem with the neo under counter units is the hot gas valves are going bad...either stuck open or stuck closed....i replaced at least 8 of them over the last 3 months
@@BlackHawkPSU if the valve gets stuck closed it will energize during harvest but wont open to allow the hot gas into the evaporator plate to harvest the ice off of it. If it gets stuck open the machine wont make ice in the freeze cycle and you may see steam coming from inside the bin because it will be circulating water over a hot evaporator plate.and the freon pressures will be almost equalized.
@@kingofthecrease30 Thank you very much for the reply! I have issues with a Neo UY0140A-161B, 8 years old. The water trough fills with water normally, water then cascades down the evap to form a sheet of ice, and it starts to melt the ice and then the next thing you know... water starts running again over the evap and the sheet of ice is never ejected from the evap and a HUGE chunk of ice is then stuck on the evap. Happens on occasion. Fan cycle switch went bad and was bypassed. Parts replaced... new pump, new harvest and thickness floats, and control pad. Unit is immaculately clean inside as is the filter and condenser. Unit is level, control board is fine. Techs can't figure it out so I took it out of service and bought a new one. I still wish I could get this problem one working. It frustrates me as I took very good care of it.

Got that same ice machine and when its running it causes RFI on the 75 meter band, every 10khz... going to need a bigger toroid.
Just got one for free. Now it's time to learn about them. When plugged in there is no sound at all from the compressor.
Bad compressor or start components
board busterz repairs the manitowoc control boards. Takes us 1 day and it's a much cheaper option. Keep us in mind!

Manitowoc makes there Evaps in house not overseas, just came from there factory, just so you know.

I worked on the same ice machine today. Mine had a bad harvest float. 0140 model
What is was the bad harvest float causing? I’m new to ice machine repair.

Do you have a brush to get in the grid with? A tooth brush doesn’t get in well.
