    RE is really becoming a serious brand. Even here in the states, where people used to think they were mostly junk, I get compliments on me Interceptor all the time. I've even had a couple guys say "Harley needs to make something like that" 😅

    I guess this is probably the first time a company invites all the reviewers and youtubers and vloggers and give them the highest and best treatment and services regarding their stays, accomodation, riding gears, food etc. merely for their new bike launch. This has got to be the best launch of any motorcycle so far. Other companies need to learn from Royal Enfield. Even after marketing their products for such affordable fantastic prices they are able to provide such good services for their consumers.

      All launches are similar to this, but I must say this was definitely the best one I have been on. They went above and beyond!

    • @4RMS7TRONG
      @4RMS7TRONG หลายเดือนก่อน +13

      Basically if you treat the riders well they'll say good things about your bike. A lot of good youtubers won't go to these launches because they prefer to ride them on UK roads whilst not being pampered by a marketing team 🤣

    • @MrDarcy-OlMan
      @MrDarcy-OlMan  หลายเดือนก่อน +28

      @4RMS7TRONG as you can see from my video, I’m not afraid to tell people my true opinion. Sure it’s nice to be pampered but I’m not gonna put on rose tinted spectacles because of it. If I don’t like something I’ll say it, full stop.

    Offset speedo actually is practical as it allows for a mobile holder without blocking speedo view.

    • @MrDarcy-OlMan
      @MrDarcy-OlMan  20 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      We can still see our speedo on our bikes with it in the centre, and have a mobile on a quadlock to the side, without spoiling the aesthetic of the bike 👌🏼👍🏼👍🏼

    Am I the only one who’s really really blown away by how this thing looks? I love every inch of it, and only hope it rides as well as is looks. The only real disappointment is the sound, which is a bit nondescript. I’m taking one for a spin as soon as the local showroom gets one.

    Nice to hear Royal Enfield is sticking to their philosophy and keeping even their more powerful bikes relaxing to drive in the city. Cities are so slow with roundabouts and traffic lights that it really makes a difference to at least my enjoyment of a ride. I wouldn't want a 1000cc Fireblade in city traffic..

      There is one actually. Its called Analog (which is a base variant) It has a classic speedo (the one they use in a Meteor) and it comes in just one plain matt greyish kinda finish which honestly looks the best amongst the kaleidoscope of colors the other variants have.

    Why does it upset so many people that some of the RE speedo’s are not centrally mounted instead of dissing it treat it like that cup of tea scenario if you mount the speedo to one side then your phone/ sat nav will have a proper place to sit when you’re clocks are central everything you mount has to be in the way or hanging on sky hooks so i like my off set speedo thank you👍😁

    The colors on the one you rode here remind me of something from a video game or comic book, so there's the under-30 marketing. Overall it's an interesting bike, and you can't beat the price.

  • @Rinzler900
    @Rinzler900 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    Very good review, I really liked the travel style review you did there, very good indeed! So it feels like this bike is in direct competition with the triumph speed/scrambler 400 then, which makes sense because the 350’s RE have done up until now don’t produce the same power. It feels like there is just so much choice now from RE across their range, the danger is having too much choice that a customer can no longer decide what to buy LOL! I’m with you on gone looks of the Guerrilla though, as much as it’s a nice bike there are some aspects of it that I’d be changing too like the exhaust. Thanks again for the great review, always brilliant to watch you guys!

  • @BlueRidgeRider
    @BlueRidgeRider หลายเดือนก่อน +4

    My wife loves the yellow and purple color. I understand the need to appeal to younger people and bring in new riders but they need at least one option that suits us old folks. A simple, solid color with only a tank badge and something on the side panels. Black would be most popular but I was thinking a nice metallic red. Or a Ferrari red with gold wheels. In any case, it is going to be another hit for Royal Enfield!

    Guerrilla warfare is a war tactic in which small groups of people (Spanish: guerrilleros) fight against an organized army. Guerrilla warfare is sometimes practiced in places in which a regular army would have difficulty, such as forests and mountains. Usually, the army is invading a territory. In open fields, the organized army, which is better armed and larger, has the advantage. However, in forests and mountains, the guerillas can gain an advantage over larger and better-armed armies. In some wars such as the American Revolutionary War or the Vietnam War, guerilla warfare tactics have been successful and were one of the main reasons for the final result.

    Hi Darcy matey 👍 it's mark from Wirral Merseyside 👍.. my honest opinion on all of the royal Enfield motorcycles is that i love every model of the royal Enfield motorcycles and I'd definitely would buy one of each model for myself. And i definitely agree with you about the black and yellow royal Enfield gurila it's not my choice of colour but don't get me wrong it still looks great but not my choice of colour at the moment but it will grow on me though. And it was funny when your camera overheated. But at least you enjoyed yourself in Barcelona with the new royal Enfield. And I'm only 5foot 7"inches and would you say that any royal Enfield motorcycles would be fine for me from 350cc upto 650cc but I'll be happy with 350cc or 450cc royal Enfield for going to work and casual riding. Hope to hear from you soon thanks from mark from Wirral Merseyside 👍. Royal Enfield motorcycles seems to be best bikes for me really

    Not a bad looking bike. Ideal for blasting around town with enough grunt to keep up with the flow on faster roads. Yeah, the tank's small, but with its intended use of a city commuter, bar hopper, etc, why the need for an adventure bike sized tank. The colour scheme, well, not every one's cup of tea, but I suppose it'll grow on ya.
    Price is excellent. Cheaper that a lot of smaller 125's. It is what it is. A cheap get you from A to B without any fuss or silly palaver Well done RE.

    nice ride, we had our first visit to Barcelona about a year ago *we drove a rental car to San Remo and back with multiple stops, finishing for a couple of days in Barcelona, very nice place. And seeing the Gaudi was extra cool for me, because I know a couple of Gaudi family members in Texas. *here on some days I commute on a Kawasaki Versys x300 which seems to fit ok (201cm tall, 6'7")

    Looks a fun little city bike, styling wise its 80% there but cant help feel they've missed out...oval exhaust, USD forks and more pitched forward ergos for a slightly flatter bar would really make this a good looking and engaging Triumph alternative....

    That was your best video yet. The b roll is what makes the video entertaining. I think the bike looks like the Hunter. Not a fan of the fork gaiters and the paintwork is hideous. Shame as it sounds great from what you told us.

      Thank you so much, this is the direction we want to take the Channel in! The base colour and playa black look good in my opinion the rest are a bit much. I like the fork gaiters tbh

    As a tall rider i really appreciate RE putting real effort into ergos. Some manufacturers are just a no go for me. Do they offset the dial for folk to mount there phone on the bars?

    • @MrDarcy-OlMan
      @MrDarcy-OlMan  หลายเดือนก่อน

      They didn’t give a reason but the dial doubles as a sat nav when paired with your phone so the question is do you need to mount the phone on the bars in that case

    When a company spend all that money wineing and dining you i feel that it's ingenious to pan its products resulting in people often giving a glowing review but thankfully i thought you gave a very balanced one. Being a big bloke, like yourself, i find the Triumph 400s just too small this bike looks much more grown-up to me and unlike the Triumph would be much more on my shopping list.

    Had a Hunter, now have a SM 650. I’m not sure they have done enough to tempt me, I don’t like the look and shape of the seat; some of the colour choices are not great either. I will wait until I see one in the flesh 😇

    Im going to ask a potentially unpopular question: could this engine be used in a new bullet/classic 500? I know everyone wants a classic 650, but to my mind you’re more or less making the shotgun again with slightly different styling

    • @MrDarcy-OlMan
      @MrDarcy-OlMan  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It wouldn’t really go with a classic styled bike tbh. It hasn’t got the beauty of the 650 engine or the character

      @@MrDarcy-OlManI completely agree, but looking at the spyshots people have posted of the supposed classic 650, it straight up is a shotgun with a classic/bullet casket light and speedo. If that’s all they do, id personally prefer if they released plainer colours for the shotgun or put this engine in a bullet frame. Idk, just has me wondering

    Thumbs up for centre stand, conventional forks with gaiters & decent coverage front mudguard.
    Thumbs down for offset speedo & fuel tank size.
    Would I pick this or the Himalayan? The Himalayan would be my choice, even though I rarely go off road. The fuel tank size is one factor that makes the Himalayan more enticing.
